We chose The Brook because it had a restaurant & bar, free parking & had a high-rating, plus only 20mins from the airport. We were pleasantly surprised at how modern it was! From the outside it doesn't look like much, but the minute you walk in, WOW!!! Love the vibrancy, colours & textures used throughout! Bonuses - Sports-bar, Gaming area, kids indoor & outdoor areas, spacious 1bdrm apartment with complimentary chocolates & personalised welcome card, awesome menu selection of delicious food & drinks, plus discount vouchers on drink / food. Easy check-in & out! Will definitely stay here again!

i loved the room i stayed in - it was way nicer than i even expected, breakfast included was such a bonus, the staff were so so lovely, prime location to where i work and close to city central :)

i did have a person come banging on my door at 3am as a noise complaint for having a shower? they kept pounding on the door when i was in the shower so i quickly jumped out in my towel to see what was wrong and apologised but was genuinely confused what i was even apologising for. this had nothing to do with the property but weird that it happened i didn’t think a shower would be loud.

We unfortunately had to leave too early to try the breakfast but with the dinner that we had it was exceptional and we’re very disappointed that we couldn’t hang around and try the breakfast. Highly recommend this to others. The staff in the hotel and in the restaurant were wonderful and happy. This makes for a wonderful experience.

Very small this was an exceptional location staff for wonderful with a small oversight of a set of cakes still in the freezer from the previous people staying there. This did not impact on our stay and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. We would recommend to others.

Great value, very convenient for party shopping and you could join in the pub atmosphere or retire to the quiet of the lobby or your room. Funky decor and very friendly staff. We appreciated the inclusion of a very adequate continental breakfast (nice fruit 🍇) missed the yoghurt on morning two as staff were super busy with a Mother’s Day breakfast. Loved the 24 hour access to the gym and laundry plus chilled water.

There was a limited supply of tea in the room and although there was access to more in the board room it was occupied for an event on our second evening and couldn’t top up as reception was closed.

This was my second stay here and it has become my favourite when in Brisbane now. I usually stay at South Bank for the location but I have found The Brook to be so friendly and easy I’m going to keep coming back. The parking, while not under cover, is so easy, close and free - much better than navigating layers of underground parking and paying a lot for it. The pub/restaurant attached is perfect at the end of the day and for the free breakfast in the morning - it’s not much but a nice way to start the day. The hotel and rooms are new, clean and very comfortable. Room service is free and the waiters just bring up your order as if you were in the restaurant - perfect! The best feature though, and main draw card, is the staff. They are all so welcoming, friendly and helpful. They make me feel very at home there and nothing is too much trouble. This is why I will keep going back!

Would love softer pillows but I’m very picky about them

Large family room with excellent breakfast included in room rate. The beds were very comfortable and we slept really well. It was good our teenage boys had a bed each, too - saved us an argument! There is plenty of free onsite parking, too. We'd just come off a flight from Manchester UK, so we went straight to bed, but otherwise we would have used our drink vouchers for a drink in the bar. The Brook was easy to find with the beautiful big fig tree covered in fairy lights. We are vegetarian, and one of us also has coeliac disease. The Brook provided excellent breakfasts for all of us, including the GF vegetarian one.

Nothing. We were a bit worried about the noise from the bar when we arrived (it was busy as they were showing the Olympics opening ceremony), but as soon as we got to our room we couldn't hear any outside noise at all.

Location was good for where I was going to do some work. Hotel was good and everything was good.

The hotel had a weird term whereby we had to sign that if we smoked or the room was not in order they can charge us unto $4000+ but they were not willing to have a staff to come into the room to check that everything is order before we check out. We wanted to make sure a staff comes in to the room just before we exit the room to make sure. Our flight was early morning 7.00am. If they can't provide a staff to the time we check out, we shouldn't have to sign for it.

Great location. Beds really comfortable and rooms really quiet. Continental breakfast included in price was delish and unexpected. Parking was good, could park outside or in the hotel carpark for guests. We just parked outside. Location was good. Mall just across the carpark. Large liquor outlet next door. Great Restaurant and bar onsite. 10% discount when charging back to room. Lots of walking/bike tracks nearby. Clean and tidy. Place was busy most of the time from mid morning till closing and food etc super quick, lots of variety and reasonable. Great place to stay.

Didn't tell us about 10% discount in restaurant on check in. Saw it advertised in lobby...but apart from that the service was great.

Love the fit out and design of this property. Feels very luxe for the price point. Room service is quick and food is always hot. Housekeeping are super friendly in the hallways and nothing is a bother. Music on the tv and all the mood lighting set on check in are very nice touches that most hotels forget.

The headboard shakes when the neighbouring room slams their door. Must be an air displacement issue but it’s happened in a few queen rooms over my stays. Strange and the only let down to an otherwise fab hotel.
