We chose the hotel as it was close to the airport and it was easy to get to from the train station. The food at the restaurant was excellent and was an added bonus as we did not need to look anywhere else.

Quite spacious. Comfortable and very clean and convenient for the two of us. Competitively priced against other properties in the area. Served our purpose very well as we were visiting friends in that area.

The bathroom was very crampy with very little room to manouvre around the bathroom without the door getting in the way. Shower was quite weak and had one of those silly rain shower heads which decrease an already weak pressure and waste a large amount of water. The doors and draws around the fridge and table in the main area were all out of adjustment and needed some one to adjust or replace the hinges as they would not shut properly. We did request someone to do this but it never happened in the five days we were there.

A nice hotel with a perfect location in Sydney. Despite there are regular hotel shuttle buses to the airport and public buses as well, if you don't have heavy luggage with you, you can get to the airport by foot within 15-20 minutes. Mascot railway station from where you can easily get to Sydney Central Business District (the downtown) is in about 12 minutes walk from hotel. There are many Asian eateries and take away food outlets in the area. When checking-in hotel charges to the card only AUD 1 as a secure deposit. In other aspects it is a standard business hotel with its standard tidy but pretty small room and comfortable bed. There is a storage room where you can leave your luggage being kept after check-out and go to explore Sydney until you return back to collect the stuff before departure. The hotel personnel is polite and attentive. The noise dampfer system is OK and you practically do not hear sounds of taking off and landing planes.

This hotel is probably the closest to the domestic airport at Sydney, less than 10 minutes by shuttle bus. the room was well set out, well insulated and the curtains blocked the light and noise from outside.

The dining room was like something from a boarding school for delinquents. While it is not the hotel's fault, this was a most unpleasant part of my evening. One other challenge was the return trip to the airport terminal by Space Shuttle service, the hotel advised on two occasions that it was an 'on demand' service ie turn up and they would take you to your terminal, The reality is much different. firstly it depends on which terminal you are going to, it depends if the previous shuttle bus has returned and it depends on when the company wants the coach to leave - regardless of when you flight is departing!

The Duty Manager, Marina was very helpful and responsive to my message request for a quiet room due to late check-in and early departure. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Wished I had more time to sleep in. The free wi-fi was very great to respond to boss’ messages. Oh…and was so happy to see a hairdryer, iron and ironing board!!! The free airport transfer was a super added value. The driver was so kind and polite. I will definitely check in again next trip.

The shower had a glass wall but only half way, which meant, by the time I finished the shower, the toilet seat and was half wet..wish it had a full sliding door.

The hotel was clean and tidy. The room was comfortable and the staff were very helpful. I took the shuttle from the International terminal which was great once I found it. If you're staying at the hotel and looking to get back via the shuttle it's free. To the hotel was $10AUD. You take the "space parking/travelodge shuttle". This has nothing to do with the hotel and maybe it was because I was tired from traveling but I found it tricky to find where to go for it. For other Travellers, when you arrive at the international terminal, head towards the sign for shuttles and trains, to the right as tou come out of arrivals. Go past the McDonald's. You'll see a sign for trains, to the left of that there's a door that says shuttles, go through there and walk all the way down until you see a bench on your right. There will be a fence to your right as well. The other shuttles stop a little before this. They come by to pick up from the airport and drop off from the hotel every 15 minutes. Dinner was pretty good. Breakfast was good too. All standard for a hotel. The breakfast offered was things for a cooked "full English style" as well as a mix of fruit, pastries, breads, jams, and coffee and juices. Dinner was again pretty good hotel restaurant food, maybe a little pricey but if you're just stopping in from the airport it's decent enough, I had the burger and a Pepsi Max and it was $36AUD. I stayed in a Queen Room. The bed was comfy and the shower was good. There are plenty of sockets that fit Aus and NZ plugs as well as USB A sockets. The room has a safe, iron and ironing board as well as a wardrobe and a couple of hangers.

The only thing was having to pay for a bottle of water at the reception, $5AUD. Offering one or two bottles in your room would've been great.

After flying into Sydney following 2 weeks away I wanted to see a play at Surry Hills so booked into the Travelodge at the Airport. It was so convenient to get to after picking up my car from the long term parking. I caught the train to Central to see the play, which was also very convenient and a short walk from the hotel to Mascot train station.

Someone (presumably housekeeping) knocked on the door to my room at 8.30am on Sunday when I was in the shower, which was annoying.

Cleanliness and location

Aggressiveness on the phone from the attendant who ran the bus transfer . I wanted dimly directions to the pick up point for the shuttle. Thee are no sign at Sydney International that day shuttle . Change the directions on Booking . com to say .. step outside the door of International Terminal and turn right. Was approx 200 metres yp Bay 20 in Shuttle Pick Up Area which is identified by a green sign. Bay 20 is marked on the footpath in a green background

Tiffany at reception was wonderful on the phone the night before, which assisted me with my booking. She was extremely polite and professional.

I made a special request on my booking asking for a non-interconnecting room. This was acknowledged and accepted back, but on arrival it was interconnecting. When I asked to be moved in line with my confirmed request, I felt I was given the run-around. The first receptionist on the phone said she would check and get back to me. 15 minutes later I was still waiting so went to reception in person and was told that no-one was next door and unlikely to be at that time. In short, I wasn't going to get the room I had requested. The other issue is that one of the lifts was out of order. It did not cause a problem for me, but could have done so.

Comfortable & surprisingly quiet, considering it is so close to the airport! Also, there’s a good bistro on the ground floor serving dinner, breakfast & other meals. The free shuttle to the airport was a bonus!

The free shuttle bus departs from underneath the hotel in the covered car park area - no one explained this to me, so don’t waste time hanging around outside the carpark. Also, there are no set times for shuttle departures. I suggest you get there as early as you can because it follows a set route & may not get to your terminal as soon as you expected.
