Can have breakfast across the road, it’s super close,don’t like the inconvenience of not being able to pay cash. this was really inconvenient because I had to do two separate bookings and then I had to go and do the second booking after I went to the Commonwealth Bank at Hurstville to put money into the bank and then came home. This was very inconvenient as there’s no Commonwealth terminal at Penhurst. I don’t keep a lot of money on my MasterCard because I don’t work. I’m retired so I found this really inconvenient that I couldn’t do a combination of MasterCard and cash. it was inconvenience because I had to go all the way to Hurstville was a nightmare then I got sick because I caught something at Hurstville and spent two days in hospital because I caught something at Hurstville going to put money in the Bank.

I didn’t like that. I wasn’t able to pay half and half. I wasn’t. I had to pay everything on my MasterCard and I didn’t have enough on my MasterCard and that’s a silly thing where you don’t take cash when it’s cash is still legal tender in this country I’m feeling like I should really write into the Local Member about how your organisation refuses cash. We’re not living in a cashless society yet.

The location was excellent and was close to the station. Room was clean. Our towels were exchanged while we were out and about. Bed was comfortable.

My partner and I asked for a key card each so we could each come and go as we pleased. In preparing his card, my card was deactivated and I was locked out when my partner went somewhere. This was just after 7 am and there was no staff around at the time to assist with me being able to re-enter. Eventually one of the cleaning staff arrived after I'd been locked out for 90 minutes. She claimed too be busy to reactivate my card on the spot but she did let me in my room. My partner spoke to her on his return after the Pub had opened and she canced his card and gave us 2 new activated cards.

We stayed at Penshurst Hotel for 3 nights and had a fantastic experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making check-in and check-out smooth and stress-free. The location is excellent, quiet and peaceful, yet close to public transport, shops, and cafes. We really appreciate the attention to detail in the housekeeping and how relaxing the overall atmosphere was. Would definitely stay here again. Great value and great service!

TV remote did not work properly but it was not an issue.

Warm room, shower water is hot. Location is good. Be aware the ground floor is a Casino. This did not affect my stay in anyway, just for everyone`s information. Some people may like it, some may not.

The WIFI password given in the instruction is incorrect. Very loud noise from the traffic in early morning, no sound insulation (understandable that it is an old and probably a historical building). Forced me to get up early. No reception service in the morning before 10am, don`t know where I should return the room key to, so just left in the room.

The location was well received by myself as I assume it to be across from the train station for some odd reason. However I found the Penshurst Hotel and to mention that it was great value for money.

My check out was a bit early before 10am and business was not open nevertheless a personal inside advice me to place the key in the black box at the foyer but I couldn't locate his direction. I walked out for the second and staff that checked me in was opening the windows and received my key.

Size of the bathrooms and arrangement of the shower. Water didn't go everywhere despite being open. Beds were quite plush and had good sound proofing, you could not hear the sports bar below. Nice location close to shopping centre in Hurstville, and some lovely cafes are around.

No where to put a suitcase. Checkin process was not clear, (entered via the gaming room which was not clearly signed), took a while for our ID to be processed. Parking is not clear either. Having to be checked out by 10 am but the gates aren't open until then.

Room was clean and a nice decent size bathroom for a hotel room. Location was convenient being in the street and close to cafes etc a nice cheap place to stay

Was told the car park would be closed from 4am till 10am. I needed my car early in morning so had to drive around and find street parking of a night which was a bit inconvenient

the location is good for me as I use the hotel while visiting friend that live nearby. I didn't eat (or drink) there as I was out with friends most of the time but I did notice the menu and thought it looked nice, I would like to eat there if I stay again.

Nothing really, it was as I expected - having stayed once before. I will definitely use this hotel again if a room is available when I am next in Sydney

Very nice room which exceeded my past experiences of other Pub type accommodation.

I wasn't informed that the car park would be locked by a chain so I couldn't depart the carpark until 945am. This was my only gripe. It would have been nice if the staff informed me of this on checkin or at the time of booking.

Location. We were staying closer to airport for a morning flight.

Parking was available, but were told the parking will be closed late night which was fine and only opens at 10 am and was advised to park at the street if needed leaving earlier. So the purpose of the stay did not work as we had to leave some baggage in the car overnight and was unsafe at the street. Otherwise the stay was good.
