Loved location, transport was great for local and CBD Bed comfy and happy with bathroom facilities, kitchen great and staff friendly and kept everywhere super clean and tidy . Would definitely consider again when visiting my son
Bedroom smaller than pictures perceived, l was in front bedroom with balcony (13) As l don't have WiFi while traveling, l didn't receive email for check-in procedures (not sent until 2pm) luckily someone arriving same time and assisted. Same happened to another guest while I was there so l helped them Just a heads up: you can access WiFi on the doorstep (Dalziel lodge), no password required so will assist with check in if required

The beds at Dalziel are super comfortable. I've stayed 3 times now and the beds are always terrific. The rooms and common areas (kitchen, outdoor area, dining area) are always clean and neat. Check-in is flexible and easy. Luggage can be left before check-in if the front door is open and can be left after check-out. (Arrangements can be made for just a front door pass). Access to public transport and essentials is fabulous! For a supposedly 2-star accommodation, everything is really good! I think Dalziel could easily qualify as a 3-star establishment.
Unfortunately, the bathrooms (I can only speak for female bathrooms) still require some attention. (Leaking shower cubicle upstairs to outer bathroom floor and dusty air vents). The water force/temperature is great though and plenty of room in the cubicles.

I recently stayed at Dalziel Lodge for a business trip. Located in the quiet backstreets of North Sydney, this is a heritage lodging with comfortable rooms, excellent amenities and really well positioned. Expect your room to be cosy, quiet, comfortable and safe. Shared shower / toilet amenities. A well appointed shared kitchen and dining hall. A short walk to the new Metro Station at Victoria Cross. A pub very near by. Cafe Vento just a block away. Ramen, Korean, Vietnamese eateries near by. A short walk to Woolworths, Aldi. And for me just a short walk to Crows Nest where I had to be for work. I like this location heaps better than the overcrowded, noisy and busy Sydney CBD. This is exceptional value for accommodation.

Clean, well looked after, pleasant fragrances, room on the ground floor for a family with small kids is easily accessible without having to worry about them falling down the stairs, toilets and showers are always available, breakfast and all necessary cutlery is there all the time, everything is done welcoming for guests and with the high attention to details to make the stay comfortable
maybe some darker coloured drapes for the room on the 1st floor would make us less worried about the visibility through the cracks in the rolling curtains, it's just more of a suggestion, there was honestly no disadvantages in that hotel that we noticed on the 1 night that we were there

Very convenient to eateries, transport. Garden studio well set up & stocked for breakfast preparation. Very comfortable & clean, renovated. Handy having the extra single bed/sofa as well as the double bed. Lots of pillows. Kitchenette has sink, bar fridge, microwave & portable hotplate, but you can also use main kitchen if needed. Access to the garden studio is through the main house, so you also have access to extra toilets if your ensuite is in use.
All was very good. Only slight negative was the lack of a handtowel & hook beside ensuite sink to hang one. Also there was no shelf in shower for own soap & shower bottles, though shampoo & conditioner were supplied on the wall.

Sufficient pots, oil, butter, salt, sugar, pepper, honey and breakfast foods. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and toilets are clean. Nice common dining area. Well kept kitchen. Nice outdoor backyard with seating area and small tables. Coin operated washing machine. They have a system whereby guest who arrive late can call them on the phone near the door for instructions.. So all in all a lovely place.

Very well placed. Very handy to buses& rail. Lots of cafes very close. Supermarket 12mins walk away. All clean & well stocked when we arrived. You have to ask for 2nd passkey if you need two. Theres a $30 fee if you lose them, according to the compendium in our room. Was supposed to get email of passcode for contactless checkin b4 2pm on day of arrival, but never came & only got voicemail when I phoned at 1:55. Turned up at door at 2:15 & reception (which is only manned till 3pm daily) gave us our key as though this is the usual procedure (ie just turn up). In order to get to garden studio, you go through the house & out the back. This is very handy as we were able to use the toilet there when our studio ensuite was occupied. You are also allowed to use the the communal kitchen if your kitchenette doesn't have what you need to cook for a meal. There is also a coin operated drink/snack machine in the communal laundry. In the garden studio, both the double bed & single sofa bed were comfortable. There were only 2 plastic stools & a side table in the studio, but it was easy to step outside our door & use the tables & chairs in communal covered courtyard. Kitchenette well stocked with lots of teas& coffee bags, peanut butter/honey/vegemite individual serve packets. MW,sink & portable hotplate. (Can use oven in main kitchen if needed). Plates, cutlery, sharp knives, frypans, glasses. Teatowel, plastic wrap, papertowels. No place to leave dishes to dry, unless you use the stock of wettex to lay first. May have found a tray in main kitchen, but I didn't look. Bar fridge was stocked with carton of milk, container of white bread, tub of vegan margarine. Lcd tv on wall near double bed. Full length mirror in studio. Newly renovated bathroom. And the toilets in main house also renovated. Ensuite small but adequate with glassed shower, free standing porcelain sink with shelf& mirror above.

Very comfortable bed, clean and tidy. Check in is very easy as you're sent a code to collect your key - no passport checks! I like the communal spaces and the use of the kitchen and laundry facilities. It feels homely, and it's in a quiet spot. It's not too far from a few different bus routes and Victoria Cross station. I've stayed here 3 times now and will happily stay again.
Checkout time is 10am, but the past couple of times the staff have knocked on my door 2 mins before checkout time (usually when I'm rushing to get packed and dressed!). It feels a little strict. The upstairs toilets are very tight on space, and so are the downstairs showers...

Love the location, relaxed feel and facilities (kitchen, dining area and outside area) of Dalziel. I met some really interesting people during my stay, so there was a social aspect too. Everywhere was spotless and the other guests respected this and kept kitchen and bathrooms clean and tidy. The beds at Dalziel are really comfortable and the linen and towels are quality standard. The bedrooms are quiet. The airconditioning works well in the bedrooms. The showers are always hot with good pressure
The upstairs women toilet stalls are so small it is hard to actually get in there! The first time I booked I did not receive an email with check in instructions whcih made it hard at 11pm on arrival

I was pleasantly surprised. We travelled via metro, which was very convenient. Needed to be at Central Station prior to 7:30am and having the metro down the road was handy and efficient. The accommodation was quite nice, I liked that the kitchen was available prior to 7am and was able to have a warm beverage in the morning.
Personally would have preferred an ensuite, however was not a huge issue and other guests were not seen often near communal areas. Therefore was not of concern on day/ night of accommodation (if anything other guests were very nice).
