Elysian is a secluded, anti-crowded space offering serenity and tropical vibes throughout the stay. The 3-course meal that the chef meticulously crafts for every day, great attention to the staff, and relaxed neighbor guests in common areas make stay a rare experience. My goal was to unwind from busy city life and disconnect from daily routines while replenishing energy and enjoying doing nothing. Elysian was able to do so spectacularly. The hosts make the whole experience unique and energizing, with a positive mood during every interaction. They also do SPA, which is another must-do while on this resort. We didn't travel to the boat/helicopter tours, yet I've seen people coming and going on tours, and they shared that they find it an exciting addition to the stay. After Elysian, it's hard to look at a classic hotel experience if the goal is to relax, enjoy the tranquility, and truly disconnect from the hassle.
On the first night, the neighbors were listening to music that was heard within our bungalow, but it was only a brief moment, and to our luck - they departed the next day :)

This gem of a retreat was exactly what me and my husband needed after a rough year. We stayed in December at the height of the wet season. It rained at various levels 3 out of the 4 days we were there but that did not affect our experience in the least. I believe it added to it. Soon after arriving I booked not 1 but 2 spa sessions; a massage and the next day a salt scrub. I felt so rejuvenated! One should not miss out on the spa experience. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. I even did Yoga every morning because Eva made it enjoyable and I don't do Yoga. The rooms were very clean, well stocked (drinks, bug spray, sun block, etc.) and quite comfortable. We love that there are only 10 huts with a max of 20 adults. We lucked out and had the place to ourselves for the first 24 hours. More couples arrived in the days that followed and everyone was so lovely to get along with. We did a whole lot of nothing during our stay which is exactly why I booked Elysian. However, if you want to do some non-motorized water activities those are available along with some hiking. We enjoyed all the delicious 5 star meals and drinks! The property is a dream and we are looking forward to going back someday. Note: We were able to take the amphibious boat in from Airlie Beach. If you are going in and out of Hamilton Island, you do need take a helicopter.

Amazing stay, what a wonderful experience as part of our honeymoon. Staff is so helpful, food is outstanding (breakfast, lunch and dinner)! You feel at home in a cozy island close to the nature. Very exclusive, only 10 villas, 20 people maximum. The staff do their best to please you and everyone has smiley faces and try to do their maximum to please you. The Whitehaven excursion with the hotel is amazing, the hotel's staff is here to assist you with sunshades, suncream, pic-nic and lunch, swim suites (stinger season), etc. they provide all the necessary tools and advices for you to enjoy this magic day at this paradisiac place. Helicopter transfer is a must if you can afford it!! Sad to leave!
Not the fault of the resort: Unfortunately the beach (not really sandy, it's a rocky area like most of the islands in the Whitsundays) is currently not in the best condition due to past heavy rainfall which has created rockslides and piles of seaweed/leaves which are not very pleasant when you get into the water for water activities. Constructive comment: We understand the need to limit water consumption as the hotel draws its water resources from rainwater reserves, but it would be interesting to have a water point by the pool to clean yourself when you go out and come back in, especially after a swim in the sea water. Similarly, a small vase of water in front of the villa would be nice to avoid getting the villa floors dirty until you reach the bathroom.

Stunning location!! Truely a secluded island. The chef prepared delicious meals, catering to requests and preferences willingly. The staff were so helpful and friendly. We loved our stay!
Two very small things could’ve made our stay even better There are 10 villas, so 20 guests but only 10 pool loungers… meaning a few days were spent shuffling between pool loungers when they were available, a little awkward. The other thing was simply that we arrived during stinger season, so we would’ve liked to do above water activities. We had kayaks and paddleboards which were great, but a small catamaran or similar could’ve helped make use of the water further

Cannot fault this place. From the incredible food to the attentive and kind staff, truly a phenomenal experience. The dinner was a standout, a delicious three-course meal that exceeded all expectations. The combination of impeccable service and exquisite cuisine made it an evening to remember. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting the ultimate relaxation and adventure experience.

This stay exceeded my expectations. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. It was a quiet but not boring place with good service and options for paddling, canoeing, or snorkeling with very good equipment. The 5.30 pre-dinner hour near the pool with canapes was a great idea. The food was a creative surprise every day, and the cook was more than perfect and had considered my food limitations. There were too many small details that made it so exceptional, for example, the surprise that the chocolates left on my pillow were lactose-free, the good quality complementary wines, the nice clean trail to another beach, the rainwater for showers and the environmentally friendly shampoos and creams offered in the villas. All were carefully planned for a comfortable stay, even for a single visitor.

What wasn’t to like about this place! I went here with my husband on our honeymoon, and we rented the villa with the plunge pool. What an amazing time we had! Every meal was fantastic, the staff was so friendly, and it was the perfect place to unwind and relax.

Everything was absolutely perfect. Only 20 guests max on the island, there is a calm and peace with the nature that you cannot find some place else. The catering is absolutely fantastic and the staff is so nice, there are not enough words to show how much it all added to a perfect experience. Thank you so much to everyone at the retreat!!
It was all perfect.

I absolutely loved our stay at Elysian, everything was perfect. The staff in particular were always going above and beyond, personal customer service. I barely saw my glass empty, very attentive. In particular a big thank you to Lily and Tracey thank you for making our stay so comfortable and making our trip to the Whitsundays come true. The food was incredible, forever changing menu. The helicopter transfer was also a highlight.
There’s really nothing not to like about Elysian, it’s an amazing resort, If I had to pick hairs, we were asked at 9.10am to check out at 10am due to the hotel being busy with guests arriving which is understandable.

Everything was absolutely fantastic! The location, secluded and super relaxing, but with many activities to do if one is a bit more active. The staff which is super lovely, personal and extremely helpful (special mention for the help received when we had issues getting there due to a delay in our plane and for arranging our day trip to Whitehaven). The structure, luxurious even in the smallest details such as the amenities and decors. Really, a true paradise! Could not recommend it more.
Nothing. Everything was perfect.
