Our stay at the Halls Gap Cottage and Unit was absolutely perfect—a true hidden gem in the heart of Victoria! This family-friendly destination had everything we could have hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the exceptional customer service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and well taken care of, offering great tips for local hikes and activities. The amenities were outstanding—each cottage and unit was thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The layout was spacious, clean, and incredibly family-friendly, with thoughtful touches that made it easy to relax and enjoy our time together. The views from the property were breathtaking, offering a stunning backdrop of the surrounding mountains and native bushland. It felt like we were surrounded by nature yet had all the comforts of home. What truly set this place apart was the unique balance it struck between a sense of peaceful solitude and community. While the cottages were wonderfully private, we still felt connected to other guests, making it easy to engage with others or enjoy quiet moments in nature. The location is ideal for families who love outdoor activities, as it’s just a short drive from some of the best hikes in the Grampians National Park. The heated indoor pool was a hit with our kids, providing hours of fun, and the tennis and basketball courts offered additional activities for the whole family. We loved the community kitchen, which was perfect for preparing meals together and enjoying time outdoors. For nature lovers, this place is a dream—the property is abundant in native flora, fauna, and wildlife, so we were treated to daily encounters with kangaroos and a variety of birdlife. Whether you're here for a weekend escape or a longer stay, this place offers a truly unique family-friendly experience that combines adventure, relaxation, and connection with nature.

Our stay here could not have been better. It was very quiet people were staying away because of the fires. Halls Gap was safe and open for business and the air quality was good. Our accommodation was spacious and had everything you needed. Bed was comfortable and the shower was good. We particularly enjoyed the indoor pool. Jurek was very friendly and happy to help. Plenty wildlife around. Around a 30 minute walk into town but you could use the free bikes.

What a fantastic find! The rooms were comfortable, staff friendly and the amenities were great. So very clean!! The access to Netflix was a delight! I would definitely stay again. We haven’t used the pool nor the gym, but we check them out and they were great facilities.

We were very happy with this property, but here are some suggestions. The breakfast bawls could be a bit bigger. The porridge kept overflowing in the microwave. We stay in room 3 and we could hear the family in the adjacent room. I am not certain if the guests were too loud or the room walls were too thin. Maybe it is a good idea to book the separate cottages for a bit more privacy. This however did not spoiled the experience. I would definitely return to this place.

Lovely older style cottage, warm and comfortable, extremely well maintained and very clean and tidy. Bed was very comfortable with electric blankets. Good size kitchen & living area. Bathroom is small but very clean and shower has great pressure. Stayed one night, would have happily stayed longer. Lots of amenities. The loveliest of hosts who were friendly and helpful.

It was a nice little cabin in a rustic resort. It would be a great place to stay longer. We were only there for 2 nights, but they have bikes to borrow, a pool, a gym and lots of wildlife. Beautiful birds and kangaroos right in your yard. Nice outdoor seating at each cabin. Very pleasant place to stay. DVDs to borrow if you want some evening entertainment.

We liked everything!

Had everything we needed and the accommodation was very clean. The reception lent us a hiking book which was invaluable for our stay and added to the pleasure of our sightseeing.

The lounge was very uncomfortable for older people but that's just a personal preference. The TV was very small and hard to read the channel guide and subtitles.

This place has everything you need for an outdoor experience. Located close to paddocks, wildlife is everywhere. If you want a bike ride, you can grab a bike on the property and go; if you want a barbecue at night or marshmallows on the fire pit, you got it. Walking to town was filled with stunning views, kangaroos and kookaburras and cockatoos.

The cottages surpassed our expectations in terms of cleanliness. Additionally, the reception was exceedingly warm and accommodating. Many activities are provided, encompassing amenities such as an indoor heated swimming pool, tennis court, basketball facilities, complimentary bicycles, a gym, outside BBQ facilities with TV etc. The kitchenette proved to be ample for a family's needs. The cottages are nestled in a natural setting, frequently visited by a variety of animals and birds.

The power switches in the bedroom were non-functional, preventing us from utilizing the provided electric blanket. However, we discovered in the morning that they had tripped and the protector switch was located within the cupboard. The absence of bathmats was notable, posing a potential risk of slipping.

Spacious, well-equipped unit; quiet, comfortable, convenient location. Able to use the guest laundry. Blanket provided, so we didn't have to suffer under a heavy doona all night! Wall-mounted panel heater was sufficient for our comfort most of the time.

We get so used to whisper-quiet split a/c systems, the old-style window-mounted unit was unexpectedly noisy. But we didn't have to use it much anyway.

Grampians View Cottages is a wonderful place. Our one BR apartment was spacious with a veranda. We loved that there were kangaroo visits to our place in the evening if you were looking. There is good Netflix streaming which is not typically the case although there is no cell service so you rely on the WiFi. Great family grounds and access to all Grampian attractions.
