Grand entrance and free wifi. Good location for what I wanted. Lovely room size - storage in cupboards, fridge, in-room safe, comfortable chairs. The bathroom had a door that was split and opened outwards (presumably making use of the small entry) but lots of basin space and a large shower with lovely amenities. Didn't bother with the mini bar/snacks available. Only stayed for one night so didn't make use of any other hotel facilities. Plenty of lighting (overhead and lamps) and power points - excellent as I find many rooms are dim/have little practical light options.

Be careful arriving at the main entrance - the doors automatically open outwards and I was almost clobbered twice. Check in a bit clunky if you don't do the pre-check in (I didn't want to submit my ID through an online portal) - had to wait for someone to assist with the check in screens, then had to queue to see someone at guest relations to organise payment, then had to queue for paper receipt for payment at the end of the stay. The shower glass door didn't close properly so water tended to drip outwards and onto the floor.

I stayed at this hotel for only two days for the New Year’s celebration, as the hotel I had been staying at before had an unreasonably high price for that period. I was very pleased with the rate for New Year's Eve—it was great value for money. The hotel is comfortable, and the room had everything I needed. Yes, the space was quite small—the room itself, the bathroom, everything was very compact. However, it was well-equipped, fresh, modern, and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable, and I felt cozy throughout my stay. The air conditioning had a heating function, which was very useful on chilly nights. A special thanks for the complimentary bottle of champagne. I don’t drink, but it was still a nice touch. The staff was exceptionally polite. When I asked the housekeeping staff for fresh towels, they were very accommodating. The receptionist was welcoming and professional. Even the valet and entrance staff were incredibly kind when I needed assistance finding a taxi. My overall impression of the staff was excellent, which, in my experience, is not always the case in hotels.

Still, if given the choice, I would prefer not to stay at this hotel again—it simply felt too cramped for me. It’s a good option for a short stay, but honestly, I can’t imagine how two people could comfortably stay in this room. Even for just one person, it felt tight. Another downside was the view—windows facing directly into other windows, which made the space feel even more enclosed. Personally, I found this a bit uncomfortable. Lastly, a month after I checked out, I noticed some strange small charges from this hotel on my balance account. They weren’t large amounts, but it was still concerning. I don’t think this should be happening.

We've just returned from a 3 night stay at the Wentie. Our stay was fabulous. We were given the option to use the self check-in or traditional check-in. Our room was ready at 11.00am, and the room had twin beds, which we requested. Concierge and Reception staff were amazing. Our room was very comfortable with the most amazing beds. Breakfast was fabulous with an excellent variety. Barista coffee was included in the breakfast rate. Breakfast was very busy each morning, but the staff handled this effortlessly. I loved the Wentworth Bar on the 5th floor. Such a beautiful area to relax and have a wine or two pre theatre or dinner. Sofitel Wentworth has just become our favourite hotel in Sydney. We will be back.

Location perfect for the Opera House and activities around CBD and Botanical Gardens. Rooms have been beautifully renovated. Majority of the staff I met were very helpful. Room service food quality was exceptional Some extra lovely touches such as chocolates and wine in the room

I understand most travellers likely not driving - but for those like me..It would be helpful to explain clearly the parking costs. Parking is very convenient, quote given for one night ….. but as I arrived in Sydney before check in , and left Sydney a lunch .. my “ one night” ended up being extraordinarily expensive.MORE than the equivalent of Two nights . A nasty feeling at the end of a superb stay

Clean, freshly renovated with a luxe ambience. The hotel has been recently renovated and was perfect for a weekend trip away. The bed was so comfortable and felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The service was incredible and we were greeted with a bottle of wine and French sweets on arrival in our room. The new restaurant and bar was 10/10. Definitely want to go back to enjoy the rest of the menu.

Check in is not until 3pm which felt just a tad late for interstate travellers. Unfortunately the gym was being renovated at the time which I wish we had known ahead of time.

Location and upgraded dining and bars

Self check in. It depersonalised the welcome experience. The terminal said my room wasn’t available (at 3.30pm) and to see guest relations which I did. The check in process was smooth with the staff on the welcome desk. Did not like the self check in at all. For a 5 star hotel this is disappointing. Guests who pay a lot of money expect a more personalised service. Self check in is a missed opportunity to give guests a great experience and connect them to the city and hotel facilities and services. Reception area was also very noisy.

Excellent service from every staff member. Location is fabulous and the restaurant (Delta Rue) was wonderful for a tired traveller who just wanted to dine in.

Unfortunately, there was really loud "doof doof" music playing until at least 3am (Sunday morning) on the Saturday night of my stay which made it very difficult to sleep. I was on the 7th floor and could hear it clearly. I realise it's not from the hotel, but perhaps some additional sound proofing is required?

Good location, very quiet rooms. Walking distance to harbour and mid City. Very nice roof top bar with good food. Very helpful staff and Lovely baguettes. Beds are comfy, and rooms are clean. Love the bath sheets, large and fluffy. A shower cap would have been helpful, but not in room, and door entry width is a little small when coming in with bags to the standard king bed room, which are a small room size - but work for a quick 1 or 2 day stay.

Loved location, attentive staff, room spacious enough for 2 and clean.

Bed was fine, just a little softer than what we're used to, so body was drooping a little, so a little bit of a sore back the next day. A little noisy from our room from the 10th floor until the early hours of the morning from music down the bottom outside, but was fine when got to sleep. Also, as soon as head hit ALL pillows and air expelled from it, there was a lingering dank smell- probably from inside not being dried sufficiently.

Great hotel in a central location just a few minutes walk from Circular Quay. The Concierge and desk staff were exceptional, helpful, knowledgeable and very professional. The rooms were comfortable, very clean, air conditioned with a small fridge and bar, TV and good lighting. The bed was comfortable and the linen very good quality. Breakfast was very comprehensive, a good choice, buffet with the option to order bespoke dishes if required. No problems even when crowded.

We didn't use the restaurant or bar, as usual for Hotels the prices were 30% above average for the area and when you are a short walk from a huge choice they didn't stand a chance. Almost none of the staff had English as a first language which did mean a couple of orders at breakfast were misunderstood.
