This is an old style pub which has been updated but retains the basic and important items needed . Cleanliness, efficient and helpful staff and reasonable cost The room containing one double and one single bed (fine for family) was spacious and clean. It was quiet and comfortable. Great value for money The hotel free courtesy bus was available and very convenient for journeys to and from our family function

Three flights of steps to the level where the rooms are. I managed and the staff offered help wth baggage. It’s not an issue for the majority and the hotel are quite open in explaining the situation it’s just something to be aware of.

The room was nice, a good size, and comfy. Great service each day to refresh the room and makeup the bed. The property location is a great base for day trips to any of the Central Coast locations, with easy short walk to Umina Beach. Easy and simple to have a main meal or 2 downstairs at the Bistro during our stay. Good and helpful information in the room and on the website. Free WiFi, worked really well. Nice friendly staff.

At either side of the bed is a little 'table' - great for putting things on, but would be better if these are a little unit with drawers, so that storage for a few things is then made. But really, everything was fine and in line with our expectations for this style of accommodation.

Clean and Spacious Room Suitable for a few overnights to attend local functions. Check in was straight forward, Food was reasonably priced and nice. Downstairs Entertainment on Friday Night was Good

We seemed to be some sort of Novelty in the Hotel Area with what I can only assume is regulars interrupting our small groups conversation to compliment us on our appearance then sharing their life stories, was just a bit weird

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. I was pleasantly surprised by the many complimentary amenities, such as billiards, drinks at the bar, complimentary drinking water in the room, and free parking. These thoughtful touches made my stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for great service and value!

The bed was uphill at the foot which was weird. At one stage during the night I put my pillow up at the foot of the bed and slept that way up. Location is UMINA not Ettalong Beach - Booking.com got it wrong. It is after all the Umina Hotel. There was an advertising banner on the awning near our window that flapped all night, as it was not tied down.

We were a bit worried at first when we arrived. We didn’t realise it was above a pub. There was live music on and we were worried about the noise. But when we got the keys and went upstairs- by stairs, up one floor only, it was quite. We got a corner room so it was huge with a huge bathroom. It was so clean, and simple, windows with block out blinds. On the Main Street , less than 1 minute walk to Woolworths, Aldi, coffee shop, burger shops, pub /bar downstairs, on site parking. Excellent location. Also only 6 min walk from the beach

The location is perfect, right at the main crossing of Umina Beach, one block from the beach, with markets, stores, restaurants, and everything around. The staff is lovely and efficient. The pub and restaurant is very good.

The access to the parking space is not always open and there is no lift, which created some extra effort to deal with the baby's pram. Nothing to hurt the great experience.

Location was central to many amenities, including a Woolies across the road, several cafes and other takeaway outlets. The room was clean and tidy and had everything I needed. I also liked the USB charging available on the bedside power outlet and on the counter top.

The internet was a little patchy and the TV was a tad small for the distance it was from the bed, but not unwatchable.

I stayed with my 16 year old son, we both loved the location , The restaurant is awesome food is great quality for a pub. ! Really clean 😃

Room 16 …. Not sure if it’s the distance the water 🚿 is Traveling from main source, but it really doesn’t make showering enjoyable!!! 😣😣😣😣 the hot water was coming in and out .

The staff were super friendly and helpful Check in process was smooth, using a link texted to your mobile you could check in online and complete details and payment so when you arrive it’s as easy as picking up your room card/key The rooms were extremely spacious Bed was super comfortable Bathroom was spacious and clean, walk in shower Soap bars, shampoo, conditioner and body wash were all supplied (2x each - very generous considering room rate) Air-conditioning worked fantastic particularly on an extremely hot day TV worked well and streaming services were available Pub downstairs served incredible meals (full rack of pork ribs was to die for!) Couldn’t hear noise or traffic down in the pub/beer garden even with live music playing which was appreciated In room dining available via QR Code was super handy Notepad and Pen provided which is always a bonus! Free on site parking behind the building (pub car park) Very central to woolworths (across the road), eateries and restaurants (surrounding), beach access (nearby) Would 100% recommend Night Cap to anyone wanting a quick stop over or for those that are happy to stay longer and eating from the pub or local eateries right at the doorstep

No lift access - completely ok for me however may restrict other guests requiring disability access or those not fit enough to use the stairs As I was travelling with pre-packed meals a microwave would have been nice in the room however if I went down to the bistro I’m sure they would have been more than happy to heat my food but glad I took the chance to get a meal from the bistro instead as it was delicious!
