Lakeside is a beautiful old house which has been lovingly extended and altered to provide B&B accommodation downstairs with the owners upstairs. Jan was very welcoming and there are some lovely common and garden areas for guests to use. My fault but I hadn´t realised the bathroom wasn´t ensuite and was shared but that did not turn out to be a problem for our 1 night. It was spotless and large with a great shower.

Even though everyone tried to be quiet and considerate when coming through the main door whilst we were there, light sleepers need to be aware that the guest bedrooms are by the front door. We were disappointed that the breakfast supplied in our room was very basic. It would probably be better to advertise the room as having tea & coffee facilities rather than disappoint by calling it breakfast. The dining area was so lovely it was crying out for a nice breakfast.

I enjoyed my stay at Lakeside B&B and the host, Jan, was lovely. I can concede that this place may not suit everyone's tastes - there is overlap between the guest areas and the family areas - so if you do not want to interact with the family then this place is not for you. It is in a lovely location - a coffee shop a short walk away and a lovely lake across the road. Breakfast is a simple affair with ingredients/utensils provided in the room - fruit, yoghurt, weet-bix, muesli, milk, tea and coffee. There are quiet spots on the verandah to have breakfast.

We had a late night arrival at Perth airport but the host, Jan, happily waited till close to midnight to check us in and show us around. Very comfortable twin bedroom with TV, fridge, and a good selection of breakfast supplies in the room so we could have breakfast when it suited us. The shared bathroom facilities were modern and spotless, however we saw no other occupants and had those facilities to ourselves. The pool looked inviting but we were leaving early next morning so no time for a dip. Super comfortable beds and lovely quiet area around the lake. The home/lodge was a joy to explore. Highly recommend.

Location was fantastic, being very close to Lake Monger and walking paths. Closest cafes and takeaways are about a fifteen minute walk. I didn't need the breakfast, but porridge sachets, yoghurt and fruit were provided.

To access the shared bathroom you needed to walk through the family's kitchen and living area which I considered just a minor downside. The family members that I saw were pleasant and polite. I was given access to the family's backyard and pool which were beautiful, although I didn't have time to enjoy them as I only had a short overnight stay.

Thé large character fédération home, filled with many artworks and collectables from European travels. The home is one house back from Lake Monger affording easy access to lakeside activities/walks and 15 minutes Walk to Oxford Street eateries and convenience store. Also very peaceful considering proximity to busy roads. Very impressive home offering access to comfortable lounge room, family dining area, outside seating and beautiful gardens and swimming pool! Bedroom very attractive and in keeping with the era of the building with very high ceilings with traditional mouldings etc and interesting artworks. These features more than compensated for the shared bathroom facilities just down the hallway, which were most adequate. These comprise separate powder room and a laundry/shower/vanity basin with soaps and shampoos etc provided. Breakfast was nice choice fruit from a fruit bowl, cereals and yoghurt, teas and coffees in room.

The house is very comfortable. It's a stay in someone's lovely home. The breakfast was very good. The host is very welcoming, but without being intrusive. A great experience.

I am a bit uncomfortable with a shared bathroom, for personal reasons. That was my misunderstanding when booking. But it didn't actually prove to be a problem in practical terms during my stay.

Jan and Steve are delightful helpful hosts. The location was absolutely perfect . It is in a quiet lovely neighborhood with easy access to dining and peaceful walks. The back veranda offered the perfect spot to chill after a busy day of exploring Perth. My wife and I would definitely return if our travels brought us back to Perth

A lovely place to stay, great location, the hosts were very friendly and welcoming, making you feel relaxed and at home, in their home. Everything you should need for your stay was provided and the bed was super comfortable.

Breakfast was provided consisting of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, tea and coffee. I would have however just loved a piece of toast.

The accommodation was welcoming, peaceful and very comfortable. It felt very homely and sitting on the back veranda for breakfast was great - very pretty area especially with autumn leaves. Jan was very friendly and helpful with local advice. It was in a great location to restaurants and close to the city.

Quiet location and lovely garden setting. House is full of interesting artifacts and great books to read. Hoss were very friendly and left us to enjoy our privacy. Beds super comfy and lovely make your own continental breakfast which you can enjoy in the garden or kitchen.
