We loved the fresh decor , the wonderful fresh breakfast was unexpected . The bed was very comfortable .The managers were exceptionally good . Morning coffee was lovely in the neat garden It was very quiet after 10 pm .The location was very good , central without being on the main road . We always found convenient parking at the property . We stayed in the delux family room which was a good size The dining area , bathrooms and all areas were spotless .

I must add before I list what we didn’t like the property had only just been re vamped . We would have liked more drawer and hanging space for our clothes as we stayed for six nights An extension cord was needed to use the hairdryer as the mirror was too far away . The balcony wraps around the property it was not private and could not be accessed from the room . Our room was described as a family room but there was only a king bed no sofa bed . No toilet in our room only a shared one although very close by and very clean

We had an upstairs front room with a view of both the river and the sea. We enjoyed watching the weather from the comfort of our room, and from the balcony when sunny. In one day the weather varied from sunny to downpour. The room was attractively furnished and pleasant to hang in. There was a comfortable common lounge area. Continental breakfast came with fruit and fancy pastries.

Having a sliding screen on the cupboard was annoying to get to things. It would have been better taken off. Our room fridge didn't have a freezer so we couldn't refresh our freezer blocks for travel. However, the owners kindly allowed us use of their kitchen freezer and microwave. No low carb/ protein breakfast option - they are waiting for licenses.

Newly renovated. Bathrooms are shared but are very clean and well appointed. Shared areas are cute and cosy, same as the basic rooms. Owners/managers are very nice and accommodating. Locals who are full of recommendations. Think of it like staying at your chill aunty's with a basic but quality continental breakfast provided in the morning.

Room we had doesn't have air conditioning, which would be a concern at the hotter temps.

the design of the room and environment like a zen garden outside and the heritage little garden

1. This room no 4 was facing a public toilet. It was placed just under the terrace of the room. We felt discomfort sitting at the terrace, watching people using the toilet and smell it. Manager should ask Shire to build a high wall or fence to shield the apartment from public toilet. Considering that condition, the room was NOT worthy those money. 2. We did NOT like the idea to allow other people cross up and down our part of the terrace (through the little gate between apartments) even in the night. The first time we saw and hear someone crossing our part of the terrace in the night, we were frightened.

Newly renovated, the Retreat offers a tranquil oases in Augusta that is very tastefully furnished. Close to town and river cruise jetty, with a lovely view from the top balcony. Everything you might need and soon hopefully also meals.

Thought I wasn't going to like the shared bathroom but it really was no problem. Felt like the bathroom in a big house and was clean. Toilets located near the rooms on top floor.

Located in a peaceful area, close by to beautiful bays. The facilities were great, spacious kitchen with ample appliances and cookware. Large social dining space, as well as outdoor area with a bbq. The shower facilities were warm and clean. Free laundry facilities on site as well. Really enjoyed the stay.

On an evening the doors are not locked to the main building, it’s in a very safe area so felt fine. But it would have felt more secure if the doors shut/ locked at night.

This is a sort of combination property with a few ensuite rooms, which we chose, and others which share communal facilities. For the area it was reasonably priced, and we were very pleased with our room, number 5, which had a nice view and was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the fridge was useful. The room was quite small, but was fine for our 1 night stopover. The town centre was in easy walking distance.

Smallish room and no air con, but we knew that when we booked.

My Husband and I liked that it was walking distance to the town but did use the local taxi driver and Lucy was lovely she gave us a lift a lift a couple of time's. We took the coach from perth and that is walking distance to Baywatch Retreat. I highly recommend this we had a great few days.

Basic, but clean rooms, nice linen and towels. Spare towels left each day by the bathrooms was a nice touch. Great kitchen, well provisioned, restocked with coffee pods each day!

Some downsides, bedside lamps didn't work. Also shared showers have only one clean bathmat per day per shower, which is not enough given the number of people who go through them each day. Kitchen needed some salad bowls/large mixing bowls.

The access from both internally in the building and from the outside stairwell from the car park. Although we did not use the kitchen facilities it was great to know that we could have. The proximity to the Hotel for dinner was a plus as was the view from our accommodation. I couldn’t comment on the staff as we never saw them.

Carrying our luggage upstairs. My husband injured his shoulder.
