Excellent location and the Sage Suite was a great sized room with enormous balcony. Bed was comfortable and the coffee machine was a nice addition, also loved the body wash. Friendly staff and overall great cleanliness!

Air Con was very loud and had to constantly turn it off/on during the night so we did not have a great sleep. Car park fee a little excessive, should be included.

Great location - WIN Stadium, Beachfront, Steelers Restaurant and Golf park at your door-step. Special call out to Bianca who looked after us when we arrived. We arrived to the hotel a bit early as I asked if there was a place within the hotel that I can literally log in and have my online meeting. Bianca shared with us the mezzanine floor and it was perfect. Bianca also shared that our room was available if we wanted to check in which is double amazing! We were in Wollongong as my husband has been wanting to look around the Gong for so long, so this was his birthday gift. We had a great time, a great location to Golf park, walkway on the beach right in front of the hotel, great place for the WIN stadium and we even had a bite at the local Steelers club where food was absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly, approachable & helpful from the moment we arrived until the time we left. We enjoyed the happy hour drinks. The room suited our needs well, only thing we could fault at our time there was the bed. Although it was comfortable it was two singles pushed together and if you rolled over whilst in bed they split apart, leaving an uncomfortable gap (staff advised that it can be arranged for a different mattress to be used for our next visit and have noted our profile). Undercover parking (paid) was located directly under the hotel. Although there is alternative parking away from the hotel that the staff can help with. We didn't realise until we walk around the area that you need to pay for parking around the surrounding area and street parking was limited and restricted. Outdoor pool looked inviting although we didn't get an opportunity to use it. Short walk to nearby eateries and supermarkets, hotel also had a restaurant that looked appetising. If you are going to an event at WIN stadium the Sage Hotel is the perfect location to stay.

Staff were very friendly and willing to help when ever possible.. beds were very comfortable, extra pillows were a bonus, pillows were nice and soft and the shower was nice hot and refreshing with good water pressure. Room and bathroom size was generous. The views at night of the buildings is stunning and the morning view of the beach is pretty of the day. The rooms are very clean and the cleaning staff are very accomodating if you need an extra towel or 2.

The food menu could of offered a seafood platter or a crazing board. The menu seemed over complicated to what you received on the plate. Rooms need a bit of warmth put in them especially room 1112 as they appeared a bit clinical. For the amount you pay, 1 ply toilet paper is a little disappointing. The last thumbs down is the ear piercing noise from the several Harley Davidson motorbikes and revving cars that circle the same route close by every afternoon until late at night. A mini bar would of been nice if it was to be offered.

Location was unbeatable for our specific needs - which was to attend Wollongong Eisteddfod at the IPAC for our child. Easily walkable to IPAC and restaurants nearby. Plenty of free street parking available near the hotel. Staff were courteous. Our double room was one of the largest hotel rooms we have stayed in. So much space for the kids. Bathroom was also very spacious with double sinks. Free coffee voucher for choosing not to have our room serviced during our 2 night stay was a nice touch.

I feel the room could have been cleaner. There were obvious marks/dirt not cleaned off the carpet. Bathroom/shower grout/tiles could also been cleaner. Shower leaked out. Noise was also a bit of a problem. Our first night was a Sunday night which we expected to be quiet. But there was obviously some sort of party or group gathering and people screaming until well past 9:30pm. We were on the 7th floor and could still hear it clearly, which was unfortunate as we were trying to have an early night as we needed to be up before 6am the next day.

Our room was lovely as it overlooked the golf course, but twice the room service people missed us. The card to hang out to have the room made up was two sided, with the second side saying do not disturb (or something similar) and I think it must have twisted around. However, after the first time we were missed I spoke to the girl servicing the room and she did a great job refreshing things while we were out.

The entry from the carpark to the hotel, through three very grubby fire doors did not make a good first impression but once inside the hotel it was fine. I have mentioned this to the hotel so hopefully they will get them painted.

Thomas made our getaway super comfy and extra special taking extra care with our needs and he is just a genuinely lovely person all round. Very grateful for all the staff, our dinner at Coldwater Creek and the full continental breakfast selection at Five Islands. Please also thank the daily room cleaning services. We are looking forward to staying again soon, the NZ Warriors are coming to town, we know where to go, this time with the whole tribe. This is a wonderful hotel. I was asked on arrival if I'd like a cheaper upgrade, which I took and the most amazing views. The staff were always very pleasant and helpful with anything I needed. The room was spacious and comfortable. Everything is kept lovely and clean. I had breakfast there both mornings, which has a wide selection for you to choose from for a decent price. One of the added extras i love was the free water in the lobby to fill up your water bottle. You had a choice to even get sparkling water if preferred. This was a very nice touch. You are a stones throw away from the most beautiful beach, town, and some lovely food places. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would stay again if I returned from the UK 🇬🇧

Bathrooms still really need mould issues addressed. This has been a problem for many years in the 5 times I have stayed at this property. Unfortunately I feel that Sage needs to contact the organisers of Southern Stars to request that schools don’t use the hotel as a meeting place. The crowds out the front of the doors, and cars parking in the driveway made it difficult and unsafe for us paying guests to enter and exit the hotel at times.

The bed was excellent and I slept really well. The location is good with some lovely walks straight out of the door. The room was very pleasant and spacious. I would have liked a different view but it was pleasant enough. The room was clean and well presented overall.

I was disappointed that parking was an additional cost, and while I was able to get more from reception, the supplies of tea and milk were limited when I first accessed the room. I would have appreciated some hand cream in the bathroom. The food and beverage options in the restaurant did not have much of a vegetarian selection and there was only one zero alcohol option, a beer, which was good. Perhaps consider getting some Minchinbury zero alcohol sparkling wine or something similar. I haven't yet found a good red wine option in the zero alcohol range.
