Parking. I was upset that a paying accommodation patron had to pay additional funds for secure and undercover parking. Your free parking is shared with the club patrons and being in Gladstone vehicle left all day in the heat is not comfortable to enter. I believe accommodation paying patrons should be entitled to secure undercover parking. Also I was not happy with free parking again as their is a club on premises I witnessed New Year Eve drunken patrons damaging other vehicles in parking lot. Not impressed as a paying occupant

The buffet food provided was of high quality and variety and priced accordingly. Barista coffee was included in the Breakfast buffet package.

Payment for the restaurant for the evening buffet should be on entry, breakfast is optional I'm not sure how they keep track of everyone. The lady on reception was adamant we lock our vehicle up securely (which we did) but it left an uneasy feeling that perhaps we were staying in a bad part of town. We weren't eligible to go into the underground car parking as we were towing a vehicle that was slightly higher than the limit.

I got the phone call from the hotel , telling me that I have used the mini bar , but not paid for it . Everything that I have used ( only one beer , was paid for ) I have stayed there plenty of times , and never had any issues with them . It is a great place to stay , but calling me that I haven't paid for a packet of chips or a bottle of water was disappointing. Nonetheless this is a great place to stay when in Gladstone, next time I will just have to make sure that everything is counted properly

Breakfast staff were excellent. Really good service, great coffee and a late morning brunch from the all day breakfast menu was exceptionally high quality. Hard to beat really😎

My only gripe was no kitchen meal prep facilities in the room. Otherwise really comfortable sleeping. I did get daily noise from renovation going on but understandable. I hope once they have been finished that stays at the Mantra remain an affordable price and continue to be such good value cheers to all and well done😎

Buffet dinner and breakfast was fabulous. Food, service and ambiance was terrific. Our children of course enjoyed the buffet dessert bar & the fresh king prawns the most! 😂 Beds were comfortable and everyone loved using the rain head in the shower.

Table service for collecting of empty plates was terrific. But no one offered to bring more alcoholic beverages once they were finished. Didn't like having to get up and get more every time at the bar.

Easy check in , staff friendly and professional, rooms and all areas clean and functional

Original room was damp, a water leak ? But staff promptly changed us to another room. Cleaners perhaps need a tad more training on that issue , also cleaners check the dishwasher ,hadn't been used for awhile and smelt badly . The buffet breakfast and dinner great ,but kids allowed to serve themselves is not really hygienic.

I think the food areas need to improve and a bit too expensive. Shingle Inn we had lunch the second day and was served cold toasted sandwich was tasteless fish and chips the fish was ok chips cold

The prices in the restaurant..and bistro needs to improve especially the staff I found them to be inexperienced don’t listen found myself repeating time and time again my orders and slow especially cleaning up

Very nice place to stay comfortable very clean and the staff were great and would definitely be coming back to stay!

The only negative I have is the room service food isn’t great value for money at all. We ordered and eye fillet steak and it was definitely not an eye fillet. The sides that come with all the meals are very small too so not worth the money you pay

The staff were amazing and went beyond expectations to help us. Lawson in particular was outstanding. The staff in the bar and gaming area were also wonderful with their attitude and helpfulness.

The noise from traffic and the flies in The Shingle Inn. This was unavoidable due to the open walls but there was a taxi that sat with its motor running the majority of the time we were eating.

The restaurant was great, we ate there for both dinner and breakfast, and it was really good.

It was not until AFTER checking in and receiving the room key, that they told me the lift was broken and we would have to walk up 2 floors to our room. My dodgy knee did not like this and I would have stayed somewhere else if I had known. Friends of mine had a 93yo in the party and they put them on the 3rd floor and told them to walk up the stairs!! The lift is broken down for SIX WEEKS , not just a day or two.
