Beautiful stay ... 15 -20 mins by bus from the Innsbruck train station/ city centre. The location is on top of a hill, in between lush nature but just beside the bus route. In front of the location you can see the green valley, with some farms and the animals. The stay was very tranquil, quiet and you can literally hear the nature : bugs, birds, night birds etc. The staff were very polite, very helpful and incredibly cordial ! They have a breakfast service but you have to intimate them one day prior. There are multiple restaurants nearby ( you have to walk a little, drive or you can take the bus ). Although situated on top of a hill, for people like us ( without a car ), it is very convenient to reach the Innsbruck city center by bus No. J. The bus runs every 10 mins ( both ways ) till 19:00. Post 19:00, the frequency gets reduced and the bus runs in every 30mins. The last bus from Innsbruck city is around 22:30.

Very lovely hotel with kind staff few kilometres away from the center of Innsbruck. We particularly appreciated the lovely room with the garden around (Garden room) and the fact that there was a kettle with some tea bags. It was really easy to park the car without any issues. We would definitely come back.

Unfortunately we didn't find any shower gel and shampoos in the bathroom and not a lot of toilet paper. Despite of this, the receptionist was kind and provided them for us really fast. We were surprised to see one member of the staff knocking on our door and coming in the room right after to remind us of the check-out time tenish minutes before the last moment.

Large room, good breakfast, decent bed, only 1 bus stop from ski area. Staff were super helpful sorting out evening restaurant bookings at local restaurants and setting up the steam/sauna/ spa area in afternoons on request. Also provided a pass for free use of frequent buses between hotel, ski area and downtown Innsbruck. Plenty of warm drink and cakes when returning to hotel.

Absolutely perfect ! Location is great..away..yet near to everything. Ample parking. Very cosy and clean. The staff are lovely! You get a free bus card to use (depending on the number of nights you stay.. I think). We stayed 2 nights. Huge comfortable room..with balcony! Great views! 20 minutes by bus to the centre of Innsbruck..get off at Maria-Theresien Strase. The reception lady gave us a fan for the room as it was very hot, being summer. That made a big difference. Slept better. Kettle and a tea tray in the room. Lovely bathroom. Lots of cupboard storage. Lovely seating area in the room. Shared balcony with seating. Very quiet rooms. English TV News channels available. There is a convenience store "Mpreis" ..3 minutes away by car..and a bakery called "Baguette" that served the best croissants!! Perfect breakfast place..with amazing views! Will definitely stay there again.

Shared balcony..maybe put a wooden partition?? No Air conditioning. Cant keep the door or window open at night, as the insects will come in..although the weather was cool.

Warm, personal greeting at check in. We were offered lemon water, sweet treats and a glass of schnapps. Lovely! Elevator in building for that first run with all the luggage. We particularly liked our room, a corner unit with access to large balcony and extra windows. All the staff were so kind. The breakfast was absolutely amazing with so many delicious options and truly premium ingredients. The cook was kind to make us “over hard” eggs as the ones they generally offer are “over easy.” The bus to Old Town was easy to use. My husband says this was his favorite place on our 5-week trip. Kudos to Katrin and Sarah for their excellent hospitality. Parking was easy.

We have no constructive criticism to offer. This place is a gem.

The staff was extremely helpful. On a stay of 2/3+ nights you get a free city card which made our transport free. There were other benefits of the card as well. Apart from that the location is great, although a bit far from the city centre, for people who love nature this place is just great. The bus stand was also right in front of the hotel so we didn't have to walk a lot for it. There was a golf course, horse riding, and hiking trails just walking distance from the hotel.

The wonderful bottle of prosecco and cakes on a tierd cake stand in our room arrival to help us celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The room was very spacious nicely decorated and clean. The location was just outside central Innsbruck but very close to the bys stop we were provided with a guest pass for free transport. The lady on reception was extremely helpful with maps and helping us navigate public transport.

The breakfast is really good!! I have know the location earlier before I book the hotel. It is situated a bit far from the city centre but the bus is very frequent and stop right in front of the hotel which is a plus. Along the way the bus journey also come with beautiful scenery . I will stay again here is I visit Innsbruck again. The price come with breakfast is really good value.

Only stay for one night. Wish I could stay longer.

The location is good if you are by car so you can travel around as well. If not, there is a ski slope next to the hotel and a very quiet area and it is still enjoyable for relaxation purposes. For fun, to reach Innsbruck or Solden, you need to be by car or you have a bus option. The hotel is very beautiful. Large rooms. Breakfast is lovely. The reception staff is adorable. We arrived late in the evening and we had a self check in (reception closing by 7pm). The easiest I have ever had. No effort at all. Very intuitive. Won't give details for security reasons.

Used the spa toilet and it wasn't clean. Also, 2nd day, in the room, they took out garbage + slightly arranged beds. 3rd day - nothing at all. 4th day - we left. The hotel is boutique and very small. The cleaning staff were my nationality and we are known for very good cleanness within any establishment. It was disappointing for me, especially after being nice and saluting the staff with kindness, to see they didn't do the bare minimum for the room. No staff after 7pm. No restaurant to eat (closest at 2km from the hotel). No bar. No service Amenities: shower gel + shampoo 2 in 1 in dispensers - not individual mini bottles. And no lotion and other regular stuff

This hotel is located just 5 minute walk from the ski slope so couldn’t have been better located for a ski trip. Staff are super friendly and helpful and I have to mention Katrin. She replied to messages quickly before I got there, sent me the welcome card by email and so I was able to use the public transport from the airport with the clear directions she supplied. On arrival, I was lucky to be able to check in early as the room was ready. All staff I encountered at Hotel Garni were helpful and friendly. Nice lounge and bar area which free cakes and warm drink each afternoon. I also enjoyed the spa area of the hotel with sauna and steam room plus free snacks and refreshments… Apart from the skiing there is nothing else around the hotel so the welcome card can be used to explore the nearby villages of Lans and Igls. Igls has restaurants, bars and cafes…Innsbruck and other places are not far from Hotel Garni and the buses run regularly every day until late (11-ish). All in all a lovely stay and wouldn’t have an issues recommending a stay here…

If I had to be critical then I would say the bathroom facilities are functional but dated so could do with a modern update… Carpeting in the rooms could also be updated. Also the hotel bar area could remain open longer as it closes at 7pm which seems a missed opportunity for the hotel. Lastly as the nearest hotel to the ski slope, the hotel could also explore teaming up with the ski hire and lesson shop Intersport to offer further discounts since they recommend them for ski hire and lesson. But these are just recommendations and do not detract from the overall stay.
