Well located just out of the city centre, yet close by. Room was well furnished and supplied with consumables, 2 chairs, microwave, plates, cutlery, excellent fridge and large area for bags. The bedroom and wardrobe area was spacious and clean throughout. Good bedside and wall lighting. Though situated on the central coast highway, the room was set back from the road and quite soundproof. Very attractive pool area. Offer of free membership to RSL across the road is an excellent feature and made choice of where to have dinner very easy, including membership discount.

One of the towels was threadbare with fraying edges. The bathroom floor felt a bit sticky underfoot and the base of the bathroom walls and edges of the floor needed a good scrub. I wondered why breakfast isn’t offered at the property but didn’t get time to enquire.

I was booked into the Disability friendly room. It was great. Plenty of room for me and my assistance dog 🐕‍🦺🐕. Being physically disabled as well as deaf I can say I definitely would stay there again. All the amenities were available that seem to be disappearing these days. I was surprised that they even had a hair dryer. Can't remember the last time I saw one. The woman even opened the door to the office for me. Lovely.

There was a sliding door in the bathroom which really didn't slide well. Very difficult for me, as a disabled person, to slide.

We stayed here whilst on our way traveling up the coast. Reception staff were friendly and efficient checking us in for the night. We were given a handy free membership to the RSL across the road, which we later used for a tasty discounted dinner and drinks. The motel room itself was clean and tidy. We found the bed comfortable for a good night sleep and the room surprisingly quiet even though its location is on a busy road. TV and heating worked well during our stay and the shower was nice and hot next morning. Location is excellent, handy if traveling up or down the coast, plus plenty of parking and food options closely. Would happily stay here again.

The location is fabulous, the pool was wonderful & the bed very comfy. The unit was nice & clean and the staff friendly & helpful. We cannot wait to stay again when the Rsl is completed as it looks amazing.

The units are very thin walled' & the family beside us, for 2 of our 3 nights, were very noisy with little to no consideration of their neighbours throughtout the day or late at night. We've stayed here in the past on a number of occasions & unfortunately the issue with the noise isn't new. Maybe a bit of added insulation would help? The convenience of the location & vacancies being available make up for it, but it does take the shine off a lovely stay.

Staff are friendly, rooms have a microwave, cutlery, plates, bowls and a toaster which is great. They have an affordable guest laundry, good location and great showers in the bathroom.

Housekeeping could come at 10am or 3pm or anytime inbetween....one day they didn't come at all. The curtain does not fully cover the large window compromising privacy and letting in light. The decor and fittings are a bit worn and tatty. The motel is always used by a lot of "tradies" who tend to congregate in groups outside their rooms after work (4pm ish) drinking beer, swearing and generally being unpleasant.

Location is good for my needs over the weekend of where I had to go to and from each day.

The pillows were a bit hard. There was a considerable amount of noise from the service station next door with cars revving engines until 10:30pm on the Friday night of my stay. As I was in a room near the front entrance of the motel this was extremely loud to the point I could not hear my tv. This was not the staff's fault

Basic facilities but clean, comfortable bed, quiet in spite of being close to a main road. Good size room. We upgraded for a small cost to a slightly bigger room. Good to be able to park directly outside of the room. Close to West Gosford RSL for meal and drinks. Close to shopping complexes such as Officeworks, Bunnings etc.

Perfect for an affordable overnight stay while travelling up/down the central coast as it is not too far from the highway, close to several petrol stations, supermarket, RSL, Indian restaurant and several take aways. It also has a toaster, microwave, crockery and cutlery in the room, which is very handy. Also, most of the rooms are away from the road, so it is reasonably quiet with regard to traffic noise.

I stayed at the Ashwood a few years ago and enjoyed my stay so I booked again this time. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything I needed. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The motel can be difficult to see as you enter Gosford due the building next door. However the motel itself is great.

On arrival I was greeted by a young man, Connor who went above and beyond. The Ashwood Motel is associated with the Gosford RSL across the road and Connor stated that if I have Veterans Card I'm entitled a discounted room rate of 15% which he applied straight away, and then I was offered a complimentary membership to the club which would give me 10% food and beverages The rooms were great and I liked having a supply of crockery and cutlery, the bed was super comfy.

The only small complaint I had was the guest laundry which required tokens from the reception and they had no detergent available either. Also if you are coming from the East it's bit of a nightmare trying to get into the driveway.
