So comfy and cosy, easy lift access, quite, nice sized king room, easy carparking access on location close to hotel door entry

It was raining and only one mat on the tiled floor of the hotel entry ( lift access entrance) and a very very slippery floor where there were no mats. A lovely cleaner lady saw us slip and nearly floor and she very quickly offered us assistance, mopped the floor and put another mat in the area but it still didn’t make the area fully safe. Those tiles need to be slip proof, just like the ones outside that door, or a big mat placed to fully cover that tiled area, to avoid an accidents on rainy days. Other than that, a very great hotel experience.

I’ve stayed at the Coniston Hotel several times and I’ll definitely keep going back. I really love the restoration/renovation of the hotel, and that every room is set out differently. The staff are friendly and helpful, and it’s great that the hotel is open late so you can check in late, or get a late night bevy. The beds are fab, the showers are hot and have strong pressure, and all the rooms have desk space to work and a chair for reading. One of the best things about this accommodation is the cleanliness. The housekeeping team are really lovely and go that next level - the room is properly clean, not just given a superficial wipe down and tidy up in the obvious places. It smells fresh. There are always ample towels, tissues, toilet paper and the like, which feels generous … like you’re being taken care of. I’m old school - I love a place with face washers too! The location works really well for me. It’s quiet, while still being literally one road into town, and there is plenty of well-lit parking on site. It’s also straight across the road from one of the express train stations to Sydney.

The bathrooms are on the small side, which doesn’t bother me for a night or two, but might be an issue for some people. I also travel with medication that needs to be kept cold. The room fridges don’t have freezer compartments, so the staff re-freeze my esky bricks each night. (I’m noticing that more and more hotel fridges don’t have freezer space.)

We booked the family room and were very impressed with the size of the room(s) it was actually two rooms with an adjoining door - perfect after staying in a horribly crowded CBD hotel the previous night (2 adults and 2 kids). The rooms were not only spacious but well equipped with a fridge and kettle, hair dryer as well as an iron & ironing board. The cleaners made the rooms up daily and did a fantastic job. We dined down stairs at the pub and the food was delicious, my young boy especially loved the spaghetti bol! I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. Lots of onsite parking and only a short drive to the beach and town centre <10 minutes. Staff on check in very friendly and accommodating. And rooms were well sound proofed (no noise from the pub below)

Absolutely loved everything. If you are looking for a view or direct beach access, not the hotel for you. But if you are looking for a relaxing holiday that doesn’t stretch the budget this ticks all the boxes.

The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with a large terrace. On the ground floor, there was a friendly atmosphere that was both family-oriented, "sporty," youthful, and suitable for all ages, depending on the time of day. I really appreciated the relaxed and welcoming vibe. The staff were very pleasant, and the meals were excellent, offering delicious Australian cuisine. The hotel is close to the train station, making it convenient to travel to the airport and Sydney, as well as to explore the coast by train.

The Wi-Fi wasn't very good in the room, but it was perfect on the terrace.

Very perfect. My family including 2 children were very satisfied. I don't speak English well, but the staff was very kind. The room was very clean, the quality of the amenities and facilities was excellent, and the interior design was very good. I loved the ornaments in the room and the pictures on the wall. The restaurant was also very good, the portions were ample and surprisingly good. I live in Sydney now and have stayed in many hotels in Australia, but this is one of the best. We were satisfied with the price, and my wife and I have already talked about staying here again when we go to the South Coast again.

Travelling with two preschoolers and an elderly parent. Great staff (Thanks Sam!!) who helped us with our shower issue by restarting the heater. Beds was comfortable, Rooms are new, huge balcony where we enjoyed our breakfast in the morning. and was surprised by the amount of refreshments provided in our room eg tea, coffee, packets of full cream milk and Tim tams very much appreciated! Had a nice seat down dinner at the bistro downstairs our room, seafood basket, Hawaiian pizza and chicken snitzel was a hit for us. Lotsa fun at the game room. Our stay in Wollongong was made memorable because of you guys at Coniston!

The hotel is modern, stylish, yet simple in design. Very comfortable and clean, reverse cycle air conditioning unit , flat screen with free to air channels, bar fridge with tea and coffee facilities in the 3 rooms that we had and very affordable for this family of 6 adults. The staff of the entire establishment are absolutely fantastic and are there to help in anyway they can. The food in the pub is great and the liquid refreshments are 2nd to none. The icing on the cake is the 3am closing time of the downstairs pub of which we did do a little test run...👍🏿

There is nothing not to like.

Coniston Hotel is a beautiful hotel and amazing value for money. The staff were so friendly. They helped us work out public transport system. The train station is right across the road which is super convenient but also quiet and safe. The room was very clean and comfortable and stylish. The meals were delicious and very reasonably priced. There is plenty of safe parking available. Being able to check in late without any hassles is good. I would be happy to stay there again.

On our arrival the staff member was very friendly and helpful. We really loved the accommodation and how clean and spacious the room was. The room had a fresh look, beautiful lighting and well appointed. Even provided a sweet treat in our room to enjoy with our tea and coffee. Even though the accommodation is attached to a hotel, we had a very sound sleep and were not disturbed at all. We were very happy with our stay here and would highly recommend, even as a family of 3, we had plenty of room. The accommodation is very close to a local bakery which is well worth a visit!

We loved everything!

We had an overnight stay here and enjoyed every aspect of it. Our room was modern, clean and comfortable and we didn’t hear noise from the restaurant below. We had a nice meal in the bistro which is obviously popular as it was very busy. Parking was easy, check in guy was helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to travellers.
