Ideal location for an overnight stay between flights. Layout of the room is perfect for two persons sharing a room. Toilet, shower, and sink are separated, extra mirror on the backside of the sink, and two chairs. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Only a few minor things. A fair rate might be one that is a little lower, you have to call room service to get ice, mini-bar in room (a concept abandoned be most properties years ago) instead of a convivence store, and only one hand towel.

Location, quiet floor, safe

On the bed was breakfast menu but no apparent room service menu. I eventually went down to check in reception to ask about a menu and was directed to screen. Rang three times as directed by on screen menu and by reception. Finally got through to kitchen and was directed to order through a code. Whole process took nearly an hour and for several reasons I hadn’t had lunch. If this is the ONLY way to order, put that on screen and in a note on the bed. Last stay the kitchen wouldn’t answer at all and the reception staff member personally went to the kitchen to order and deliver my meal!

Being close to the airport. Right across the street from the international airport, no need for a taxi, crosswalks to get across the street, food was good, beds were comfortable.

We were on the first floor, and we could not get an elevator in the morning with multiple suitcases. Every time one opened it was full. Ended up having to make multiple trips with stairs to get our bag down. Elevators are slow even when there is not a lot of traffic. When checking out, we did the self check out and then the machine wouldn't take our room key cards, staff were too busy and couldn't get anyone's attention, just left them next to the machines and walked off, as we didn't have time to sit around and wait.

Rydges Sydney Airport Hotel was perfectly located just across from the international terminal—ideal for catching our flight back to Europe. Check-in was smooth, and the staff member at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful. When I asked for a late check-out, he was happy to accommodate us without any hassle or extra charge. The breakfast buffet was a real highlight, offering a wide variety of options. Gluten-free and dairy-free items were clearly labeled, and there were healthy choices available, including pre-chopped fruits and vegetables for making your own juice. A convenient, comfortable, and well-run hotel—highly recommended for anyone flying out of Sydney.

Nothing really

This hotel is extremely convenient for a one night stay if you land at the airport late or are leaving early in the morning. It is mere steps from the International Terminal and the train station associated with it. There is more casual dining available in Smithy's Bar or a 2/3 course meal in the Ascot restaurant. I recommend a drink in the lounge/bar upstairs as well, as it has an excellent view of the runways. The room was pretty standard with a well-stocked mini-bar. Room service is available. The staff were very friendly and I enjoyed a comfortable night.

I ate in the Bar, if I was to go back a second time, I would probably opt for the Ascot. The food was okay at Smithy's but it was very busy and I had to wait for a table. This is nothing against the hotel but just to note if you are taking the train to or from the airport there is an airport access fee on top of the regular fare, so the train from the Central Train Station cost over AUS$20. I think that there is a weekly cap so you wouldn't necessarily have to pay it more than twice but it is something to bear in mind if you are planning to use this hotel as a base to explore Sydney.

Can’t beat location. Easy walk to international terminal. Downstairs bistro was surprisingly quite good (ate breakfast and dinner here) Better choice to eat here than go over to terminal 1. We also ate here instead of buffet breakfast. It is quite a bit of a hassle to get to/go from domestic terminal. However If flying Qantas domestic 1 , don’t need to go to domestic terminal, but check in (across the road - even though international terminal) - and Qantas bus drives you over the runways to get to domestic (unlike airport transfer buses which aren’t that regular) but can’t use this option going from domestic terminal to Rydges. No problems about plane noise although hear other guests leaving for early morning flight. Gym decent size. Room decent size.

Upstairs bar a bit too small. No pool. Well equipped room except no moisturiser provided which is unusual for this type of hotel. Reception were not able to explain where domestic bus transfer stop was (it is not ‘just up the road near the first pedestrian crossing’ but a fair walk on other side of international terminal. Fortunately the driver dropped us all in front of the Rydges which is not the proper bus stop.

Super easy to get to after arriving back from overseas. Online check in meant that all I needed to do was scan my QR code at the kiosk and we had our room key and all the relevant info. Quiet, clean and comfortable.

Family rooms only seem to have a view of the car park, a airport view would’ve been cool, but not essential. A bit tight to get luggage in and out of when travelling with multiple big bags. No screen on the shower which meant water was outside of the shower base when finished. Only 3 beds also, which meant someone had to share as a family of 5.

Fresh veggie juice if your choice at buffet breakfast, great location, comfy, easy stay over at airport, quiet, clean, tea in room, fridge in room, great gym with spinning bike. Staff friendly. Check in easy. Would be great to have 12pm check out (instead of 11am)

Amazing they had options of different pillows! The original pillows too high, memory foam pillow was too high. There is a feather pillow which I didn’t try. Website instructions to access hotel is cryptic. Hotel is at International Airport, Terminal One. Get to Arrival Hall B and walk out the doors and look to the right. You’ll see the big red sign above the Rydges Hotel

Location is the main reason why I chose this hotel. If you're travelling overseas, it offers a best location because you can just walk to the terminal. In terms of facilities, the second best part is the room setting that allows you to bring your trolley in. The toilet was separated, so it was very convenient too. The overall room was very clean for a 'transit' hotel.

The staff was not that friendly, especially during busy hours. It's understandably, but I'm sure there's basic rules for minimum hospitality. The online check in also didn't work for me because my card didn't work and I eventually had to deal with the front staff who looked like they reached the end of the day.
