I travel for work regularly and usually book somewhere economical and pub hotels meet the criteria. unfortunately, pubs can be a hit and miss. However, the Bayview Hotel Woy Woy exceeded my expectations. The staff were very friendly and on arrival, the manager even took the time to show me around the venue. the room was clean and comfortable. although it did not have a private bathroom, the shared bathroom was modern and clean. The venue is close to shops, and public transport. There is also a ferry service directly opposite the hotel. The hotel has a nice dining room with good selection food. It also has an outdoor dinner area that overlooks the bay. The downside is that due to its location, being on a main road, and the train line, it can be a bit noisy at times. But for the price, it's value for money.

The Hotel has had a recent upgrade. The venue has hotel rooms and motel rooms to accommodate your preference. The rooms are clean, The location is good, water veiws, transport and shopping centre. There is a good restaurant and an outdoor dinning area overlooking the bay. The staff are friendly and has good a vibe.
The venue is located on a main road and railway line, which can be noisy at night. Also, some of the room are located near the compressor room, which are very noisy, so if you're a light sleepers, avoid rooms 2, 3 and 4

Given the fact that the rooms don't have a bathroom or air conditioning (the toilet facilities are down the hall) it is good value for $80. Bedding is perfect, there's a sink and refrigerator and ceiling fan. The ceiling fan is not noisy, but it does not give much relief (I was there on a very hot day). I think modern ceiling fans would improve the rooms noticeably. A great feature about this motel is the pub-restaurant on the ground floor. Atmosphere and food is very good, staff behind the bar are polite and very helpful. I will stay there again.
The ceiling fans are old and installation of up-to-date ceiling fans would be a great improvement if there is no air conditioning.

easy to manage, exactly how described, staff were lovely, easy transaction, very affordable which was awesome! close to everything & train station. will definitely stay again in future
would have liked a handle on the door as it was very heavy to move by just the lock & my finger tips, also would of liked a screen & proper lock on the window, as being a pub, felt a little eery while sleeping with window wide open (it was very hot) also not all power points worked, had to unplug fridge to charge phone, no hate though, was still perfect for the one night :)

I TRAVEL FROM SYDNEY ( CAMPBELLTOWN ) AND WORK IN CENTRAL COAST AND WOY WOY IS A LOVELY SPOT TO VISIT, THE ROOMS I'VE STAYED IN ARE ALWAYS COMFY, COSY AND RELAXING. ESPECIALLY WHEN I WORK NIGHTS, COME THE MORNING, ITS ALWAYS DELIGHT TO SHUT THE BLINDS, HAVE FAN ON AND JUMP INTO BED AND CRASH OUT. LOL
I DON'T WATCH TV, UNLESS IN ROOM 2 ( TV SCREEN MAYBE THE SMALLEST, OF ALL THE ROOMS I'VE STAYED IN, AT LEAST I CAN WATCH NETFLIX, YOUTUBE AND PRIME ON TV ) THE OTHER TV'S HAVE STANDARD CHANNELS AND ARE BORING AND NOT WORTH BEING IN THE ROOM. ( TO BE HONEST )

It's a nice hotel very near the water and within easy reach of the railway station and most of town.
The only downer I had was that despite booking a Queen Room with Private Bathroom last July I received a Family Room. Now whilst the family room got me through my stay it was not what I paid for and not appropriate for a single person. It had 3 beds but not much else in the way of comfort. When I confronted a staff member about the mix up she didn't know how it had happened but couldn't do anything about it because it was all sold out. The photo's of the Queen Room look a lot more inviting to me with a couch to sit on while watching television.

Neat and tidy room. Nothing flashy. As I’m on a tight budget it suited me. I chose room with ensuite as I don’t like to share a bathroom with strangers.
My only criticism is you have to pay on site and can’t pre pay using booking.com. Also I left my phone charger and medication behind in the room after I checked out and when I realised and called to see if I could get them they were nowhere to be found. Obviously the cleaners threw them out or didn’t hand them in as Lost Property. I don’t really know. Very disappointing especially since I needed my medication. I think the cleaning staff need to be instructed better in this regard. The hotel needs a lost property room.

This is my 2nd stay at the Bay View Hotel and the last room I had had air conditioning, an the room I had no air conditioning. However, doesn't mean I wouldn't come back. The staff are great, so are the house maids of the hotel and as for the location, this 2nd time round; I had a view of Brisbane Water which was lovely.
The only thing I will say, "the hotel need to upgrade their TV with a smart TV, there is nothing to watch on normal TV lol", other than that. That is my only whinge lol

Property was in a great location easy access to really nice shops ,pubs ,Coffee shops , coles, Woolies , the accommodation itself was nice and comfortable secure and very quiet
Our sink in the bathroom was blocked being the only sink and tap In the room we used it for everything unfortunately we ended up using towels to soak all the water out . Out room did not have a microwave it was a little inconvenient we bought food away with us being Good Friday and were unable to heat it

The room was very large and airy, with TV, bar fridge and tea/coffee facilities (I'm told there are sinks in all but 1 room in order to have a hot drink without leaving the room). The staff were helpful and nice. There are 3 different bars on the location and another across the road; two with different dining options. Different vibes from each area. Downstairs seemed popular in a bright open area beside the bay. Upstairs could be romantic (grab a stool if you want to have a view) or a place to watch a match on a huge TV. The food and cocktails were nice (I did expect more for the price). Other nearby eateries for plenty of choice. A live Saturday night band was playing when I was there (great if you want to party, be selective of the room if you want to sleep). A short drive to the Henry Kendall Cottage, the Chocolate Factory and national parks. A pleasant walk along Brisbane Water starting just outside. Water taxi berth just outside and playground nearby if you have children. For those who like to gamble, there is a TAB and I think pokies.
I arrived on a busy Saturday at lunchtime. The carpark was packed with day patrons (no specified parking for guests stay in rooms). Weekday parking was no problem. The shared bathrooms were public toilet style cubicles with only one hook and visible gaps at the doors edge. There is a sinlge communal ensuite style of bathroom if you are lucky with your timing. I was in the cheap room without a view (I did get what I paid for). Many might have found the room a little bright but I found it acceptable. The TV was small, especially compare to the rest of the room. Meals could be better value although mostly standard priced meals.
