Really nice hotel. Beautiful and clean rooms. I had a Arad. On the Esplanade, so you’re around everything and all of the restaurants, night markets, Ferris wheel, Esplanade pools, short walk to the pier for your boat /snorkel/dive. The rooftop bar can be a bit chilly in the morning or night in the winter, but otherwise a nice place to hang out. Since they had a cold front, I did ask for my breakfast to take to my room and was handed it with no problem. Staff was extremely friendly. My room was large, and the amenities were very nice. No mini bar, but you do have a fridge.

There is no option to have breakfast inside when it was chilly other than taking my food to go.

I loved the location and the lovely spacious room. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. I also liked the view from my room.

I didn't like having to pay a higher nightly rate after needing to extend my stay for a couple of nights. In all l ended up staying 7 nights. I also opted to have no housekeeping only fresh towels once for the duration of my stay. I do this for environmental purposes but l think this should be rewarded in some way as it must save you money as well.There certainly should be some incentive either cheaper room rates or some other appreciation. I always try to stay at Oaks hotels as l always enjoy my stay with you wherever l go.

Traveling solo with a 1yr isn't always the easiest, I was running late for check in called ahead to let the stuff know they were every welcoming, gave my daughter a colouring in set she's too young for but it's the thought that counts. the outside seating area was perfect to let her run around in to get out of the room but not have to leave the hotel. car park pass was also soo helpful.

I was not warned that the exit of the carpark downstairs out to the street would be closed and i wouldn't be able to get out after parking the car. I came back a bit after 10PM Friday and found out so had to go back up to the car and park on the street as i had the baby and everything that comes with.

This place was great. We got an ocean view room with beautiful sunrises. We were near the action but no noise. We were able to go on many day trips from here—Kuranda and the waterfall, Harley’s Crocodile Park, the Great Barrier Reef boat, Palm Cove, and walkable to many oceanside restaurants. However, our favorite restaurant was the rooftop restaurant at the hotel. The view was wonderful. Everybody got off the elevator and took a picture. At 5 pm, thousands of bats flew by for a daily show. That was very cool. We liked this hotel and Cairns so much that we stayed an extra eight days.

We couldn’t stay longer.

The room was comfortable but carpets are never a good thing nowadays. The beds are comfortable and there is ample cupboard space should you wish to unpack. The bathrooms are a great size and the toiletries provided are of excellent quality. The rooftop restaurant has a wonderful view and the staff are kind and friendly. Although the food is average, it was an easy experience. The location is excellent!

Having guests pay for extra coffee pods though was a surprise and should really be included in the room charge and daily clean. The curtains also smelled a dusty and getting to the blinds was a slight mission each night. Not an ideal set-up.

This is a very nice mid-tier hotel which is centrally located in Cairns and very close to the harbor. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. The rooms are spacious and very clean.

I was on the 3rd floor and could hear noise (chairs moving) from the rooftop bar. So this is a problem. The rooftop bar has amazing views, but the food is of low quality (close to junk food). Excellent option for drinks, unless it rains. The morning shift staff were more knowledgeable and easier to work with. Don’t expect any particular luxury. However, good value for money especially if you book last minute or directly through the hotel (don’t use booking).

This was hands down the best stay in Cairns in every aspect they ticked all the boxes. We recently stay at the Hilton and I was disgusted in everything they did they were rude the place was rundown and leaking. When we entered the Oaks we were greeted by warm friendly staff who did everything to make us feel welcome. The rooms were lovely, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast on the roof level delightful. I would say it was outstanding service and accommodation. We are locals to the area and shall be returning here whenever we come into town.

There was nothing to fault

Great siutation and location. Very close to harbour and all amenities. Importantly, also very close to the big public swimming pool (wich also means no need to have one in the hotel). Great view from the terrasse, where also breakfast was served. Good breakfast (a la carte, no buffet). At the same time not noisy, comfortable beds. Very clean!

My room did not have a proper window, just a window opposite a wall that was 50 cm in front. Light fell in via a funnel. For that reason, unable to tell what weather there is. Also, not a lot of light coming in, always needed electrical light. Also, my room rate did not include room service (which had not been so transparent to me at the time when I booked). In my case, not problem, as I only stayed for 2 nights.

Spacious, nicely furnished room and bathroom. Very well located right across the road from the big public lagoon poll. Heaps of places to eat and drink nearby including a fabulous rooftop bar/restaurant within the hotel. Very friendly guy on reception in the afternoons.

Our room on the first floor looked out on, and was adjacent to, the airconditioning units and other machinery so was affected by lound hums and other industrial noises. Wasn't enough to keep us awake just something to be aware of.
