Pricey, but excellent hotel. Location is superb, in the middle of everything, 7 min walk from GBR fleet port. The hotel itself has a "living room" with a commercial coffee machine that we could make an excellent coffee for free. Juan at the reception was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was friendly and attentive. All things considered, this was the best hotel in our 3-week Australian trip through the East Coast. The room was clean and well stocked with everything you'd need in a hotel.

No parking, but there were a lot of street parking places around, you just need to look for it.

Location to Esplanade and Peir Waterfront. The layout of the hotel was great with beautiful photos of the far north turned into large wall hanging pictures with descriptions. The lounge, dinning area had an ice machine and a stunning coffee machine with everything teac, coffee pods, biscuits and bottles of water. Even upon checking in there were complimentary Mentos sweets, just a little gesture, but really good. Extended our stay because it was so good, excellent room and very clean.

The air-conditioning was not working at 100% but ok with just a sheet while sleeping.

Great location, spacious comfortable modern room, great pillows, ample tea and coffee in the room, lounge with coffee machine, free modern laundry facilities, and lovely art on the walls throughout. Great value for money. And special mention to the guy at reception who was wonderful; welcoming, informative, and really helpful with a couple of requests we had - best hotel receptionist I've encountered. I absolutely would stay here again.

Minor: Only thing was the shower head was fixed to the wall and sprayed / splayed, meaning trying to shower without getting your hair wet was difficult. But that was literally it - I would definitely stay here again.

Really nice and helpful staff, they even let me check in early. They helped me book a taxi for early morning as well which was reassuring. Also checked where I was going each day which was a nice safety touch. The room was nice, and for the pricing, quite large. Good airconditining as well. It was great having access to the coffee machine in the general area too at anytime.

The reception area is not always manned (even on the times stipulated). It's also worth mentioning the hotel is right next to Orchid Mall and near the sea front esplanade which is great for convenience but also attracts a few homeless people. As a solo female traveller, just be a bit cautious after dusk, and this is obviously nothing to do with the hotel itself.

Location was great, 5 minutes to everything within the city centre and the Marina. Laundry facilities - washer and dryer. Coffee and water facilities and a coffee lounge/eating area. Room was clean and had air conditioning. The tv had apps so I could log into Netflix with my own account which was great. The Owner/ Manager was very helpful and went above expectations to make my stay better. Rooms are serviced every two days. Free water in fridge. Luggage space. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It's not 24hr reception as the facilities don't require that.

There isn't much to complain about. This hotel doesn't have a gym or pool but it is conveniently located close to everything.

I love this hotel. The staff are flexible and friendly. My flight arrival was early in the mornig but they accepted early check-in. I was so grateful for it because I was so tired. Besides, this hotel is clean and beautiful. You can enjoy beautiful drawings about great barrier reef or Cains in your room or corridors. And the room interior is also nice and I like it. The last reason I recommend is near supermarket called WoolWorth and you can buy anything there. It was really convenient during the stay. I promise your stay is going to be perfect.

Spotlessly clean, amazing staff and beautiful rooms with the most amazing shower and comfortable bed. They really go above and beyond to make your stay a great experience. Toiletries were very nice and so many little complimentary extras like bottle of wine, free use of laundry facilities with detergent supplied, the guest lounge with coffee making facilities and biscuits etc really just goes the extra mile for guests. The staff and management should be exceptionally proud of the quality of service and accomodation they provide.

Loved absolutely everything.

We were very satisfied with our 5-night, 6-day stay at this Hotel. Since our flight arrived early in the morning, the hotel thoughtfully sent us an email in advance with the door code. They also provided complimentary coffee and refreshments, which helped ease our travel fatigue and made us feel warmly welcomed. The room was very clean, well-equipped, and even had a kitchen for simple cooking. It felt cozier than a typical hotel.

Although it was slightly noisy at night due to being in the CBD area, the location was very convenient for transportation.

We went to Abbot Boutique for our honeymoon, it was excellent! A prime location where every place is a 5 minute walk, the rooms were outstanding with two queen size beds, 65 inch tv, a mini fridge and a big restroom! They also had an amazing coffee machine at the lounge, the house keeping were outstanding and the receptionists were very warm and friendly. They also gifted me a complimentary champagne as a lovely gesture for my honeymoon. I rate this beauty 100/10 and would come here everytime I visit Cairns.

I travel through Cairns often for work, usually staying a night of 2. This hotel is perfect for my needs and exceeded my expectations. Very well located, within walking distance of just about everything you need to be close to. There is a coffee machine with complimentary coffee which is great for a business traveler and a lounge area where one can chill and relax. Will definitely be using the Abbott as my regular for these trips and recommend to my colleagues and anyone else with similar needs.

Nothing. Was perfect for my needs. There was work happening somewhere close by which caused some noise, but this is out of the control of the hotel and was not too much of a concern for me.
