The location was perfect. Close to the lagoon, shops, cafes and restaurants. And the port where we were cruising from the next day. The apartment was great and we had a cheeky upgrade so loads of space for the three of us. Would have loved to use the pool but we didn’t have time.

The air con was a bit slow to kick in and parts of the room were a little dated but the bathroom was spot on.

I was upgraded to a one bedroom apartment with views and balcony out the front. Lovely green trees to enjoy. The apartment was spacious and included a full size kitchen and bathroom with washing machine and dryer. Staff were efficient and friendly. Really enjoyed my stay of 7 nights.

There is a need to fix a couple of small issues which were handles were missing from three draws in the kitchen, no TV in the bedroom (though a bracket in there where one used to be), and perhaps look at replacing the airconditioner as the bottom has bits missing and the plastic cover is yellowed with age (it worked well though).

Very clean, they do give the supplies you need if you ask, good parking as well! When our room was cleaned once a week it was cleaned impeccably. The staff were quite nice especially the lady working day shift on the 18th of Oct who checked me out. Such good location so so close to everything and the pool was lovely as well.

I do wish they gave you more toilet paper if you’re staying for twelve days, only giving one when we asked felt like we had to ask too much, the wifi being $15 a day is something I’ve never heard of, especially for the price. Our bond is still pending a week later and we left the room how we found it. Could be a little updated TV washer and dryer wise.

Was great staying here, nice room with a little kitchen, microwave, fridge, utensils and plates so we were able to have meals in the room. Has a seperate lounge with couch and table, (although only a sliding shutter door between bedroom and lounge). Location is excellent, right on the Esplanade, 5 minutes walk across the park to the Reef ferries, 5 minutes walk to night markets and surrounded by shops plus a Woolworths supermarket behind the hotel. Free parking at hotel. Very convenient to bus stops and a 10 minute stroll to the large shopping mall and main train station. Comfy bed and very quiet but try to avoid the rooms next to the lifts, just a little noisy as they go up and down. Great staff, so helpful and friendly, Rachel was very helpful plus another young lady in the mornings, sorry we didn’t get your name. Was really good and we would definitely stay here again

Great location walk to everything! Friendly staff and clean and tidy rooms. Close to the night markets, food venues and restaurants and cafes as well as the night life for pubs and the casino! Rooms are generous sizes and while the building isn't the newest its very clean and tidy.

Only issue was the noise from the garbage man on bin day across the street at 5am otherwise other mornings were good and if you don't get a north facing unit you probably won't hear it.

The situation was ideal, the hotel was clean, and the bedroom was fine,although not having it serviced daily was a bit disappointing considering the cost. The staff were helpful and friendly

The fact that this is a tourist destination and not all tourists are Australian was being disappointed in never having any wifi during our entire stay. Every morning and evening we would inquire at reception and every time there was a negative response. Considering that simple little cafes and restuarants do not have a problem,surely it is time you invested in more up to date technology. Just as an aside, my wife was two days late in finding out her sister had died back home in Scotland because of this. Out of our 6 weeks in Aus, this was the only hotel/residence that could not supply us with WiFi. :

The Location is great the room was great I was concerned with the double room entry as I was alone but would always like a room overlooking the esplanade & wouldn't like to stay on a floor that overlooks the floor below as I was on Level 4 & could see the people below on their balcony on Level 3 but that's just me I guess. I didn't use the wifi this time but always grateful to have it. Parking is a huge advantage & something that is always a deciding factor when I choose my accommodation.

I had trouble with the power points to charge my phone & watch & didn't like having to boil the jug in the bathroom. The ones near the bed were all being used & the one near the TV & Fridge were not easily accessible.

Located on the Esplanade within a 10-minute walk of the Marina and a 20-minute walk to the train station for the train to Kuranda. We had a one-bedroom apartment with a “panoramic city view” (it was lovely to wake up to see the Woolworths shop every morning!) Seriously though, the apartment had a fully equipped kitchen, nice sitting room, bedroom with a massive comfy bed, and a bathroom with a bath and also a washing machine and drier. We had a nice balcony, although the aircon unit blew hot air at you and we found you needed to turn it off before sitting outside. The hotel had a nice, if somewhat cold, outside pool. There was a gym, which we didn’t use. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and there was an endless supply of tea and coffee available at reception.

Stayed in 1 bedroom apartment. A basic space with good balcony views of the Esplanade. A central position within walking distance to restaurants, cafes, the lagoon, galleries, city shops, etc. The hotel is very quiet & the staff are lovely. The apartment was very clean.

Some utilities missing from kitchen, e.g ice cube tray, placemats, water jug. The toaster was a small cheap plastic job. The furniture was old and outdated. The day blinds were missing leaving only the blackout blinds. However, the positives of this hotel outweigh the negatives. An icecube tray would have been handy though 😔

Close to food and amenities. Nice having cooking and washing facilities. Wifi great. The staff were excellent except for the query on the account which is still not sorted. We would stay at here again.

Not having a Television in the bedroom as our daughter used the sofa bed in the main lounge area. So there was no other comfortable sofa to sit on in the main lounge area except the dining suite to watch television. The overcharge is a big deal for us as we were charged a different price than what was quoted on booking.com and we just couldn't find anyone to help after making lots of phone calls. We are still uncertain whom we are supposed to contact to discuss this.
