The location was great for what we needed. We had a lovely city and river view from our room. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean (aside the vent). Free parking at the property was good, but was a little confusing working out which spots could and could not be used. The pool and spa were nice. The bond was returned to us very quickly.

The bathroom was more dated and different to the ones in the photos, I note the check in information said about renovations but they are old dates unsure if maybe the renovations are still ongoing or not. The vent in the entry to the room was also quite visibly mouldy. In all honesty considering the price it would’ve been good to know what the bathroom looked like. I hope they’re being updated still as would definitely consider staying again.

The property was great and all staff were great until the last day Ella who was on the front desk was extremely rude when asked a question not welcoming or helpful short answers and grumpy rude when asked about extending parking time. The other 2 ladies on Friday and Saturday I spoke with at front desk were very good and lovely welcoming and helpful, sorry I didn’t get their names.

It was right next door to the Mater private hospital. From the hospital we could access the Mater Hill train station. At the bottom of the hill on Vulture st we could access the train station where we could go into the city and also directly to and from the airport. Woolworths was also located at the train station. From this location also we could walk to Southbank.

The only cooking facility was a microwave., but we managed with microwave meals.

We’ve stayed here many times as it’s close to the children’s hospital. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, facilities are great and most rooms are clean and comfortable.

This time around the bathroom was very outdated, shower head was leaking and broken and didn’t seem very clean. The only other complaint is the noise from this particular room. Could hear our neighbours clear as day watching a movie until 1am and traffic noise. But I’m saying that not all rooms are like this!

Neighbours next door were yelling all night till 12.30am and then signing loudly till 1.30am meant we could not get sleep and my niece had already spent the day at the children’s hospital and back the next day for more appointments made for a long day due to no sleep from neighbours being so inconsiderate.

The room was nice and clean. Convenient location. It's a shame the restaurant is closed. One staff member was very helpful and she even called us the next day as the cleaners had found an earring. It's easy to get in and out of the building at night. A pleasant stay.

The mattress of the single bed needed an upgrade as it was saggy.

Ater I booked on Hotel.com a twin roon, I was charged a further $15 for twin beds, The Hotels.com site showed the rate for a twin room, and I was somewhat unhappy with the further charge.

Location to Mater Private Hospital

Renovations being done. I understand it is necessity just unfortunate that it was when we were staying & sleep wasn’t at a premium so wanted it whenever we could get it & with work being done we didn’t always have that opportunity.

Friendly and efficient service at check-in and check out. Lifts are large and quick. Room was clean and comfortable. Shower was great with plenty of pressure and flow. Plenty of outdoor carparks which is handy if you have a high vehicle. Underground is also available, although most parks are reserved.

Room is showing its age. Some of the fixtures and appliances had been knocked around and/or really needed replacing (e.g. wonky bedside lamps and a crappy iron and ironing board). However none of these issues really affected our stay.

Great location, short walk to South Bank. Clean and comfortable room. Staff were accommodating and very helpful with my needs. I would stay again

Room could have done with more accessible power plugs. All were taken with other appliances/lights.
