This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. We book a deluxe room with balcony. The 2 different rooms we have stayed in have been spacious & both have sea views. The rooms are clean & toiletries & towels are refreshed as & when required. As we were there a week this time we also had a sheet change. The 'free' complimentary continental breakfast being a bonus. Great location. Just a 5 minute walk to our family's house.

It's a shame that there are no longer fresh fruit or weetabix available as choices on the breakfast menu, however, there are plenty of choices, this is just an observation on our part.

Loved the inclusive breakfast. Liked that the room could be cleaned each day, if required. Location excellent & the noise of the 'port' was minimal with the glazing. Comfy bed. Towels & toiletries replaced when asked for. Apart from the abruptness of the receptionist on arrival all the other staff were very nice.

Arrived at the agreed check in time to be told that the room wasn't ready & wouldn't be for another 2 hours. Said it would have been nice to have been advised by any communication method. Meant we had to change all our plans for the day. We weren't offered storage for our luggage in the mean time either. I actually thought the washing machine would be in the room, not a communal one.

Staff went out of their way to keep our motorbike safely stored. Generous breakfast. Meals in the bistro were delicious. Bed and pillows were very comfortable.

Some noise from the bar below, ( to be expected as it is a pub) but it didn't go past midnight and it was muted by good thick glass in our windows.

Free breeky nothing fancy or anything but still quite good. The cleaning team does a really good job one of the cleanest I've been too. Tv can be tricky to operate but hey I'm not australian or much of a telly guy Highly recommend if your in bernie stay here you won't regret it

Room 8 u couldn't change the room temp the box thing was broken room 7 was great could set the room temperature to 30 and enjoy and room 8 door kept on making little noises when the fan was on for some reason

Fantastic accommodation, and value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great value for money and very clean and comfortable. The room facilities are great with good heater, modern comfortable bed/bathroom. Fully stocked mini bar is a welcome surprise since most hotels don't bother at all these days! Alcohol and non alcoholic drinks, nuts, chips, snacks etc available. And complimentary high quality tea coffee (sachet fancy coffees like cappuccino, caramel latte etc.) and good hot chocolate - also a rarity! most places just give you blend 43, cheap tea and no hot choc. And complimentary Tim Tams! The breakfast was fantastic as well, real milk, cereal, toast, jams, honey, Vegemite, muffin etc. And generous portions and serving. Will definitely stay again next work or leisure trip.

Can't say anything bad about it, smells a little funky in the entrance way but it is an old building and its not bad! The room, facilities and hospitality more than make up for it! Majority of big city modern hotels could learn a thing or two from Beach Hotel on an enjoyable stay and room facilities/complimentary tea/coffee/hot choc, breakfasts and value for money etc.

the outside of the hotel does not do justice to the gem inside. they are obviously doing upgrades and even once I was inside and walking down the halls my expectations were not high but once I opened the room I was impressed! lots of space in the room and the bathroom. the bed was soooo comfy, continental breakfast provided and a great modern laundry available for use. added to all this was friendly and approachable staff willing to help whenever they could. definitely value for money

Signage for the accommodation was hard to find and at first we came through the public bar this may put some people or families off.

Wow! We were pleasantly surprised. The rooms have recently been renovated so it was clean and comfortable for our little family. Breakfast provisions were a plenty, staff were great and steaks in the bistro delicious. We would 100% stay again

If I had to nit pick - The bin in the bathroom in our room wasn't emptied which was full of sanitary products. The shower had a bit of mould in the bottom seals. The beds were a bit lumpy and uncomfortable

Good sized room, bright, clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast delivered to our room the evening before, toaster in the room. We were upgraded to a bigger room on arrival. Handy for dinner downstairs in the pub.

A bit noisy to start with because of location above a pub but quiet once the pub closed at night, we were there on a Friday night. Needed another luggage rack for a second suit case.

My room was very boxy, no table and chair so I couldn't work int heir., the ceiling light blew during the night and with no external window light that was interesting. All in all it was fine. The bistro was well priced and service and food both great. i did find it hard parking the ute a the back parking area was squishy.

my room had no natural light and if I opened the window for airflow you had every heat pump noise.

Very large room with large tv and big bed. Brekky included in room. Nice balcony with the sea across the road.

If you decide to have brekky in their restaurant you have to pay for coffee. Heater in room needs to be removed as it's a fire hazard.
