We had one of the refurbished rooms and what a delightful, intelligently designed tastefully appointed room it was. It wasn't just a room, it was a holiday space. The decor fitted the theme of a beach break and was as comfortable as attractive. The long bench with under storage allowed for everything to be stored away neatly with no mess or trip hazards. The board with pegs for hanging clothes is much nicer than those gloomy small cupboards usually found in motel rooms. The bed was firm and very comfortable. Pillows smelled clean and fresh. The pool, just outside our balcony door, was clean and had sensible swimming hours. The hosts were friendly, helpful and always accommodating.

We really loved this motel very convent to all convenances a nice walk over the bridge to Foster, and to the rock pool in Tuncurry, a great coffee shop across the street. The staff were great at the motel. We stayed there a number of years ago but they have done a lot off renovations and hope to do more. We have booked again in January. The only thing I would like to have been some more storage space, ok for a weekend but I think more for a week. But all in all, a great place.

It would have been good if some of the shops especially the dress shop and quilt shop in Tuncurry were open on Sunday, especially in the warmer months but understand them not opening.

We organised the rooms at late notice so our check in time was after hours. Staff without being asked accommodated us straight away and had our rooms made up and ready to go. We also had to unexpectedly book an extra night the day of our original checkout, and the staff once again came to our rescue and worked things around us so our staff could remain in their original rooms. It may not seem like a lot, but when the stress from working away from home becomes high, it’s a nice relief to have people go above and beyond to make your time as comfortable and stress free as possible.

The managers were excellent as my husband got sick after two days had to take him to JHH the managers were happy to let us use the rest of our holidays when we are able lovely people great pool close to every think thanks once again Rhonda and Richard Hasler

Excellent location - so close to everything and within walking distance to shops, Tuncurry Rockpool, restaurants, shops and cafes. Only ten minutes’ walk to Forster. Love the beautiful, clean swimming pool and the Bali lounges. Our beds were very comfortable. Great value for a low budget holiday. We will be back!

Car parking can be a bit tight at times. One car parked right in front of our window in unit number 7.

I stayed in a downstairs renovated queen room which was very comfortable and perfect for my stay. I loved the interior design and furnishings and when I opened the front door I was greeted with a beautiful grassed garden with Bali hut sun lounges. The water and bridge views are spectacular.

The guest laundry was dated but I was advised the motel had additional renovations planned for the future.

Hosts were very helpful, nothing a problem, made the stay even more enjoyable. Room was a good size, very clean and fresh, comfortable bed. Walk outside to the pool area and suntanning lounges 👍😎 Central location to the river and walks around the area. Have rebooked to stay there again on our way back home.

The location is great for closeness to food outlets and shops especially if you don't want to drive. The bridge is just across the road with picnic areas right on the Lake. The Saturday Markets and Fun Fair are also really close by so again, don't need to drive. Parking is off the main road and security is good. The rooms have a front and back door out to the garden, and so you can sit and watch the tide change whilst having a cold Beveridge in the evening. Fresh air flows through the sizeable room reducing use of air conditioner. Rooms are comfy with extra chairs to watch television or eat breakfast/lunch/dinner. I would stay here with my young grandchildren with the pool so close by and the spacious garden to stretch their legs. The beds were made beautifully with comfy pillows and fresh scattered cushions along with supplied bathroom essentials. I'm booking again soon and know that my room will be awesome, and I can anticipate a really lovely weeks break again soon.

Some might find the kitchenette a little old, but the motel is quite old. The position itself is unique, however, and there is everything you will need should you cook in the microwave and serve meals for yourselves.

The location was perfect for my needs. On arrival the management was very welcoming and accommodating. The advertised pictures you see when booking were exactly what you get when you go to the destination.

small suggestion not really an issue but it would have been nice to have a comfy lounge type chair to sit on.

Location is really good - close to Woolies, beach, medical centre, pub, post office, and a walking distance from Forster city centre. Very quiet and the staff very helpful. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable. The amenities in the room were ok, the only thing missing, and that I would recommend to have would be: 1 kitchen knife and 2 small bowls in case guests want to eat some fruit and cereal for breakfast in the room. But it was a very good stay.
