I recently stayed here for a short trip and was really impressed. The price was excellent for what was offered. While the room was on the smaller side, it was exactly what I needed — clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The bed was super cozy and made for a great night’s sleep. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience feel welcoming. The location was convenient, close to public transport and a few nice cafés, and check-in/check-out was smooth and hassle-free. Extras like good quality linens, reliable Wi-Fi, and a well-functioning air conditioner added to the comfort. It’s a no-frills hotel, but done right — simple, tidy, and just what you want after a long day. Would definitely stay again!

Limited storage space — no drawers or shelves to unpack, so I had to live out of my suitcase. The room was quite small — fine for a solo stay or short visit, but might feel a bit cramped for longer stays or if travelling with lots of luggage.

The bed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom and room facilities was minimalist but clean. Overall we enjoyed our one night getaway at Gosford for an event. Thank you!

The bathroom floor design / layout is not the best. When you shower, the water would flow to near the door before it finally went into the drainage. I think it's a design flaw because we need to stand on the drainage hole (because it's just right under where the shower is).

I arrived 2 hours ahead of my check in time. I was welcomed as soon as I got here and was allowed a room right away. Room was very clean, bed was extremely comfortable. Bathroom was huge and very clean

If there was 1 little thing i didnt like it was that the window blind could either be all the way up or all the way down, no inbetween. I dont like to sleep in a pitch dark room so this was a bit daunting for me. I did however sleep with the blind all the way down and the tv on to give me a bit of light.

Great price Great area. I booked in only a few hrs before arriving. When arrvied lady gave me a queen bed instead of 2 singles. She said be more comfy. And also allowed me to have a late check out as my aunties funeral wasnt untill 2pm. And she didnt want to be bored while waiting.

The shower COULD have better drainage. SOAKED THE BATH MAT AND HAD TO USE A TOWEL. And was going all over the bathroom floor 😳

Could get free tea and coffee and change of towels anytime. Friendly and responsive staff. Close to a McDonald’s and bus stop. Microwave and larger refrigerator available to use.

Budget hotel but price was not cheap at $119-139 a night. No free breakfast even though breakfast is just cereal and toast with some condiments. Room was supposed to be cleaned every Monday but some weeks cleaners did not come on the right day or did not come at all. Laundry was expensive and dryer was not strong so had to run it multiple times and some thicker clothes were still not dry.

Bit of a room mixup when we got there but sorted out quickly. Rooms tidy, clean, wifi good, parking good, air conditioner worked well. I didn’t have any, but breakfast looked good and good value.

It wasn’t a problem for us, but the bathroom floods a bit when you have a shower as the floor slope to the waste is a bit off. Maybe put a small mould on the shower perimeter and across the doorway to keep the water in - we had to use a towel to keep the water in. I have stayed at Ibis Liverpool before and that stay was equally good.

The meal room opposite reception was very bright & well designed area & loved the breakfast & coffee machine.

The room for twin beds was too small for 2 beds & you could barely move around with 2 people in the room at the same time. The guy who checked us in had lots of difficulty as I had requested a twin room on the ground floor & there was no mention of that on my booking so I think he made another new booking for me as later I got a call from him asking me when I would be arriving.

Staff professional and friendly. Location close to shops and food. Parking and car park lighting. Cleanliness, hot showers, relatively large shower space. tea, coffee & bickies.

A group of noisy young men disturbed guests with their loud voices briefly during the night. However, Friendly Staff quickly nipped that behaviour in the bud. I LOVE IT WHEN STAFF HEAR ACT UNCONDITIONALLY FOR GUESTS !!! Very grateful for the Staffs quick action in not putting up with any raucous behaviour. Everything else - Great.

Went to Gosford for a funeral. We needed accommodation near to the function and Ibis Gosford was ideal for our use. Close to amenities, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast if we wanted. Very small bathroom but functional. Clean and comfortable. Would recommend.

We nearly got locked into our bathroom as the lock(?) didn't work well.

My overall experience of this hotel was little better than I expected after reading other reviews. Yes the room is small but fine for a night stay. The room was clean, bedding was very clean and fresh, bathroom although small was clean and the shower pressure great. I stayed on a booked out night and I was surprised not to be disturbed by other guest. I would stay again when staying in Gosford
