Everything. The apartment was spotless and really comfortable. The bed was perfect for us as nice and firm and we used the electric blanket one night which warmed the bed nicely. The two sofas were extremely comfortable and provided good back support. There was also a nice dining room table and chairs. The kitchen was very adequate, and fresh milk was provided in the fridge. The bathroom was spacious with a separate toilet. The shower had good pressure and nice toiletries. We used the communal barbecue, which was a nice big grill with a pleasant seating area. We also used the guest laundry. Paul and Sharon were friendly hosts, and we told them how happy we were with our stay. The apartments are close to the grocery store and a short walk to the cruise boat terminal.

Cannot fault the apartment, it was spacious clean and comfortable with complimentary soaps and tea coffee ect. The only reason i didn't give a 100% rating is because of the laundry facility.
The laundry facility only has 1 washing machine and 1 dryer, due to the time of year we went (winter) everything is wet so if someone is using the laundry you have to wait in line. A family of 4 was washing in front of me so I had to wait a lengthy amount of time to be able to do my washing. This is the only fault of this little gem.

A nice 2-bedroom apartment.Renovated a few years ago. My stay was in mid-winter, and the heat pump warmed the entire apartment. There was also a heater in the bathroom and electric blankets.So I was toasty warm.
The distance to the washing machine room in the dark and inadequate lighting. I walk with a walking stick and found the distance difficult.

Castaway is a lovely set up. It is a short walk into town even closer to the pharmacy and supermarket and petrol station/garage. The owners are super welcoming and have a great property with all you could need. We stayed three nights to enjoy the main attractions of Strahan which is a very interesting town. The small outdoor theatre show of "The ship that never was". in the evenings is a must see. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the town and environs.
The property was great with no issues whatsoever.

We were so impressed with the facilities. Very comfortable and clean, spacious and everything we needed. The car washing and laundry facilities are fantastic and the money goes to a great cause. Also thankful Paul recommended we go to see the local play “the ship that never was” this was a highlight of our trip!
Nothing- though a screen door would be nice so you could leave the door open and get the breeze without letting the creepy crawlies in.

Large apartment style motel room on ground floor level. Lounge dining area, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and bathroom. All clean and well presented. Laundry onsite and gardens well kept, with a sunny BBQ area. Owners on site and extremely pleasant people. Quiet location just up the hill from the wharf. Bed comfortable and water hot. Would recommend for couples or family of 4, even cater for guests with disabilities.

Lovely little property with two bedrooms, bathroom and open lounge/kitchen - full size fridge and cooker and well equipped for catering. Small seated area outside but had a communal bbq area - communal laundry. Space for one car next to accommodation. IGA two minutes walk away - reasonable stock. Centre of Strahan 10 minutes walk for Cruise and many eateries, half an hour walk for the Railway.

Super spacious, clean and comfortable apartment. The kitchen was well equipped with all you could need. The apartments are really well located - very close to the supermarket, and less than 5 minutes from the Esplanade (starting point for river cruise, shops and pub). Paul and Sharon gave us a friendly welcome, and were really helpful with local advice. Would definitely recommend these apartments.

The apartment was clean and neat. Paul, the owner, was very friendly and he offered terrific advice and insights about local sights, and what we could look for on our journey when we left for our next destination. The complimentary DVDs were a nice touch. The owners are also making gradual changes and upgrades to the apartments, so the rooms are very clearly well-maintained. The apartment was very close to the local IGA, and within very easy walking distance of the restaurants, walks and boat harbour at Strahan. I stayed elsewhere in Strahan the previous year, for a higher price, and these apartments were superior, with much better facilities, and offered much better value.
There was nothing we didn’t like that isn’t already in line for being fixed! The heater didn’t quite meet expectations, but that is one of the planned upgrades. A few things did not work (like one hot plate on the stove) but that will be fixed now that someone has informed the owners. I encourage other travellers to always speak to the owners/managers in person, so they can get direct feedback and keep working to improve, because in this particular case, Paul and his wife clearly valued the feedback.

We were two senior friends travelling around Tassie. The unit was two bedroom with lounge and kitchen, fully equipped. Easy access to local supermarket, pharmacy etc. The owners were on-site to assist with directions and recommendations. Laundry facilities were handy and our car was right beside the unit.. We felt warm and welcome. It was a short drive to Main st. and waterfront where we boarded our boat for the Gordon River Cruise.
I can't think of anything which we would require that was missing.
