Our flight was cancelled from Sydney when we were sitting on the plane . I made the booking whilst waiting for BA to arrange accommodation for us. Booked, jumped in Uber and was at the hotel within 20 minutes. Check in was smooth and professional. The staff very kindly provided toiletries. We were peckish so ate at the restaurant. We ended up sharing some starter dishes as they didn't have 'light options ' on the menu. (Sandwiches etc..) Service was quick and food was OK. Breakfast in the morning was lovely! I would definitely stay here again .

Wasn't there long enough for anything to crop up.

the room was very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable, linen nice and crisp and the pillows were excellent. The shower had lots of hot water. Can't comment on the restaurant or other facilities as we arrived late and left early. We walked to the domestic terminal and it took about 15-20 mins. Suggest you get a taxi or the shuttle. The room price was very reasonable

Proximity to Airport

As they are so close to the airport they should allow for early or 24 hrs check ins. Our flight arrived at 5am and had to pay a lot to get access to our room earlier.

Staff on the ground and around were lovely and obliging when asked for help. Room was clean, spacious, comfortable and everything worked great. Parking was easy and within same building.

Check in staff. No smiles. Didn’t feel friendly or approachable when checking in. Even reproached me rudely for being sent to him as the first check in had troubles. When checking out a lady named Agostine saw me standing waiting didnt acknowledge me, but instantly helped a gentleman who turned up well after me. Eventually serviced my check out, no smiles back, no politeness. Barely a word. Check in staff need courteous customer service training or find less customer facing positions. I’ve stayed at many hotel and this was miserable, almost comical. I was all smiles and politeness. Counter wasn’t even busy so it can’t be stress.. ?

Very close to the domestic airport. Clean and good room size. The room we stayed was comfortable. It’s surprisingly quiet considering its location near the airport. However, you’ll hear people chatting away if they are in the corridor. The bar and grill restaurant was great for both family, couples and individuals - especial shout out to the restaurant floor manager, who was wonderful and very personable.

I think only the staff at the hotel reception can be more friendly, it will make the whole experience almost 10/10.

The location was within walking distance from the airport making it convenient after a long flight

My husband stayed over night while travelling for business at the Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport Hotel which exceeded our expectations due entirely to their staff. He lost his wallet and they went out of their way to assist with checking in, securing funds and making the stay as stress free considering the situation. A credit to the company and brand. All the usual high standards for a business traveller - big room, secure, big comfortable bed, great Wi-Fi, great cleanliness. Food and drink (burger and wine) spot on. The shuttle to domestic and international was ok ( good there is one, you have to pay, only every 40mins). He will definitely stay again.

I needed an early stay since I had a flight the next day. I made a rushed booking since I didn't expect to be 10 hours early for my flight, so I ordered a room in this hotel. It was above and beyond cheap for a short sleep and then flying to my next destination. What surprised me and helped me most was the shuttle bus service which takes you directly to the terminals of your choice. Very helpful if you have a large family. (In my case, it was just me.) Regardless, it saved me a kilometre walk with luggage through an airport I've never navigated before.

Only complaints I really had was the hard mattress bedding and the lack of charging ports by the beds. As for the beds, it took a while to acclimate to it, but eventually I found myself asleep for a good 7 hours. I had charging ports for my devices at the far end of the bed which didn't help if I wanted to have my phone by my side. Regardless, I had a smartwatch to awaken me.

The bed was super comfortable, (one of the most comfortable beds I’ve had) and the room was very quiet (we could hear the neighbours occasionally & some bathroom plumbing noise but none from outside). Wish we had more time to enjoy the space. We didn’t have time for breakfast (arrived from o/s and were continuing our journey next day) and we didn’t order room service for breakfast as we felt it was much too expensive ($18 for a bowl of cereal!). If it had been reasonable we would have ordered cereal or a yoghurt.

The bathroom ventilation needs to be addressed. Keeping the door closed for a shower is fine (signs said if we didn’t it might set off the fire alarm) but the bathroom steamed up severely, so much so that once there were 2 showers it was impossible to use the mirror to see to dry hair or apply makeup. Some bathrobes would be a nice addition. And a coffee machine (capsule) rather than instant sachets

The room is comfortable, and the A/C system is working well. We stayed for five nights, and the plane noise did not bother us at all; we heard more noise from the next room than from the planes. It is a five-minute walk to the bus stop and a fifteen-minute walk to Mascot train station. It is a lot cheaper to get off at Mascot station and then catch an Uber or bus rather than at the domestic airport. The grilled chicken, salmon, and steak from the restaurant downstairs were delicious and reasonably priced.

The room could be cleaner; the skirting board was dusty, and the TV frame had a spiderweb. We also found children's swimwear behind the curtain. On our last day, we came down in the lift. Once we reached the ground floor, there was an "out of order" sign outside; I had to move the sign, but thankfully there was no issue with the lift itself. There was no coffee machine in the room.
