Beautiful location, amazing view from balcony, the apartment had everything you need and you still can get breakfast that was very good and awesome selection . Bed was very comfortable . Bus stop in front of Rathaus only 5 min walk to get to down town Innsbruck.Staff was super friendly and helpful. They also gave a welcome card so we could use transportation bus… for free.

There was nothing we disliked

Beautiful mountain view. Very clean room. Bus every 10 minutes to Innsbruck and return from 200 metres away. Hotels and restaurants close by. Small fridge in the room.I always like a kettle in the room but I only had to ask for one to use. Very helpful and kind staff. If staying 2 nights or more there is a pass the reception email to you for free public transport. Parking on site a huge plus. Very employable stay.

Very friendly owners, I was able to check in early and leave my bags on the last day, as I went snowboarding one more time. The breakfast was great. The coffee from the machine was tasty (not often the case in my experience) and I liked that they offered the local newspaper to read which made a more local experience for me. The location is very nice and quiet, and the views from the balcony were suberb. Would come back for sure.

The single room I had was decorated rather economical. Everything was fine, just a little less charm than I had expected, from having stayed in other places in Tyrol. Overall very good value for money.

The room is not very big but clean. From the balcony you can see the beautiful mountains and landscapes. Hotel is not far from Innsbruck, only 25 minutes by bus, only 5 minutes walk to bus stop. If you stay for 2 nights hotel will give you a free bus pass. Such a quiet location, you can take a walk around or go hiking. If you looking for some place for escape from the busy life I highly recommend this hotel.

There was nothing we disliked

Sonnenhof was easy to get to via bus from the Innsbruck train station. The room was lovely. Spacious enough, very nice balcony with chairs and a beautiful scenic view of the mountains. The man at the front desk spoke English, and was very kind and helpful regarding questions about the area. There were travel guides in multiple languages in the foyer as well. When we asked about feasibility of us doing the breakfast onsite given that we have allergy restrictions (gluten free), he said they could accommodate and the following morning remembered to bring out bread/other gluten free items for us. There were also plenty of other items we could eat at the buffet and it was delicious. Would stay here again!

Location is perfect. I spent so much time thinking if we should stay in the city centre or in Igls. So happy I spent our first 3 days in Igls. Breathtaking view - cannot exaggerate that enough. Snow-capped mountain almost 360 degrees. It's a shame our room is facing the only mountain without the snow 😅 but I understand that as it was a late booking. I imagine all the other rooms were already booked, if you are booking early make sure to request for the room not facing the front of the hotel if you want to see the majestic snow-capped mountains on your balcony. Hotel walking distance from spar (though closed on our whole stay in Igls - bad planning from my part). Would have been very convenient as there's a kitchenette in our room with complete basic amenities for cooking. Other reviews were correct, hotel dated but cannot fault the cleanliness. In other dated accommodations I felt I cannot use anything as feels dirty but not with this hotel. 5 min walk (or less) to bus J or 590 which takes you to city centre <->Patscherkofel. Bus rides take you to a free sightseeing tour, very excited whenever riding the bus. Coffee machine in the room which is a big plus for me.

Wished I had more time to just sit down in the balcony with my wine which I bought from the city centre. Too much places to visit too little time.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The view was absolutely stunning and made the entire experience so special. The host went above and beyond, paying attention to every detail to ensure our comfort. Their warm hospitality and responsiveness truly made this stay unforgettable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

Nothing as such

The room was excellent! A proper one bedroom apartment. A kitchen with little cooktop and appliances, and a seperate lounge/dining room. Lots of windows to enjoy the magnificent mountains, and a wrap around balcony. Location was excellent. Nice and quiet in a nice little village, yet a close walk to the bus which takes about 10 minutes to the centre of Innsbruck and back. Catch the 'J' bus there and back. You can also walk to the tram, but I didnt catch that, but its a really nice little walk. On recommendation I had dinner at the Austrian restaurant. It was really good and the waiter was very kind and happy. What a lovely little town. I love Igls!

Only thing was the bathroom sliding door was really hard to slide, but thats just a small maintenance issue.

I loved this town and the hotel! Thomas was an incredible host and helped me plan my days, whether adventuring (mountain biking, via ferrata, etc.) or relaxing (Lanser See). I fully intend to return someday and coming from Colorado (USA) that is saying a lot!
