Close to down town through the tunnel. Very modern and comfortable. We were impressed with the coziness of the room. Small but very functional. Breakfast was included, and we were not disappointed. Everything you would expect from a Euro breakfast and then some! Desk staff was fun and very helpful. There was parking on sight, but you will need to get there to claim your spot. Limited amount. Overall, very nice place.

Parking could have been an issue. We got lucky and came in early to get a spot. The price was a bit high but we are caulking that up to the proximity to the old town.

This location is great! From the door to the historical park of Salzburg is a short walk though a safe walking tunnel or within 2 minutes you are at the stair to get on top of the Mönchsberg for spectacular views and you can walk all the way to the fortress. The main areas of the hotel is modern. Staff were very helpful and they gave us a free bus pass to use the whole time we were in Salzburg.

The rooms are old and need updating. Carpet in room is unclean feeling. No AC or mini fridge.

Hotel is in a great location to visit all the major sights on foot. Staff very helpful, room was clean although some items were a little tired and some stains on carpet. No shampoo supplied just generic shower gel, but a nice little kit with nail file and sewing kit was a nice touch.

We found it frustrating that there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. If you wanted a coffee you had to go to reception and they could get you one from the breakfast bar, but as we were on the 4th floor it was too much hassle. They do have a bar there, but it was either not open or you could only have a bottle of beer or a wine which had to be served by the person on reception so it was not ideal. People were hanging about waiting for her to finish her work on the counter before serving the limited drinks in the bar on a Friday night so it was hard for her too, and it was not her fault!

Property is located centrally, good transport option to reach to tourist places and airport. Property was clean and moderate sized room for 2. They have storage/ locker rooms to keep our luggage which is very handy. They even provides umbrellas which was quite helpful during our trip.

Exhaust in the toilet was not working for our room. It would be good if they provide hot water kettle and complimentary tea/coffee sachets in the rooms.

The convenience of the location is so amazing! I came for the Salzburg Music Festival (Salzburger Festspiele), and the performance venue is 6-minutes walk from the Hotel Neutor or 2 minutes by bus - I even had time to run back to my room to grab something during intermission! Hotel Neutor also has the bus stop right at the front door with multiple buses going both ways, and a bus comes less than every 5-10 minutes, so it's so easy to get to main train station, old town, Schloss Mirabell, Fortress Hohensalzburg (15-min walk to the funicular), and many other places. // The breakfast at Hotel Neutor is the most luxurious - with champagne, smoked salmon, beautiful puffs, croissants, and other delicious treats with so many options. Everyday starts strong with their most excellent breakfast. // Storage of luggage is super easy too if you arrive early before normal check-in begins. Highly recommended!

The hotel is extremely centrally located to the old town with only a five minute walk to the main attractions and restaurants. . It was quiet and within a three minute walk to a supermarket.

There is extremely limited parking which cannot be reserved. Whilst we found parking spaces onsite, we arrived early and were unable to check in so went for a walk. There was obvious confusion as when we came back we were told to move our cars as the spots were not free and we had to relocate to a public parking garage even though We had mentioned when we arrived about the cars. The hotel does provide a discount so the cost is the same as at the hotel but it does provide added difficulty in an unfamiliar city.

Helpful and friendly staff who took the extra effort to take care of extra requests such as microwaving some food. The location is very good for exploring the old part of the city. The breakfast was good.

The room wasn’t ready when we arrived even though checkin began two hours earlier. The extra cot given for our son was broken. The front desk did offer to resolve the situation immediately. The bathroom walls seemed unclean even though the sink, bath and toilet were clean.

The room's were decently sized. Each room was different, with different fixtures and layouts. The hotel was excellently positioned; a short walk led to the historic part of town with many restaurants and eateries nearby. Great for families who are happy to walk to the sights. They accommodated a cot for our 4 year old.

The rooms were lacking certain amenities like kettles, air conditioning, etc. which might make it too hot during summer seasons. Breakfast might be considered pricy for value.

We arrived early in the morning but were allowed to leave our car in the parking lot so we could already explore the city before checking into our room later in the day. Room was clean and comfortable, tasty breakfast served in the morning. Walking distance from everything you want to see and do in Salzburg.

Not much about this property that was not to like.

Good location within walking distance of the Castle, Old Town and restaurants. Nice spacious room excellent buffet breakfast.

Unfortunately room went 3 days without cleaning despite complaining to reception. However finally spoke with manager and problem resolved and partial refund given.
