Location is fantastic. We had a room facing the pool. This was facing away from the main road so nice and quiet. Pool and BBQ facilities great. Comfortable sleeper couch and bed. AC is in living room so you have to run on higher fan settings to reach the bedroom - still effective. Washing machine and dryer in bathroom. Staff were super friendly.

Hotel has a lot of potential. With a bit more TLC I would have given it 5 stars. Self catering but kitchen and kitchenware could have been cleaner. I washed the kitchenware before use to get rid of previous usage grease and food stains. Microwave still smelled like curry.

The location was just perfect.

The ground floor apartment that we had was in the little far corner of the building with no view at all of anything . Considering it is the highest costing room in the building, it was a little disappointing. We would love to stay here again but in a lower cost apartment , with may be some sort of view, even if the apartment is not as modern . Photos of the view from our apartment glass door are attached. The photos on bookings.com are a little deceiving, they look like every apartment has a view of some sort. It’s just seems that the most expensive apartment has the worst position with no view .

Great location and good facilities for a reasonable price. Good carparking. The rooms over the road are quite noisy, so pay the extra and get a poolview room. (I thought we did) Property is a bit dated but furniture is clean and comfortable enough. Jammed glass door to the balcony was fixed quickly. Good to have a washer and dryer. Pool was an excellent temperature. It could use a few more loungers.

The units should be tiled instead of carpet. Even though the carpet was new, it felt tacky due to the Cairns humidity and was not nice in bare feet - always used slippers. The shower over the bathtub is a safety risk. A walk-in shower is much safer. The bathroom should have an exhaust fan as it gets incredibly hot and wet if the clothes dryer is used. And you can leave the bathroom door open in case it sets off the fire alarm.

Great location. Very central to everything. Easy walking to night markets and the esplanade. Kitchen for self catering. Even though it was very central because the bedroom was in the middle of the apartment you couldn’t hear any outside noise. Due to the cement building no wifi was available in the room. You can apparently get it In other areas but not in our room. Free parking. Pretty rare these days. Felt safe with the key/ fob access. Very reasonably price for a self contained apartment in its location with free parking. Washer and dryer as well. Overall a great stay.

Location, Location, Location! It was right in the center of downtown, but you would not notice when you get inside. All the restaurants were within a 10 minute walk. The touring venues to the reef great barrier reef were good too. The showers were fantastic. The grocery store too was very close. The location itself had lots of power outlets to keep our mobile charged, especially in the bedroom where so many places have none! The TV's had spare HDMI ports that could be selected by the remote. The staff was responsive to all my emails though booking.com to address my needs for parking and room amenities.

the clothes washer had only temperature hot. which was not good for some of our clothes. there should be instruction on how to operate the dryer and the washer (the first time I did the wash it too over 3 hours just to wash the clothes). Then the dry would not stay on or get warm or hot to dry the clothes.

The room I was in had been refurbished (room 9), it was very modern, nice big tv’s in the lounge and bedroom, bathroom was great and the laundry appliances were easy to use and great to see a separate washer and dryer (I hate those combo one’s that take 4 hrs to do 1 load) The kitchen was very well equipped, easy to cook. Ducted air conditioning and ceiling fans. The bed was extremely comfortable. Walking distance to the esplanade and a huge variety of food options close by. The night markets are right next door. Staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful and genuinely happy to see you. Very secure building with swipe entry after 4pm and swipe elevator. My room was on the pool side so it wasn’t extremely noisy with road noise (I visited my friends who were in a room on the street side and it was extremely noisy) A very positive experience here. Could do with better pillows.

We stayed in one of the suites. Exceeded our expectations. The suite had direct access to the pool level and was equipped throughout with good quality technology. Once we figured out how to utilize the buttons it was an absolute breeze. My partner's favourite thing was the futuristic toilet (had a bidet, self flushes AND cleans once it detects 10seconds of you no longer seating). Bed was super soft and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped with utensils and cuttlery. Coffee pod machine which we used every day (free pods to use along with free coffee, sugar and tea, and milk). Washing machine and dryer equiped in toilet/bath area which also came with free washing powder and toiletries. Suite has a beautiful modern layout and is absolutely convenient with space and storage throughout from bedroom to kitchen/lounge. Housekeeper came every day to check if we needed any additional items (fresh towels, etc.). Secured car park inside if requested. Elevator access and easy instructions to follow when checking in/out, how to get to room, where to park car, etc. Great location as it is very close to the esplande (right around the corner - very short walking distance). Access to many shops and food options. Wonderful, super friendly staff. Could not have asked for a better experience! Loved our stay and wish we actually booked longer. Highly recommened!

Great location to everything. Stayed in the executive suite which was lovely. Very nice and comfortable. The reception staff were very helpful. It was next to the night markets which you could walk thru to the boulevard. Cairns central was a few blocks over and was an easy 15min walk, where you can access the Shopping center, Scenic train or the greyhound bus which I booked to go to mission beach and back in a day.

That the reception closes at 4pm on Monday to Friday and 12pm on Saturday, Sunday and public holiday. I assisted quite a few overseas visitors who were stranded outside. Reception needs to make it very clear what to do after hours with entering the building using their key.. I checked in after hours and you need to ring a number or push an intercom buzzer then they give you a code for a mail box on the otherside of the driveway where you will find an envelope with your name on it. Inside the envelope is your keys and welcome letter. I think they should text you a code on the day of arrival.

Il Palazzo is in a great location, only a few minutes drive from the airport. It's close to the the Aquarium, Museum and the Night Market. The apartment that we were allocated (No 12) was right next to the pool which was great for an early morning / late evening swim. There's also a barbecue area which you can use if you wish. The room was clean and functional with a kitchen area that fitted our needs. We were out and about quite early most days so didn't do the whole breakfast thing, just grabbed some toast before we headed off. There is a microwave, cooker, toaster and kettle etc with enough cutlery /crockery for 4 people.
