The location was amazing! Across from the river/lake, near the town centre (but not right there, so not super busy), within walking distance of the beach - and quiet! This was probably the quietest "pub" with the best rooms we have stayed in!

Our daughter had booked a room for herself, her husband and their 6 year-old, with the promise of a trundle bed for the child. Not only was their room the only one of the three our family utilized the only one that wouldn't really fit a trundle bed, but they had to ask several times before it arrived. Our son swapped with his sister and family so that the trundle bed would better fit into the room...

Nice location by the water, efficient check in. Facilities were mostly clean. TV and aircon was nice. Towels and tea and biscuits also provided. Had our own keys, so we were free to go off our own schedule.

Could have been cleaner, but was nothing crazy. Just a few crumbs left around and rubbish under the bed, everything else was quite clean though.

Great size loved the space for the price I couldn’t compare to any thing else it was top of by far the best pub room for its class range by a long shot , extremely clean and has lovely bathroom and modern ammenities and great location. Great view from the balcony , be as social or as private as you choose. It’s got best of both worlds.

Maby a bigger tv for the room size And more of a mini bar.

The Manager has a very good grasp on the meaning of Hospitality, has great knowledge and also holds a comfortable conversation with his patrons whilst monitoring all areas. Great room for the $$ spent, good food and all in all a friendly professional operation and disposition. Definitely be back in 3 weeks!

Going home too soon lol

We had incorrectly booked our location, but they happily changed to the next night so we could have a stop over on our way back, nothing was a problem, even though my error, we received a free upgrade to an ensuite room which was perfect. Will definitely stay again next time we visit Forster :) We ordered our meal and took it to our room, which we could sit outside on a deck to eat our meal.

Although it did not bother us, it may some, we stayed on a Friday night, there was a DJ playing which you could hear as we had a quite night in, but the music did not bother us at all and we went to sleep easy enough :)

We loved our room with the gorgeous view, looking over the lakes. On New Year's we had a prime view of the fire works - right in front of us. The staff including John Thomas manager/owner and cleaner Sonya were absolute delights. We chose a room with an ensuite which was lovely. Just downstairs was the fabulous bar and restaurant. The food was delicious. We were thrilled to stay here for the price we paid in the high season. We can't wait to go back. The location to everything was perfect.

That we couldn't stay longer!

Nice busy pub with large rooms and a huge bathroom. Good food too with a view of the lakes from the terrace. We a had two perfectly cooked steaks (1 rare, 1 medium rare) for ten dollars each (Day special, different deals daily)

You had to run around to findastaffmember that could help. Didn't get a WiFi code and when asked the bar for itt he next whilst eating and drinking, we were told no as we were no longer guests.

Small compact room with en-suite. Had a river view which we loved to on the balcony and have lunch. Room was clean tidy and up to date. Amazing location, especially if you like fishing. Friendly staff and helpful.

Can be a bit noisy on a Friday and Saturday evening, but when you stay above a pub, you must expect that. We wanted to stay longer than 4 nights.

Room was a good size, location was great, walk to town easily. Parking was easy in the streets around. Would stay here again.

We could hear conversations from the gaming room below our room, this went quiet as the night wore on. Could possibly have been very noisy if there was a band downstairs.

Great location right beside the lake. Upstairs from pub with food options was a bonus for us. Beds and pillows surprisingly good, meaning a good night's sleep was had by all. Rooms with ensuites were decent in size. Shared bathroom facilities were very clean. Very friendly staff.

Basins in some of the rooms need updating.
