The service apartment. Short distance to restaurants and supermarket stores
Having to scramble for a parking spot each time we entered as the parking area was always full of golf patrons , restuarant visitors and general people parking their cars( no connection to the club or hotel and who seem to be livingi in the units across the road) ) . Car park is practically open to public. There seemed to be no security and there is no parking spaces for hotel patrons specifically. It's a first come, first serve. Did not feel safe parking car further down where parking is out of sight of the entrance but staying the 3 nights, we had no choice but to park further away from hotel 2 out of the 3 nights. When we went out for the day, we came back to a fully packed car park each day of our stay. This let down is the reason I give a lower rating for Best Western.

It was a fabulous location for our family reunion and the staff in all areas of the hotel and golf club were amazing. The room had lovely City views, but above all it was the perfect size for a family of four adults. The two bathrooms, sitting area and small kitchenette made it easy for us all to move around without annoying each other. The beds and pillows were firm and just how we like it. The bedrooms were always warm & toasty ,and it must be wizardry because there were no heaters. Whatever it was - it was appreciated after a cold day out site seeing.

The staff member at the front desk, Mary, was brilliant. She was welcoming on arrival, explained the use of facilities etc She tried to assist any query as best as she could throughout our stay. Facilities were a little outdated but comfortable and very clean.
We weren’t aware the hotel was part of the Golf Club, with poker machines & bar downstairs plus a restaurant on the second floor (actually a lovely restaurant with views). Although this had no impact on our stay. It was quiet and we could hear nothing from the room & we stayed on a Thursday & Friday night.

Good comfortable accommodation. Well located.
The booking confirmation indicates the correct corner address, however, the visible signage says -"the 19th" ! We came from the south and we later noticed a smaller BW sign which one "may" have noticed had we come from the north. We battled to find the BW, as not expecting different signage, although we were right there! As with a lot of companies today, amazing that the two receptionists were treating what they were doing on there PC as against focusing 1st on customers, which is what the hospitality industry "was" about. The bedroom clock could not be fixed as " there were no maintenance staff".

The apartment was clean and tidy. Rooms each had their own ensuite bathroom and were fully equipped. The staff were super friendly and looked after us well. The bar and lounge was a nice spot to relax with views over the golf course. Food was delicious and there was a good selection of beers and drinks on tap. Stayed here for my graduation ceremony with my partner and mum. Was close to the CBD, beach, and stadium. Wasn't far from the university and very convenient.
The room was a little cold but otherwise no real complaints at all

The view from the balcony of my East-facing room was wonderful... the greens of the course with the ocean so nearby! Bed was comfortable. Room was nice and quiet and full black out curtains were effective. Great dinner at the restaurant. Reception and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. On their recommendation I visited the cafe across the road was very handy for a quick takeaway breakfast - and served great coffee.
The air con seemed to be an all or nothing set up (or maybe it was the operator - in this case an instruction booklet would have helped). Not a fan of shower curtains for hygiene reasons and the floor got very wet.

Great size room & comfortable
I noticed that kitchen surfaces had crumbs and had not been cleaned thoroughly. It gave me the “icons” but we did not complain. I also noticed some unprofessional behaviour from the cleaners on level 3. They were eating very smelly food with their hands on the floor of one of the cleaning rooms early on the morning of check out. Their door was wide open. The smell was terrible. The whole set up was unprofessional. Question: where is their supervisor che Jing their work as well as their unhygienic and inappropriate food practices in such a nice hotel? It’s not a good look for customer service. The smell was offensive.

Easy to check in everything went smoothly room's were nice and clean with everything I mentioned to staff were in place .
Hard to find parking with a lot of golfers coming to play which is fine. But I think hotel needs to take consideration that people coming to stay need priority parking with especially holiday seasons we spending money on rooms and amenities maybe they need to separate golfing with overnight stays. Parking and valet would be helpful , Had my parents who are elderly come visit as they had walk far bit to reach hotel entry I'm sure they were alot elderly people who would have had some problems. And to carry bags all that way can be annoying. We don't have golf carts help carry bags like golfers and also quite dangerous as they hooning around the carpark can have accidents with pedestrians in car park.

Breakfast is not served at the hotel so we bought our own and prepared it un the unit as it had a kitchen. We were very grateful to be helped by Mary at reception on our second night. She was friendly and made us feel welcome.
The lady at check out when we left was very cold and didn't even ask the usual questions e.g. if we had enjoyed our stay or was everything ok. She just took the keys and said something like - all done. No smile or conversation and there were no other guests to be served or anyone checking out. We just commented to each other at the car - looks like she's not happy in the service.

Golf course, hotel, bar and restaurant combination and the size of the rooms. Great staff, very friendly and helpful.
1) Elevator had been broken for some time, like a month or so. Not clear why it was offline for so long. 2) The cleaning staff were very attentive at bedding changes, towels and cleaning the dishes, but oddly never vacuumed. We had found some missed cookies under a table, so we moved the table to make it obvious to see, but those items remained there during the entire 4 nights we were there. Not a show stopper, just odd. 3) The rooms are large and all white, thought they could use a decorative touch. The furniture seemed out of place given the size of the rooms, made the room look very sparse. No wall paintings or colour schemes. A tv in the bedroom would also be a great addition.
