Brekkie was beautiful. Fantastic location. Room was clean, although bathroom could do with updating.. Staff very friendly and helpful. Perhaps there could be a small cup of milk, or the small single serve of milk so when you arrive could have a tea or coffee - had everything else, but no milk.

The sliding glass door to outside - something wrong with rollers. Was hard to open, in fact I couldn't open at all from outside, husband thankfully could. Also, we are there on a particularly windy day - the wind literally whistles under the front door - we had to roll a towel up and place under it, otherwise we would of had no sleep. Would suggest maybe a draught stopper snake.

The property is in a great location with easy access to the beach, lagoon and shops. We had a large group for breakfast and the staff in the restaurant were so accommodating and friendly. And the food was brilliant - great value and everyone only had great comments about the food. And wonderful coffee! The lady who checked us in was the chef. Can’t say enough about the staff.

Even though the rooms have had a refurb, the bathrooms could do with some upgrades. Little things like the bin was broken, our friends didn’t have a door on the shower and cleaning could do with a little more attention.

In spite of the Clan being an old property, it was well maintained and clean. It was good to be staying in a pet friendly motel. The staff was attentive, polite and professional. Nicolle called ahead to enquire of our arrival time, was waiting to welcome us on arrival, and effective when we requested to have coffee in the cafe while there was a private function going on. The receptionist responded immediately when we complained about the faulty bathroom tap, and sent a technician to investigate. She also supplied new soap when requested. The double bed was comfortable, but the extra bed was too saggy/old/soft. The location was very good, with walking distance from the hustle and bustle of Terrigal, and just a stone's throw from the surf beach.

Being an old property, it was understandable that the bathroom fixtures were old, but the Clan should invest in new fixtures from time to time.

We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay overnight. We were checked in quickly by the loveliest lady in reception who upgraded us to a nicer room with a lake view. The room was spotlessly clean with the most comfortable bed and the room had everything we needed. We were given details of where to find the restaurants nearby for dinner, and as it was raining we were lent umbrellas . The complimentary breakfast the next morning was superb, one of the best we have had on our extensive travels with a large varied menu too. Our waitress was delightful, and took our orders with a smile giving us advise and directions for the next leg of our journey. We cannot express enough what a fabulous place this is to stay

Nothing at all

I’ve been visiting Terrigal since I was a toddler, and I always loved The Clan, right on the lagoon next to the pedal boats. My first stay didn’t disappoint in any way. Very spacious room with balcony overlooking the lagoon and beyond. Comfortable bed, sufficient space in the bathroom. Our lagoon-view room was beautiful and calm, for the most part. But the BREAKFAST…. Man. What a lovely cafe, and beautiful views, and extensive menu. My husband had the big breakfast every day, but I enjoyed a bunch of different plates, all delicious. I feel sad for anyone who only stays one night!

Peak holiday season weans the car park was full - and not easy to navigate in & out. We are also having some temporary mobility issues; we ought to have asked for a ground floor room because the stairs were a bit too much. Traffic noise is constant and considerable with the balcony doors open. The sound of the surf at Wamberal and Terrigal Beaches at night is so perfect though. A few maintenance issues. Also, the fridge is inside a small cupboard with NO handles and the bump catches/push to open latches don’t work! Arg. But you see how the good is so, so much better, yeah?

The staff were all very friendly and this is extended to the staff in the restaurant. Location was fantastic with the lake just steps away from your door and the ocean just around the corner. An easy walk to the town centre with lots of restaurants to choose from. Fantastic location if you wanted to park your car for the duration of your stay. Easy drive to other areas of the coast also.

All staff are the right people in the right job - so good to encounter. Breakfast excellent, staff went the extra mile to accommodate needs. Location, beach on doorstep, easy to visit other coastal attractions.

Bathroom soon in need of upgrade but would hate to see some big international company come in and change to all glitz and chrome.

Excellent location, great amount of space for our family of 4. The service from the call the day of checkin to offer early check in, to the cafe breakfast included ( I mean, proper cooked bacon & eggs, avo on toast, eggs Benedict, healthy bowls & pancakes for the kids!) to the friendly staff, to the location to the book exchange in reception, I absolutely loved this place!

The only issue was the bathroom and lack of ventilation.. we only stayed for 2 nights so it didn’t affect our stay but because there are no fans and it’s winter a lot of condensation builds up and there’s mould.

Perfect spot for anyone with kids. Rooms are right on the lovely lagoon which is shallow and safe for young kids to swim. Boats to hire. The Ocean is a few meters away. Staff were great and let us stay in the room till 12 on the day of departure and gave us lots of local info. There is also a lovely children's park on the lagoon nearby.

Very friendly staff and great location! Brenda was exceptionally helpful and accommodating with our requests. The family room is very ideal for a family of four. The included breakfast is something to look forward to every morning. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed all our meals especially the kids. Thank you for providing us with a wonderful stay. Will definitely come back again.
