Being close to the airport. Right across the street from the international airport, no need for a taxi, crosswalks to get across the street, food was good, beds were comfortable.

We were on the first floor, and we could not get an elevator in the morning with multiple suitcases. Every time one opened it was full. Ended up having to make multiple trips with stairs to get our bag down. Elevators are slow even when there is not a lot of traffic. When checking out, we did the self check out and then the machine wouldn't take our room key cards, staff were too busy and couldn't get anyone's attention, just left them next to the machines and walked off, as we didn't have time to sit around and wait.

Can’t beat location. Easy walk to international terminal. Downstairs bistro was surprisingly quite good (ate breakfast and dinner here) Better choice to eat here than go over to terminal 1. We also ate here instead of buffet breakfast. It is quite a bit of a hassle to get to/go from domestic terminal. However If flying Qantas domestic 1 , don’t need to go to domestic terminal, but check in (across the road - even though international terminal) - and Qantas bus drives you over the runways to get to domestic (unlike airport transfer buses which aren’t that regular) but can’t use this option going from domestic terminal to Rydges. No problems about plane noise although hear other guests leaving for early morning flight. Gym decent size. Room decent size.

Upstairs bar a bit too small. No pool. Well equipped room except no moisturiser provided which is unusual for this type of hotel. Reception were not able to explain where domestic bus transfer stop was (it is not ‘just up the road near the first pedestrian crossing’ but a fair walk on other side of international terminal. Fortunately the driver dropped us all in front of the Rydges which is not the proper bus stop.

Location is the main reason why I chose this hotel. If you're travelling overseas, it offers a best location because you can just walk to the terminal. In terms of facilities, the second best part is the room setting that allows you to bring your trolley in. The toilet was separated, so it was very convenient too. The overall room was very clean for a 'transit' hotel.

The staff was not that friendly, especially during busy hours. It's understandably, but I'm sure there's basic rules for minimum hospitality. The online check in also didn't work for me because my card didn't work and I eventually had to deal with the front staff who looked like they reached the end of the day.

I booked with Booking.com and the TOTAL advertised price was $209. That is the price that came up on your Eftpos machine, but then a SURCHARGE was added, which increased the price, with no explanation whatsoever. Also after I checked out, I received a garbled "receipt" with a link, which looked very dodgey. Also before I arrived I received an email from Rydges that said, under no circumstances click on a link that asks for payment details, and this was immediately followed by an email purporting to be from Rydges, asking exactly asking me to click on a link and enter payment details. This experience with Rydges is very suspicious and I shall be advising Booking.com

Fresh veggie juice if your choice at buffet breakfast, great location, comfy, easy stay over at airport, quiet, clean, tea in room, fridge in room, great gym with spinning bike. Staff friendly. Check in easy. Would be great to have 12pm check out (instead of 11am)

Amazing they had options of different pillows! The original pillows too high, memory foam pillow was too high. There is a feather pillow which I didn’t try. Website instructions to access hotel is cryptic. Hotel is at International Airport, Terminal One. Get to Arrival Hall B and walk out the doors and look to the right. You’ll see the big red sign above the Rydges Hotel

Loved the location for early departure time. The room was really clean and there was a good selectionin the fridge

I booked and paid in full 6 weeks prior to my trip. When we arrived, there was no record of payment. In spite of me showing the staff the receipt on my Visa statement via my ph. I had my very tired special needs sister with me, so I paid again. I went down to the counter in the morning and showed the staff the printout confirming my payments. The gentleman on the counter was very helpful and I was refunded. It was stressful but issue resolved. That would be my only complaint.

Perfect hotel for an early flight out of Sydney. Easy walk straight into the departures lounge. Parking in the P7 carpark adjacent. Arrived late but still able to get a bite and a drink at the ground floor bistro which was great. I recommend this for early flights - makes for a relaxing and efficient start to your trip and is worth the extra dollars for the convenience.

Once you park in P7 carpark the route to the hotel is not entirely clear - you know it is close but you may have to navigate through a few odd area's around the car parks in order to enter the hotel.

The moment i arrived, everything was a breeze! I was a tad early so I asked the Front Desk officer to put my luggages for safekeeping. Then, I checked on Sydney Int'l airport's Departure area and lo and behold, it took me only 9 minutes to walk from the hotel. After which, I asked for an Early Check-in and the fee for 3 hours wasn't much a splurge so I did. My room was nice, posh and chic to be exact!!! All the bathroom amenities are there, bathrobes, and the mini-bar is complete! Also, there are 2 bottles of free water!!!(Water is very important to me as soon as I check-in into hotels. Then, I'm loving ALL the lights!!!!!! Every corner of the room is provided with lights, reading lamp, and especially the mirrors in which putting makeup is a breeze!!! I love it that the mirrors are above the mij8-bar and above the sink PLUS the Full body mirror in the bathroom is LOVE!!!!! Pillow, you may choose to use the Soft and the Hard.

I miss the hotel slippers but this isn't much as big of a deal for it's just an overnight.

Our stay was very short as we had to get up after just a few hours' sleep to catch a flight to Dubai, but a great place to stay. The location is obviously the huge bonus, it couldn't be any better. This saved us time and money on a taxi plus the extra sleep before the flight. The room was completely fine and the hotel quiet and clean. Toiletries provided in the room plus basic tea and coffee making facilities. The toilet and shower were separate which is handy when travelling as a couple. When we first arrived I thought I could smell a faint odour of jet fuel coming through the air conditioning system, but it didn't turn out to be a problem and couldn't smell it constantly.

Not many options in terms of food because of the location - you are limited to either the hotel's restaurant/bistro or McDonald's just inside the terminal, but no problem just for one night.

Perfect location when using the international terminal. Literally across the road. I expected it to be noisy considering the location but it wasn't. Easy to get to from both the international and domestic terminals. Beds were very comfy. Rooms were clean. Restaurant and bar were lovely - if not a bit overpriced, but it is expected with the convenient location. Will stay again :)

Expensive compared to others in the area that call themselves airport accommodation, but the convenience of being literally across the road from the international terminal is worth it.
