Our stay at the Palms at Avoca was exceptional. Beautiful natural location set in the value, proximity to the beach and shops, lovely villas, neatly maintained and clean facilities stand out. The Villa was self-catering, clean, tidy, and the beds were comfy. Absolutely no issues with any of the facilities like stovetop, oven or hot showers. The lady at the reception was very welcoming and gave us a virtual tour of the property as well local tourist tips. The jacuzzi was the highlight of our trip, kids enjoyed the most. Even though we did not go in ideal summer weather, the place gave us a feel of a hill station. overall, a great trip at a great price.

There can be a few more recreational facilities, especially for the kids.

Quick responses to enquiries, Leanne was helpful with a wealth of knowledge about local businesses and activities. Cabins are perfect for families, our boys enjoyed the games room which we were blessed with being so close to. The pools to specially the heated spa was a treat for our boys. Our youngest (10yo) even enjoyed the in-house bathtub. Kitchen well equipped, allowed us to bring basic breakfast needs, as well as microwave to heat up food. We'd definitely be back, and sharing our experiences with families 🙏❤️‍🔥

We stay in these cabin style accommodation on all our trips away due to having a young family. The convenience of having a separate living area and two bedrooms is awesome. The lady at the reception was very wonderful as well.

The wifi kept disconnecting meaning we had to use our own mobile data to run any streaming services which was a bit inconvenient. The neighbour also left their light on constantly the whole weekend which shined straight into the bedroom and even with blinds fully closed it still kept us awake. A better blind set up would easily fix this.

Loved the location. It was absolutely beautiful to just be surrounded by nature, beautiful bush around the villa and all the sounds of the birds. It felt very secluded and loved that parking was so close to the villa - no need to travel in lifts etc. It was the perfect size for a small family and everything that we needed was there.

The one thing that was the MOST frustrating is that if you are unlucky enough to have a bad neighbour during your stay then you are screwed. The villas are very close together so your porch is right next to another villa’s bedroom window. We had some really noisy neighbours who kept their bright porch light on drinking and smoking until midnight or later most nights which meant some really poor nights of sleep for us…not ideal. The facilities aren’t OLD but they aren’t new either. For example, the games room looked very sad and outdated, the rooms are plain too (not that we minded - less for our baby to break). If you are looking for LUXURY then this wouldn’t be the place for you.

The Palms hugely exceeded my expectations. Our welcome envelope (as we arrived late) included everything we needed to know. The site is beautiful with lots of privacy and wildlife. Directions were clear. The accommodation was a 2 bed cabin and was pristine. Everything you could need. Immaculate. Peaceful. It was just a little piece of heaven. Beds were comfortable and bedding like new. Shower was powerful and hot. Kitchen was well equipped. It was just better in every way than I could have hoped for and actually made me quite emotional. Thank you!!

Beautiful environment and easy with kids

Small rooms , kitchen did not have the basics, next time we know that we need to bring more stuff with us . Also the sink in the bathroom was not working properly water was not draining,aircon was also not working correctly and using tv took sometime to figure it out plus using dvd is not possible coz there was no dvd player for it even we were told that there is this option. We did not mind coz kids were ok without it but in evening hours it would be nice to have this option.

We stayed in one of the Villas and found it to be excellent for our needs and well appointed in terms of facilities. It had room for four consisting of a double and two bunk beds in separate rooms. It was very comfortable. The games room had a range of activities but you need to pay to use them. (Gold Coin). An issue arose during our stay (not related to the property) and the reception staff were excellent in helping us to resolve it. WiFi seemed to work well. It was quite cold during our stay and the heating was excellent.

No issues with the property and no criticism intended but I should point out that you need a car or be prepared to pay for an Uber or Taxi to get around. Not a lot within walking distance and the area is quite hilly so a reasonable level of fitness is needed.

Despite the wet weather, we enjoyed the warm spa and game room facilities. Administration staff were lovely. Rooms were clean. Portable cot provided. Wildlife was happy. Wonderful accommodation, though it would be nice if the entertainment facilities operated longer, by the time our family attended events and went out to dinner we didn't get the opportunity to enjoy them long enough.

We had an amazing time as always this place we highly recommend for family. Also location perfect close to all surrounding beaches, shops and Cafe.

Cabin 16 and 17 no privacy between the guests on the outdoor balconies. I suggest that you should invest Into some artificial green leafy walls to block each other's view and for comfort. Shower might need a bit more adjustment on the water flow, and a little slower on the hot water.
