Your hosts, Iris and Alex, have created a fabulous B&B that exceeded my expectations. Everything was perfection, from my lovely, well appointed room, comfy bed, staff attentive to detail, INCREDIBLE breakfast (well beyond the usual offerings including homemade jams/preserves, artisan bread & cheese selection, yogurts, fruit, cereals, lox & cured meats, espresso, and eggs as you like them!). The charming hotel is clean, quiet, safe and well maintained--surrounded by gardens. It is about a 20-30 minute walk from the Aldstadt of Salzburg with walking/biking paths at the street, and good restaurants nearby. I am a woman 60+ traveling solo and it was truly a gem. Highly recommend!

I travelled with my mum and stayed in separate rooms. Both rooms were exceptional, very clean and comfortable. The location is in a lovely neighbourhood and we caught the bus into the city but it is walkable. Nearby we found a beautiful lake that we could walk around and sit by to relax. We also ate in two restaurants nearby which were great. The b&b is a great set up, it has a good feel about it and there is room to sit outside if you want to. The owners looked after us perfectly, quick to respond to questions, and so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was outstanding, the freshly baked cake was so good! Love cake for breakfast! The honesty drinks fridge is a great addition and we just settled up at the end of our stay. I would 100% recommend staying here and would happily return again. Definitely 10 out of 10!

Nothing.

The BnB was extremely clean, the room was spacious and the bathroom met our needs. The shower was lovely and large. I appreciated the concern about trying to be as "green" as possible, and it showed throughout the choices of the owners. We rented 2 bikes to visit the city and they were well maintained. The breakfast is a very nice spread of both savoury and sweet, there is coffee and eggs to order. The two owners are very kind and eager to help, if needed.

To be picky, I would say that the blind at the windows were not blackout and let the light in, in the morning, but this is just my personal preference.

One word: Amazing! Alex makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive, apart from being super friendly =) The place is really nice, the rooms and facilities are great, breakfast has everything you think of and Alex makes the best eggs, whatever way you like them. The location is great also, away from the craziness of town, but easily reached by bus or a nice walk (or by bike if you wish). Nice little touchs everywhere, definitely one of the best B&B's I have stayed at.

I wish I have stayed longer! So much to do and see in Salzburg, 2 nights was not enough. I will be back!

We stayed in the room above the garage, not sure how it is called, it was superb, perfect for the family, lots of space and nice bedroom view. The breakfast was good, you won't be hungry, but do keep in mind this is a private owned hotel, it cannot be compared to huge buffets some hotel chains may offer. There is a supermarket nearby.

It is a bit far from the Old Town, about 15-17 minutes walk. It is ok to go there once a day, e.g. in the morning, but going out twice felt a bit exhausting, we took a car ride if we felt like seeing night Salzburg.

We loved staying at Villa Verde. Iris and Alex are special folks who made our stay so enjoyable. Alex spent some time with us at check-in to review the bus information, restaurants, the Salzburg pass and the refrigerator that they have well stocked with drinks that you can pay for when you check out. It was so convenient to have parking at this B&B. Our room was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Felt very cozy there on the couple of rainy days that we had. Appreciate all the help that Iris provided with laundry and setting up a massage at a place near by. Alex goes out of his way at breakfast to ensure that you have everything that you want and engages with all of the guests during that time. The bus stops are very near by and you can take Bus 21, 22 or 23 to get to the center of Salzburg. Restaurants within walking distance too. Loved Osteria Cavalli's.

It was difficult not to get the bathroom floor all wet when taking a shower. I wish there had been a central place to sit with other guests at night to converse.

This was our second stay here and Alex and Iris are always the perfect hosts. Alex greets you at breakfast and makes sure you are fed and full of coffee. They are just a down to earth, friendly couple. Rooms are very clean and tidy. Breakfast you have a selection of continental and Alex will whip you up some free range eggs that are awesome. Location is good. It is a short walk about 0.8 mile into the city centre. It is pretty much a straight walk there so no hassle and not far at all. Bike friendly so if you can cycle if you don't want to enjoy the short walk but that really isnt needed. We would highly recommend staying here. It is great value for money but Alex and Iris make your stay enjoyable. You get a nice personal touch but without it being over the top and pretentious, they are just really good people, with a b&b that is in a good location and kept very well. I look forward to coming back again. Thank you for having us and next time we won't throw red wine up the wall. Love The Tomlins

Best B&B by far that we have stayed in anywhere and we travel a lot. From the moment we checked in we were met by Alex who welcomed us like we were family, very informative and a great sense of humor. The room was amazing and spacious with great little touches everywhere you looked, great shower and the most comfortable beds ever. The art work around the B&B was absolutely quirky and funky and all done by a local artist. We could walk to the old town in 15mins so location is perfect with free parking which is hard to come by in Austria. Keep up the good work Alex and family.

That we never stayed longer
