July 2025
I needed a hotel in Sydney's South to attend an event and the Travelodge proved a great choice. It's minutes from the train station where a train gets you to the city in about 25 minutes. Parking was affordably priced at $20 a night (usually $50 plus in the cbd) and there was off street parking in surrounding streets if you wanted to save money. Hurstville is home to some fantastic Asian eats and the Westfield centre across the road made a bargain priced breakfast easy to find The room was large, comfortable, spotlessly clean and we were very happy with our 2 night stay. I would most definately return when in the area again.
Nothing - everything was good.

The reception staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. I needed to print out a letter and they were able to assist. The letter needed to be printed several times due to spelling errors that were not noticed at draft level and they were very accommodating each time I returned to reception for a reprint. I would especially like to mention the two gentlemen that were working that night / day, they went over and above what I expected. Both were very friendly and helpful, it is unfortunate that I didn't get there names and I'm not able to specifically give them both a personal recommendation. They both deserve a special mention.
The only problem I encountered was not having a milk frother in the room for the coffee machine, although admittedly, I never asked reception if one was available. If one was available upon request, my suggestion would be to place a note on the coffee machine stating this.

Location was handy for us, we were picking up at the airport at 6am and it was smooth sailing. There’s a huge Westfield across the road and a Sushi train and club that looked busy with happy vibes. They have fair priced parking at $20 a night, very clean with friendly, helpful staff.
Bit confusing If you park on level B01 and get the lift up. Couldn’t find the entry and asked in the club, they sent us through the gaming area to the restaurant to use that lift. More signage at the lift from B01 and how to get to the entry would be helpful. Park on B02 or lower to access Travelodge

Didn’t have breakfast. The room was absolutely great, beds were great although my sister felt hers was a little firm. The staff were very helpful and always had a smile. The lift system was so amazing and very user friendly. The whole place was fresh and appealing. We were very impressed. Travelodge was also right next to Westfield, 2 mins walk to Hurstville station and the bus. We were there to visit our brother who was at St George Hospital Kogarah a very quick trip from the Travelodge.
There were no issues for us, we were very happy.

Very comfortable room with a great bathroom - really enjoyed the rain shower. Pressure and temperature were both really good. Nice huge mirror and adequate lighting in the bathroom too. The bed was comfortable and spacious. The location although a little far from the CBD, had a Westfield mall just across the road so very handy indeed. The hotel is also only a few minutes walk to the train station and about 30mins by train to the city. Airport is just a 20 minute or so drive away. The parking was $20 a night but in a safe carpark, so it was worth it. Staff at reception were all very friendly. All in all a great stay.
Overall it was clean but the details would've made it better: The kettle had obviously not been cleaned in a long time, if ever. It was covered with dust and the spout had caked on yellow grime of some sort. The cups, etc also did not look very clean. The carpet could've done with a more thorough vacuum. The people in the unit next door had an annoying habit of talking loudly early in the morning - not the hotel's fault, but a shame that it was so audible. The lighting was a little weird, it was pitch black when we opened the door and you had to walk quite a way in to activate the sensor - not the most welcoming feeling but once you get used to it's no biggie. There was no lighting above the little coffee table which made packing at nighttime a bit inconvenient.

The location being next to Westfield and Hurstville station was perfect. Room was surprisingly modern and very comfortable.
Lacking signage into parking. I drove into the underground car park and without any obvious signage, parked on B1 and took the lifts where I ended up in a completely different building and could not return to the car park via the lift as you needed a swipe. Had to go out and find the entrance to the hotel and staff were very polite and professional to explain the confusing arrangement of the car park where you had to park on B2 or B3.

This is my 4th time coming to the Lodge. I'm always happy with the front desk staff and service. They're very clean with a polite and friendly cleaner. She was working very hard on her job, she should get a raise.I stayed an extra night, it was comfortable with the soft plush pillows and music that you can choose to listen to or watch the TV. I do love their spacious shawors, which also supplied the bottlepumps shampoo, conditioner, bodywash. Thank you again, and see you definitely again
Nothing, to me, everything was perfect.

I was not well prior to staying at the hotel , picked up a stomach bug on the flight over to Sydney. I became very ill from Food poisoning on the plane unfortunately ended up in Hospital and the manager at the hotel did everything to make sure we were looked after. They were absolutely wonderful. They allowed us to stay longer in the hotel and arranged everything for us to be comfortable until I got better Thank You so much from the bottom of my heart Patricia Green from Perth WA
Nothing The staff were obliging and very helpful and no complaints only praise

I find this accommodation very comfortable, I have had a variety of rooms and particularly enjoyed the larger rooms, as I might spend time on my own and that gives me room to move around, and relax. The bathroom still in good condition since the renovations are newish.
I think for the price it is possibly the best place to stay locally, I noticed that another place was above a pub, that didn't feel as nice to walk into, plus, the Staff seem helpful. Unfortunately, the parking costs make it hard to take the car, but, I respect that it is a city and cars cost more to garage. I left my car with my family, so I didn't have that added expense. The train is excellent into the city, so that too is a bonus, and the shops are all near.
