Location - it was right in the heart of everything. Nice facilities, easy access, had everything you needed without being over the top of inconvenient in any way. Free wifi was great, pools were nice, place was nice and clean. I also really like the way they have a night manager (Scotty) available after hours for check in and monitoring the facilities at night. Very convenient, given that most places will just have you call a number and then send you on a hunt for a key somewhere.

Not much - just a bit noisy (I had a room facing the street so would hear movement outside and the gate opening and shutting at night). That said, it was pretty quiet overall (I stayed mid-week for work).

The apartment was very clean and bright, with a small but pleasant balcony. I especially liked the fact it had both a mesh and glass sliding door, so if you wanted more air in the room without bugs, that was an option! I liked that it was really close to the station (I arrived by train and then did the Kuranda Scenic Railway) and also the shopping centre with supermarkets. The bed was comfortable to sleep in as well. I didn't use many of the other amenities, such as the pools, but they looked very nice.

When I arrived, either the intercom or the phone at the entrance gate (I can't remember what was there) was out of service, and I couldn't make calls to Australian numbers from my phone. Luckily another guest was entering and let me in, where I could make my way to the reception where there was another phone which called the night manager who came to give me my keys. My stay was a few weeks ago now, so I'm sure this issue has now been fixed, but it was a little stressful at the time to be in a strange city by myself with no way to contact the hotel.

Quite spacious apartment, with a comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchen. It is virtually next door to Cairns Central Shopping Centre which makes access to two large supermarkets 5 - 10 mins away. The Esplanade in Cairns is only a 12 -15 minute stroll away. There are also three pools - one heated.

Brighter light over the working desk. Only one reading light. Noise in the car park - it's Far North Qld so some of the tradies liked to stand around the front of their cars in the car park with a beer (or two) and chat (loudly). It's amazing how far the noise travels at night. The wall are pretty well soundproofed, but the ceiling not so much ; I could hear every footstep, every chair scrape......

Good location, close to Cairns central, bars restaurants etc all around. Nice pool areas, rooms a but dated but sufficient.

Room wasn't serviced at all during my 4 day stay, 1 tiny bottle of shampoo/shower gel, ground floor apartment looked onto a wall and noisy loading dock of business next door

We had a nice studio apartment over looking the pool, just what we were looking for. The room was well equipped and had enough appliances and utensils for us to prepare breakfast, lunches and dinners during our stay. Lots of convenient services close by (a short walk to Cairns Central shopping centre, cafe's, night markets, the esplanade, and the Kuranda train station - Great location)

Well, you can't please everyone.. But the bathroom didn't have an exhaust fan, and the kitchen didn't have a rangehood for the stove top. Which was interesting, but maybe not all that important, because the room was never really humid. Aside from that can't really complain!

This place was amazing. The staff were so lovely and helpful, the multiple pools were amazing and the rooms were a great size with comfortable beds. We came here in the middle of summer and a heatwave and it was so cool and refreshing in the rooms which was fantastic. So conveniently close to the shops and not too far from everything else.

The only thing I would say & the reason I gave 9 instead of 10 stars was because of the way you buzz into the rooms. It was a bit tricky to find the exact spot to buzz but the longer I stayed the better I got at doing it.

The location is excellent. Easy walk to supermarket, the esplanade and the train station. The kitchen had all that was needed. Lovely to be able to walk out of the apartment to the pool area.

It was near impossible to have a sleep in due to the regular loud morning noise. This was made worse by the apartment we were in being right next to a communal eating area and the cleaners hang out spot. The cleaners' trollies made the most noise - have they considered rubber wheels which would make less noise. Back and forward every morning outside our room. 8am was deemed the best time to sand the table outside our room and the leaf blower was used at 7am. The train horn will sound at 8.30am but the cleaners will have you awake before then.

The room wasn't particularly large, but the space was well-organized and cozy. It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location is convenient, being just a short walk from the shopping center and within easy walking distance to the city center. The room was clean. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a well-located and clean place to stay.

The only downside was the noise. Whenever someone in the neighboring room flushed the toilet, I could hear a strange noise in my room, almost like someone was shaking the door handle. The balcony faced the car park, and I was woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of cars leaving the parking area.

the fridge in room 1137 may need servicing or replacing. Ice cream left in the small freezer portion melted. Frozen vegetables could not be kept frozen for more than a few days. For people staying for more than a few days a better fridge may be a consideration.

The room and apartment block had everything you needed. It had a good size room and bathroom.

The WiFi was very weak and kept cutting out and I also had no mobile reception in my room so it made it very difficult to work. My TV turned off about 40-50 times during my stay in the day time, yet kept turning on multiple times in the middle of the night waking me up. The large bed was just two singles pushed together, but without any proper padding between them so it made it quite uncomfortable to lay on. You may as well just book a single bed.
