Staff on the ground and around were lovely and obliging when asked for help. Room was clean, spacious, comfortable and everything worked great. Parking was easy and within same building.

Check in staff. No smiles. Didn’t feel friendly or approachable when checking in. Even reproached me rudely for being sent to him as the first check in had troubles. When checking out a lady named Agostine saw me standing waiting didnt acknowledge me, but instantly helped a gentleman who turned up well after me. Eventually serviced my check out, no smiles back, no politeness. Barely a word. Check in staff need courteous customer service training or find less customer facing positions. I’ve stayed at many hotel and this was miserable, almost comical. I was all smiles and politeness. Counter wasn’t even busy so it can’t be stress.. ?

The room is comfortable, and the A/C system is working well. We stayed for five nights, and the plane noise did not bother us at all; we heard more noise from the next room than from the planes. It is a five-minute walk to the bus stop and a fifteen-minute walk to Mascot train station. It is a lot cheaper to get off at Mascot station and then catch an Uber or bus rather than at the domestic airport. The grilled chicken, salmon, and steak from the restaurant downstairs were delicious and reasonably priced.

The room could be cleaner; the skirting board was dusty, and the TV frame had a spiderweb. We also found children's swimwear behind the curtain. On our last day, we came down in the lift. Once we reached the ground floor, there was an "out of order" sign outside; I had to move the sign, but thankfully there was no issue with the lift itself. There was no coffee machine in the room.

The room was spacious and had a view of the airport, however there was no airport or road noise. Plenty of parking spaces available. Reception staff were very pleasant. Room had a mini bar, plus there were bar and restaurant facilities on the ground floor. The bathroom had a large tub to relax in and plenty of hot water. The bed was large, cozy and warm, offering a great sleep.

Being 5 star I was hoping for someone to assist with luggage at the front door while I parked the car. Laying in the bath, there was a considerable amount of mould under the glass screen, which would only be visible from this position, so difficult for cleaners to see. But it gave me the ‘icks’.

Staff were amazing and very helpful. Parking was excellent although you will pay for it which I didn't realise till I got the bill. Room was immaculate and it was good to have a view of the airport to talk to the kids about as they were travelling over seas in the early morning. 24 hour staff. Breakfast buffet was excellent with options for everyone.

The restaurant was a great atmosphere and the staff were exceptionally helpful. Service for basics such as drinks took a while for unknown reasons. The restaurant was not busy when we were there. The food options were limited to two dishes for vegetarian. The boys had fish and chips and they was served with a full plate including salad. They had a kids menu too which was great.

We stayed at the hotel for three days. The staff were very kind and supportive, and the room was clean and neat. However, the checklist for room amenities was not properly maintained, so this needs to be checked before the guest arrives. We also had to request the staff for small items that should have been provided. On the first day, we found only one bottle of drinking water in the room. Usually, other properties offer one complimentary bottle of water every day, but it seems this hotel follows a different policy. The breakfast was amazing, though we would suggest adding more variety to the menu. The card machine was very outdated, and the payment process took a long time, which needs immediate attention. Dinner was excellent, with superb menu options. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would love to stay at this hotel again in the future. Lastly, the lift and swimming pool were horrible, which was quite disappointing.

The fact my daughter and I tried to contact the Stamford for 8 hrs! With no one answering our messages or calls due to expensive jewellery being left in the room. No one! Answered with the four options given we tried everyone and no one answered! And no one returned our urgent plea messages!!!! My daughter finally sent a message through a text forum, and luckily they responded to that. Her ring was found, but absolutely disgusted none of our calls got through. Really poor form and so unprofessional. She was upset re her jewellery and we could not get through. For that reason I would not recommend or stay there again. Sorry not sorry

Finally! A real hotel like they used to be! A hotel where the staff is welcoming and does everything they can to be helpful. A hotel where the rooms are clean and packed with all that you need, including pool towels. A hotel that offers buffet breakfast filled with a variety of options at a reasonable price. A hotel with a decent size outdoor pool, where you can see the stars and planes flying by. Even the ballroom/conference room space on the second floor is lovely to walk up to and around - the kids loved running around since there was no event taking place. The hotel is a short 20-minute drive to the Sydney harbour, making it a nice place to stay near the airport, quiet, and less expensive than downtown, and still easy to reach downtown. The staff was really lovely, and Esther, at the front desk, and San San, at the restaurant, were an absolute delight!

Our room did not have any balcony or opening window, and we doubt any rooms do. We would have liked that as other hotels sometimes offer that « fresh air » option, but aircon did the trick. Parking is 35$ a day and not included in the room price - a bit surprising given the nightly rate, but this is Sydney. The pool is great - maybe add a few white « Christmas » lights and some other props to give the pool area a cozier ambiance?

Close to airport, spacious room, amenities in the bathroom included and very lovely smelling. Tea and coffee station and mini bar if you want it. Lovely pool available to use. Staff at breakfast were very cheerful and welcoming.

The reception area is very chaotic and has no order of where to stand and who’s next. Found the seats a hindrance rather than a comfort as when you sit you become further away from the staff as you are talking. We’ve stayed 2 times in the last 2 weeks and I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the shower/bath area. The rest of the bathroom great and bedroom great too. When you sit in the bath you can see lots of mould around the sealer and grouting. This line of sight gives a different view. A little bleach and whitening goes a long way visually and will then be pleasing to the eye and add to a guest comfort and relaxation.

I felt that the reception staff could have explained in more detail about how to get to the Mascot Train Station. We were travelling with 2 small children so more information would have been appreciated. Getting a taxi from the airport was infuriating. The first taxi we were directed to, advised that the middle seat belt in the taxi was not working properly, however, if we were ok with it, he would take us. We all got into the taxi with the luggage, then the driver asked us where we were going. When I told him the name of the motel, he said that he could not take us. It was blatantly obvious he changed his mind as it was a short trip. When we got out, and I told the man patrolling the Taxi Rank I was furious. The man patrolling the rank asked me if the driver changed his mind after I told him where we were going. I said "YES" though the driver denied it. Disgusting! I am of the belief that a driver can not refuse a fare because it is only a short distance. I hope the driver was reported. The man patrolling the Taxi Rank was very angry with the driver as well. All in all, I wish we had chosen accommodation closer to Sydney. Bus then train with 2 small children was a real hassle, especially after the taxi issue on arrival.

I I asked the reception desk lady if we could have another 2 towels as there were 4 of us in the room. She said that they would get 2 to our room, but if towels were not available, she would ring us. The towels did not arrive and we did not get the phone call from her.
