The property was good for its age,clean and comfortable

Could do with double glazed windows,and split systems. The restaurant was great, the waitresses were fanatics for the amount of patrons including a bus load . There were two managers that were sitting having dinner watching the waitresses the lady manger got up and gave them a hand but the male just sat there shaking his head. If he had got up and served at the bar for 10 minutes instead of leaving 3 staff to deal with taking orders serving the bar ,bringing out orders cleaning tables ,it would of run a lot smoother,either that or employ a bar tender.

The room suited our purposes. Comfortable beds. It was a nice, welcoming touch to have the heater on in our room when we arrived. Great to be able to park at the front door. The meal in the restaurant was excellent - well-priced and delicious.

The bathroom was quite small, the hairdryer outdated and relatively powerless. SUGGESTION: It would have been perfect if there had been a carport/verandah to park under, especially considering Queenstown's average annual rainfall.

The room was compact for 2 adults but had all the facilities. A recommendation would be to ensure that the reception is available when you check in so you can ask for toaster, plates staright away as they don’t have these facilities available from the start for security reasons.

The door handle in the bathroom didn’t lock and the hot water tap in the basin made a scary belching sound everytime it was turned on.

People were friendly and service was great. Really enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant, drinks by the open fire and continental breakfast. Bed was super comfy and the shower had good pressure with nice toiletries provided.

Room was cold and smelled musty/damp on arrival. Warmed up nicely on our return from dinner after having left the oil heater on. When going to bed, we went to get the extra pillows from the cupboard but found them to have mould on them, so they couldnt be used. We appreciate this would be difficult to combat given the environment and weather. We didnt bother asking for them to be replaced, but am sure the staff would have happily don't so had we, as they were very accommodating in every respect. It wouldnt stop us from staying there again.

The Staff were excellent. Very friendly, smiling and welcoming. The fire place was so cosy in the main motel area. The views of Mt Owen were sensational from the motel. Room was comfortable and everything was clean and tidy Our main meal in the evening was fantastic. We loved staying here and would stay again when next visiting Queenstown.

The greeting we were given on arrival was very heartwarming, Silver Hills Motel location and outlook are in a prominent position to view the history of the past in a time gone by..... the view was stunning!!! and we are so pleased we had the pleasure of staying in Silver Hills Motel. The rooms were comfy and clean, the restaurant was very welcoming and friendly, and the food was excellent. With many thanks, Vicky and Murrey.

There is nothing we didn't like.

The food and service were amazing 👏 I had the lamb shank n veges and my husband had the ribs that were falling off the bone, and both were delicious

When we arrived it was raining and very cold 🥶 in our room. It would have been nice to have the heating on on arrival.

The Location. Room presented clean and tidy.

Staff could have been friendlier. We stayed at a number of places throughout our trip and this accommodation disappointed us in terms of staff friendliness. All other accommodation sent a message advising of where to find the key (yes it was on the office door but everyone sent me a message prior to arriving telling me this). Also, I didn't find the staff that friendly i.e. hi, how are you, where are you from, where are you heading. It came across as just routine - hi, checking out, OK thanks. That was it. I doubt I would stay here again.

The room was a bit dated, but warm, with a heater provided and electric blankets. It was a fair size and very comfy. The restaurant at the motel had excellent food, great outlook from your room or the bistro. If staying in Queenstown for an over nighter, this would be more than suitable.

Sorry I didnt get all the names (long tiring drive from Hobart). From the lady that did the easy no fuss check in, plus another lady that put me in a lovely quiet window seat to another lady that found me an iron. I appreciated you all
