It's a very pleasant place to stay, quiet as it's a bit away from the town but close enough to hikes and amenities. Whilst dated the cabins are very comfortable and have log fireplaces and with an adequate kitchen.

Having stayed here for many years, it looks like there is new management who are a bit hands-off unlike the previous managers. The office was closed the entire 4 days we were there. Firewood is no longer supplied. Outside bins were only emptied once. One of our electric blankets didn't work and despite phoning the manager this was never rectified. I hope the new managers reflect on this and take a page from the previous managers book. Still a very comfortable place to stay but a few things let it down.

A very spacious cabin, with comfortable bed and lovely bedding. Lounge seating area very nice, plenty of pots and pans etc The sink, cooker and worktops were clean. Decor and curtains very pleasing and cosy. bathroom very good with warm light bulbs overhead. Patio furniture on the front deck, plus visiting kangaroos! The very polite and helpful young lady who was turning the cabins round for the next guests.

A much cleaner kitchen would have been appreciated. It looked like it needed a really good deep clean...... not done over many months. The wasting of hot water from a pipe that never stopped over the 3 nights we were there. A large puddle had formed outside our bedroom window. I reported it to the young cleaner, who said everyone who stayed in No 7 had mentioned it. Management had not acted on the information. It was puzzling to see a large Christmas wreath on the reception door, and a line of small Christmas trees inside. It's APRIL ! Reception was never open, only a phone number to contact someone. The pool was netted over, with instructions what to do if you wanted to use it.

The cabins were clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. We loved the fact that the extensive grassed area behind the cabins was visited by lots of Australian wildlife - we saw emus, kangaroos, native ducks, parrots, kookaburras. All wild, in their natural environment. Plus the views of the cliffs were just spectacular, and changed throughout the day as the sun moved.

There wasn't really anything we didn't enjoy about the accommodation and facilities. It would be good if they provided advice to visitors on how to behave around Australian wildlife. We saw people letting their children chase the kangaroos, and other people trying to feed the kangaroos on chunks of bread, and trying to get too close.

Everything went well. I was booked in at a Stawell motel, however the highway noise from trucks in most places I have stayed there = terrible, so I lost my online $155 payment and went to Halls Gap (20 mins away). I am a company CEO & frequent world traveler & these log cabins are one of the best places I have stayed! Beautiful quiet location, super clean and comfy rooms, full kitchen, wood fire place and view from kitchen was an area with kangaroos and I even saw a very big deer in the morning = amazing! Pool area and barbecues are all walking distance to the local supermarket and pubs etc..

Nothing as it was superb! and great value for money and going back with all the family.

Great little comfortable cabin with everything you need. Very spacious and good cooking facilities. Very handy spot for exploring the Grampians, and very reasonably priced! Lots of wildlife around too which was great to see! The highlight was probably the porch areas outside the cabin with a table and some chairs to enjoy the sun

The cabin felt a touch outdated in areas, but still very clean and comfortable and it wasn't really an issue

These cabins are in a natural setting, with a great outlook, and in one of Victoria's most picturesque places. The cabins have everything you need for a short, or longer, stay. Nearly all of Hall's Gap accommodation is along the main roads but the cabins are set back and a little bit away from town centre so it's quiet. There is an excellect walking path into the town centre where there are multiple eating places but be warned, the town dies a bit in the evening in off peak!

Nothing really.

Lovely to have the wood fired heater and the other heating as well. Clean and comfortable. Had facilities for self catering if that’s your preference.

Would have been more welcoming if the heating had been turned on prior to arrival - colder in than out when we arrived. Signage was very difficult to see on arriving after dark.

The cabin was lovely and cosy and well appointed. I was able to use the fireplace, which made my stay that little bit nicer. The location was quiet and the abundance of local wildlife was also pleasant.

I had some difficulty communicating with a couple of the staff due to their limited knowledge of English. However, they were still very pleasant and helpful. The location is also away from the town centre, meaning it was a little far to walk for dinner.

The cabin was exceptional. Every amenity and detail has been considered. The wood stove was amazing and just added to the relaxing ambience. Love love loved all the wildlife....especially the kangaroos right outside our door. Fabulous views of the mountains surround us. Such an easy proximity to town. Lots of wonderful walking and running trails around us. This is the most relaxed I have felt in a long time. Thanks to our lovely hosts for being so friendly and helpful as well as accommodating. We will certainly be returning soon!!

I cannot think of anything....this is truly our home away from home!

The rooms were nice size, kitchen well equipped and a large spa was a bonus. The property was very quiet even though it is located by the busy road.

The cabin was not an individual cabin but detached two cabin building. Luckily the neighbours did not bother us. The spa did not have spa salts or foam baths supplied. Also it was very slippery to get in and out, there was no any had rails or grip bars to help. This is a major safety issue.
