Loved the little fenced garden at the back for pets, however sliding door could not be locked leaving a gap for small dogs to go inside and out, (chain to short) but otherwise really fantastic stay. Fenced area fence is quite low so if you have a big dog next door could easily jump the fence into your area - just a note for small dog owners. Overiding those 2 factors, it is extremely rare and valuable to have your own fenced grassed area. Beautiful clean room, comfortable bed, easy parking, RSL with fantastic Asian and Australian cuisine directly across the road. Easy check in and out. Very surprised and would stay again.

Sliding door latch could have been a tad longer allowing smaller dogs access to outside during the nights instead of leaving sliding door open. Fence a little low to feel safe should you have a big over friendly dog next door

The best pet friendly motel I have stayed at recently. Very convenient to shops, coffee shops, headlands and beach walks. Love the separate back yards for the dogs and the rooms are clean, immaculate and well fitted out with essential cutlery, cups, glasses and plates to make your stay economical and comfortable with woolies just 5 mins away. We unfortunately didn’t get to eat at the Diggers club accross the road, but will next time - we will be back for sure!

road noise in pet friendly rooms at front not ideal, but simply shut the sliding door and turn aircon on for a peaceful nights sleep!

1. Motel Standard much better than others - pleasantly surprised - value-for-$, v comfortable + spacious + sofa set provided 2. Lots of space for luggage + items (a long table) 3. Utensils well -kept with even a cutting knife in a container 4. Jasmine plants v fragrant~ front + back of motel room 5. Area provided near room for outdoor meals 6. Quiet surroundings 7. Different bottles of body wash + shampoo + conditioner in shower area - nice fragrance

Absolutely everything! Would highly recommend this one to all pet loving travelers. The fur babies were able to go out and in whenever they needed or wanted to.. much easier for the pawents when we are exhausted from the road trip.. the facilities are beautiful and clean. The room is a great size, didn’t feel cramped. The pups slept well on their own beds with plenty of room for their bedding on floor.. no problem with tripping or squeezing around them… love how they provided water bowls, poo bags etc. Will definitely be back!

Loved being able to have our dog stay with us. It was also great meeting the "neighbours" aka other guests and their dogs. Nice and close to places to eat. Nice clean pool and neat grounds. I like the 2 or more nights discount, pleasant surprise.

Needed a spare roll of toilet paper in the cupboard and it would of been nice to have the sugar and coffee replaced daily. Or at least a knock on the door or a note so we could communicate any needs we had. And the rubbish bin needs to be emptied daily, we had ants crawling around it. Otherwise a great place to stay.

Large spacious room, parking in front of room. Self check in and out (no staff). Shared backyard with friendly wildlife. Club across the road with all facilities. Felt safe and secure.

Slightly out of the main town and beach but easy enough to stroll too. There are no windows out the front or peephole. There is only windows/glass door at the rear. Couldn’t swim in pool. Pool had wild ducks in it and they had pooped throughout the pool. TIP - this can be managed with a product called “duck off”.

Was a brief stay but a pleasant one. Got in late and left pretty early the next day but the motel was located close to an RSL so we could dine out easily after a long drive. It is located in a pretty seaside town and not far from some nice places for breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable. Didn't rate staff as we didn't see them, self check in and key collection.

Was a little dated but the spaciousness of the room made up for that.

We liked the location, we especially liked how everything was provided, eg crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster and kettle, so we could self cater for breakfast etc. The spacious rooms and the new refurbishments. We found the self check in easy and efficient. Ample parking Quiet at night despite being close to the road. We have stayed on several occasions over the years.

For us, the bed in room 11 was too soft. We realised this is what happens with pillow tops. We stayed in room 14 on the way back and the bed seemed to be a little better for us, but an indentation was beginning to show and be felt. We realise it is difficult to please everyone. We just wish the old inner spring mattresses without pillow tops were used. Pillow tops are hot and don't wear as well.

We just loved that our gorgeous golden retriever Loki was able to stay with us in the room and that he was welcomed by the manager who took the time to show me on the local tourist map where we could eat dinner at the golf club that night and breakfast at a great cafe the next morning with our dog then walk the board walk by the Nambucca River to the Beach the next morning. It was the perfect stopover place for us to stay between Canberra and the Gold Coast with our dog. Thank you🐕🥳

Great location, very spacious , clean & comfortable.

The motel’s website specifies one parking space per unit but the spaces are unnumbered. Unfortunately some guests ignored this rule resulting in us and another guest having to park some distance away across the street and haul our luggage to the room in the rain. Perhaps a reminder of the one space per room in the motel’s welcome SMS might be useful. It’s our only criticism of an otherwise excellent motel.
