The River Plaza apartments are in a great location with fabulous views of the river and city. It’s right next to the Goodwill Bridge and Maritime Museum ferry terminal so very easy to get about. The walk out to Kangaroo Point is lovely and you are also really close to Streets Beach and Southbank Parklands. There’s a great selection of shops and restaurants close by too. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped. Although the decor is a bit dated, the apartment was very clean and functional. Great balcony looking out over the river to catch sunrise and sunset. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, they were extremely helpful when we wanted to make changes to our booking.

An incredible two night stay. Reception were super helpful and friendly, couldn't fault them. The room was well maintained and very clean with air-conditioning in the living room and master bedroom. There were also small products of everything needed, I.e shampoo, conditioner, body wash, washing powder, dishwasher powder and washing up liquid. It is a very secure building with fob-only access on the main building doors, lifts and room door. Any residents who we saw who live there long-term were also very friendly, always smiling and saying hello. The views of the river and city are absolutely breathtaking, cannot be beaten.

The only problem we ran into was the luggage storage after check-out. We had quite a late night flight but luggage needed to be collected before 3pm as reception is not actively open after that time. This is a very minor problem considering the many, many pros of staying here. There are also cheap rentable storage spaces for luggage not too far from here which are easily booked online, so this should not put anyone off.

Awesome location and beautiful views of the river and city especially at night. Close to train station, ferries and pedestrian bridge to city. Southbank has a market at the weekends which is well worth looking at. Spacious rooms, very clean.

The front doors were closed on arrival and we had to be let in. Reception wasn't open all the time but there was a number to ring and staff were very responsive.

Our 2 bedroom apartment was on level 13 - the most amazing view ever!!! And such a fantastic location for exploring Southbank, close to the train station and walkways. Very spacious, comfy beds and quiet. Also loved having aircon in each room.

The apartment itself was a little dated, didn't really matter because we spent all our time looking at the view. A couple of things to make self-catering easier would have topped it all off (more dishwashing liquid, salt and pepper etc). The kids were disappointed with the pool, much smaller than the photos make it look.

Good bathroom/laundry and kitchen. The view is stunning day and especially at night. The location is excellent.

This apartment could be so much better with a bit of money spent. When you walk in the living is very stark. A 3 seater leather lounge, a TV and table & chairs. It could do with a coffee table and floor rug. The bedroom has 2 side tables but only 1 lamp. The wardrobe had only 3 coat hangers.

Amazing location! Super close to Southbank & city, walk everywhere. The view from the room over the river was spectacular. Easy & helpful after hours check in process.

The photos on the booking are a little deceiving. The photos show a large apartment with a kitchenette & bit of living space. The apartment we got was a bedsit, basically a room with bed, table, small fridge, microwave, kettle. Small & pokey. It was okay for our needs of the stay, but I would not have wanted to stay longer in an apartment that small size.

Location and views exceptional, looking up the Brisbane River with South Bank on the left and the CBD on the right, the night view was one to remember, jetty for ferry across the road and a 5 mimute walk to Southbank, Brisbane. 2 bedroom unit was a good size, having option for secure parking was great, pool area nice but didn't use as it was winter. Had a full room service on the 4th day.

Kitchen equipment barely adequate, frypan I would throw out and no lid which made cooking eggs difficult. Not a sharp knife in the place they were so blunt didn't cut a tomato or lemom. But major problem was the seating in lounge area, a futon 2.5 seater which was very low no side arms to help get up and that was it for a 2 bedroom Unit, we were 3 people and spent 8 days sitting on dining chairs which isn't ideal. This spoilt our holiday causing back problems. Pull out pantry had no shelves or baskets so groceries had to go on bench.

Situated in a great spot only walking distance from south bank restaurants and water park. The view from the balcony was absolutely spectacular looking along the river and over to the city. Very spacious apartment with 2 separate bathrooms so we didn’t have to share with the kids. Tennis court was fun and we were supplied with rackets and tennis balls. Unfortunately weren’t able to use the bbq and pool area as it was getting renovations done

The exhaust fan runs 24/7 from both bathrooms and it’s like having a loud fan running all the time but was told it’s connected to all the apartments

The view. Overall we loved the place. Safe and secure and clean with all amenities provided. Ideally located and really good arrangements for after hours check in accommodated at no additional cost. We had a really good stay.

Just suggestions for improvement. Given that it was cold a few blankets would have been great. For 3 nights needed at least some more bathing soap. Add a proper hand towel also with a dish rack and hand soap if possible. The place is very secure, however a bit more secure locking of the room would be good for added assurance. The additional sofa for a 3rd person was okay, but the mattress needs to be changed. The lighting in the room should also be such that you can live one dim light on in the kitchen area. 1 switch connected to 2 lights so had to keep all turned on.

The apartment was beautiful, modern, neat, clean, recently renovated, and a pleasure to stay in. The view was amazing, and the area offered vibrant nightlife and easy access to all parts of the city. Despite check-in issues, the overall experience was very enjoyable, and I would happily stay here again.

Accessing the property was problematic. There was no staff on site, the key locker at the reception had no accessible door, and the listed phone number went unanswered. We had to call an emergency number to gain access, but the code we received was incorrect. It took about 30 minutes to get the correct code and open the locker. For a smoother experience, I suggest that Booking.com and the property management align their check-in information better. The after-hours check-in process needs improvement; access to the locker from outside the building would be more convenient. Additionally, the advertisement states weekend after-hours start at 5 pm, but there was no staff available at 2 pm when we arrived.
