The bed was comfortable, no itchy blankets. Bathroom and kitchen were adequately functional, shower was actually quite roomy! Aircon didn't freeze the room but still kept out comfortable. The Samsung TV is capable of receiving cast-stream from Samsung phones so that was nice.

Wifi kept saying it had connection but no internet. There is pretty much zero 4G connection in the building so to look for places to eat, I had to go out to the road. I could still get push notifications and emails but not much else. I don't know if it was just our room being in the middle of the building but it was a bit annoying. Whilst the kitchen was more than many, the toaster still had crumbs from the last visitor in it, so we couldn't use it as one of us has coeliac disease. It was otherwise quite good.

Beautiful location and lovely view from the upstairs balcony. The room (Room 10) was well set up with chairs inside as well as on the balcony. It is good to have a kitchen sink as often there is only the bathroom basin for water. The cafe next door has excellent food and there is a supermarket around the corner and pub with bistro for dinner within walking distance. Lovely walk over the road along the waterfront, with abundant birdlife. There are plates, bowls, cutlery in a basket under the sink.

The bed was very firm, and could benefit from a mattress topper.

Room was well set up, with perfect furniture to enjoy a stay .Very Clean , you can tell when a cleaner cares about their work .The Bathroom and shower were well laid out and again nice and clean. We had a corner top level room which gave exceptional views of the River across the road .Could view the sunrise and sunset all from our room. The location was also excellent with places to eat or buy food all within a few meters .The Staff were so friendly and helpful ,made us feel exceptionally welcome .Left very relaxed and happy and would recommend Anchor bay Motel to all my friends and family.

Really struggling to think of anything I did not like .For my wife and i it was just perfect .

This motel is in a beautiful location adjoining a large park and lovely waterway and thankfully Greenwell Point is quieter than many of the surrounding places. The rooms are pleasant and comfortable with two lounge chairs to relax in. Some have balcony furniture. The bed is very comfortable, shower great and the towels good. The kitchenette is functional and you could easily provide your own breakfast. There is an IGA for provisions and a cafe nearby. We enjoyed dinner at the low key hotel where the chef made us feel very welcome. At the time he was solo in the kitchen so options were limited, we had a delicious pizza. It would be wise to check if meals are available when you visit, website says every night however there may be staffing issues.

Little things like the fridge had some broken parts or there could be a bigger wardrobe or equivalent to put our clothes away when starting for a few days

The room was really clean, there were plenty of pillows on the bed. There was a smart TV, and my room had a view over the water and jetty. The kitchen had a coffee plunger and a jar of ground beans available, as well as the usual satchels of coffee and tea. That was a nice touch. The motel is just 50 mtrs from the jetty and harbour. There is a small playground for kids and plenty of foreshore walk paths. My upstairs room had two chairs and a table out on the verandah athat overlooked the foreshore. That would make for an enjoyable afternoon relax-with-a drink time.

When entering the room, when I turned on the main room light the smoke detector went off screaming. I had to keep the room light off and re-set the smoke detector. It was hard-wired, so I suspect there is a wiring problem. This was quite disturbing though and should be addressed by management. There was no food option at all. No breakfast and just four biscuits in the kitchen area. You have to wait until the local “Fish & Chips” shop is open to get anything to eat. I felt the room was priced for a holiday resort, but it is still a country motel - and quite expensive.

Room and bathroom were very small. I have paid much less and stayed in 4 star and a bigger room and bathroom. This was 3 star. There was no staff available during the day as well. Not at all. We ran out of toilet tissue and I rang the office bell during the day but nobody answered.

No staff at all. Picked the keys from the key box and put it back there only.

Great position and the room was bright, neat and clean.

Stayed 2 days but towels. soap etc not renewed. We were told that because it was a weekend, room servicing was only carried out on request not as a usual thing. The problem was readily fixed but given the cost of the room I thought this would be a given considering our experience in the many other motels we use.

Excellent location looking straght over the jetty to the water. Big comfortable room with tables, space, lounge chairs. Seating and table allowing outdoor meals. Mostly renovated internal fittings. There were no places open for dinner in the immediate vicinity but the take-away from the Chinese Restaurant at the Bowling Club was excellent.

The metal railing up the external stairs runs straight into the underside of the concrete edge of the upper level and I managed to cut my hand on this. The junction needs to be protected. A visitor expects the railing to continue.

A small family managed motel that was clean, well equipped and maintained in a great location. Across the road from the river, a lovely public swimming pool and next door to a great cafe serving delicious breakfast and sumptuous seafood at lunch! A short walk to an IGA and the local hotel with a good bistro and yummy takeaway pizza.
