An amazing historical building , very well mentioned. The atmosphere reminds me of a period drama movie; classic furniture, all very clean. The view from my window was a dream: the central square of Klagenfurt with the Maria Theresa statue, the city mayor building -Rathouse, the towers of the church right behind-as a skyline. You are struck by the warmth and kindness of the staff.

The oddness of the entrance in the hotel where you expect to find the reception which is actually on the third floor of the building.

The staff where so helpful and welcoming. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The location, in the centre of the town was very convenient for dining and drinking options. Breakfast was lovely, with a broad mixture of what you would think of as a "Continental Breakfast".

Ok, I get that the hotel look, is more museum, than modern hotel. I've never seen so much marble in one place, or (replica) old masters' art works. But the look is one of classic opulence and they lean into it. Heavily. But it is what it is and you cannot deny that the place has a character. It is still preferable to staying in an anonymous chain hotel.

Great hotel, from the amazing decoration to the size and comfort of the room. Location is top, breakfast is simple but pretty complete and done in a great way. 24h reception and staff ready to support. Recommended!!

Structure is old but very well kept (ZERO issues with it) though the shower head is one of those small ones so not very modern. Bathroom vent was not working (but we haven't pointed this out during our stay). Parking in the square in front of the hotel also comes with a cost, so watch out before driving.

This hotel is like a Palace. You feel like a King and Queen as it is so beautifully decorated. It's also closed off from the street and it has a calm and restful feeling to it. The breakfast room is simply stunning. I recommend you have Breakfast as the Breakfast Room is mind blowing. Ornaments and mirrors everywhere. Incredible artwork. Beautiful carpets. Also perfectly located in the centre of Klagenfurt and opposite the tourist information where you can also hire bikes. Parking is in the normal car park directly next to the hotel. Make sure you do NOT go into the car park before checking in as they have a preferred rate for hotel guests. Unload and check in whilst leaving the car in the hotel unloading bay.

I loved the old school decor, and the friendly staff. Also compliments on having very comfortable bedding. Most modern hotels have this plastic horrible bedding. This was just a dream to sleep in the bed. Location is absolutely great you can walk to and from the train station. There was a lovely flea market on the Square this morning when I woke up. 

Not a big deal… I wanted there to be a safe in the room. There was a safe in the main closet, but it was free floating meaning if somebody wanted to walk off with the entire safe, they could. So they were just need to bolted down. Also, I would like the big enough to put a laptop computer in. This is not a big deal at all, but since I travel a lot, I decided to keep my valuables with me and walk around town with them. This is the only reason I gave it a nine and not a 10 😀

We arrived at the hotel after a full day in the car...our first impressions of the hotel were OMG! This is furnished like a Palace! We were very happy to find we had picked this hotel with the excellent service, the highly decorative and ornate room and substantial breakfast. Location is right in the heart of Klagenfurt - very easy to find our way around town.

Parking was at the covered car park - approximately 25m from the hotel. There is an unloading bay and we didn't feel the distance to the car park was much of a problem.

staff were very nice, they helped with any problem we had right away and with a big smile. the hotel looks like a real palace, its probably one of the best hotels ive been to. overall it just feels like one of those "wins" when booking a hotel.

The hotel is a bit ecentric, with the lobby on the 2nd floor, but it was colorful and clean, and the personnel was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located in the center of the city to access everything by foot. We arrived by bicycle and the hotel offers a locked room for bicycle storage (you do need to take them on the elevator down to the basement).

Certainly a palatial feel. Perfect location.

The shower could be improved: there was no shower curtain, so water splashed everywhere. Also, the shower head was installed at a low level in the middle of the bath, which isn't ideal if you're tall.

The place was amazing, a real palace! Every detail is a piece of art. The breakfast was also amazing, with nice fruits, sweets, yogurt and a very coffee.

The bed was a bit noisy and not so comfortable considering the pattern of the hotel.
