Great central location, staff really friendly Extension leads in the room great touch Key to fob in and out of building and rooms so secure. One of the showers looked like it had recently been redecorated which was nice.

Toilet and showers are in like an outhouse type building only 2 working at the time I stayed one a bit dated the other seemed a little more modern Pool not filled when I was there would have been nice to use and know it wasn’t working before arrival. Not really super clean lots of old cobwebs and a bit run down in the rooms.

Matt & Anna were very helpful & friendly. The room was comfortable & the heater was appreciated on the cold Alice Springs nights. The cleaning staff did a great job. The kitchen was well equipped & has a spacious seating area. The location was very central & security was great.

Toilets could with a hand drier to reduce paper waste. The laundry trough & kitchen sinks need plugs attached on chains so they will remain there. We couldn't see any instructions for the washing machines but we only had an amount suitable for hand washing.

I liked the beds they was comfortable, the pool was nice and was good there was laundry facilities. The kitchen and lounge was clean and plenty space. Staff was friendly

Cobwebs on the ceiling in the dorm room with spiders on them. No electric points by beds… an extension lead for 8 beds not adequate. The shower room needs a good scrub and the air freshener in there could do with a dust and a new freshener put in.

Very clean and cosy hostel. The staff are very keen to make sure you have the best experience possible. About booking shuttles to the airport or even booking trips. The rooms are clean and have plenty of space. There are plenty of opportunities to chill outside, whether in a hanging chair or by the pool. There are also free pancakes twice a week. The individual bathrooms are also very good. The location of the hostel is also great - 10 minutes walk to the supermarket or even to the sunset spots.  Also, there was plenty of space in the fridge.

Partly the pavement is swept on the street at 6:30am, which can be noisy.

Comfortable hostel, the front desk closes really early so make sure you know everything you need to get in if arriving after 5 or 6pm. Didn't spot the lockbox at first and had to ask a guest through the secure fencing! I had not read all the info in the long email lower down the page so missed the advice about safe car parking; make sure you pre-arrange this with the hostel as the area immediately outside isn't recommended for overnight cars. Otherwise comfortable rooms, clean well equipped kitchen, nice pool.

Staff unavailable after 5 or 6 pm (forget which but it was early!).

We loved the kitchen, super furnished and spacious. Very comfy common area with sofas and chairs. Lots of movies and books available. We had an open air movie night with a projector that was super cosy. Little swimming pool but so refreshing! Great and cold tap water to refill your own bottle. Cheap (cheaper than usual) laundry machines. Good location for a walk to the botanical garden and the anzac hill. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Washing soap for dishes is mixed with too much water.

The air conditioning was poor. Things were old and some in need of repair. It advertised a movie shown every night but turns out only in the busy season. Manager was very helpful. He booked a tour for us and brought us a fan. The location is right in the middle of town is close to restaurants and shopping.

The pressure of the shower depending on the shower room, the number of power sockets in the room, wet shared fridge, uncomfortable mattress

The location was perfect, right in the city and a short walk to cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, and other shops. The amenities at YHA was clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful with travel recommendations.

The lighting in the room was either too bright or too dim and the switches weren't convenient. The heating wasn't turned on at night so it was a little chilly but bearable.

The staff Is very nice, the location great and the room very comfortable. I liked the common areas including the outdoor cinema. Awesome kitchen and laundry facilities too. I will definitely go back!

The room was great but maybe walls are not the thickest ones and I had very noisy neighbours, despite YHA's invite to silence and respect after 10 am. This is, however, not the structure's fault.
