We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Neutor Express Salzburg. The location is excellent—just a 15-minute ride on Bus No. 1 (direction Kleßheim Kavalierhaus) from Salzburg Hauptbahnhof. After 8 stops, you get off at Salzburg Reichenhaller Straße, and it’s only a 1-minute walk (about 100 meters) to the hotel. This is especially convenient for senior travelers and those carrying large luggage. Check-in is done at the newer building, and guests are then directed to the opposite block, which also belongs to the same hotel group. The room key card provides easy access to both the hotel entrance and the room, making everything simple and hassle-free. The room itself was clean and comfortable with no major issues. However, it would be even better if a kettle were provided, especially considering the otherwise good value for the price. What really stood out was the staff—every receptionist we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. Their warm hospitality made a positive difference in our stay. All in all, Hotel Neutor Express offers great value for money and a convenient location. We would be happy to stay here again on our next visit to Salzburg.

Great location, easy walk to the city centre. The lady on reception was excellent, explained everything very clearly. Parking - drive and park in the underground car park next to it, take the ticket. On checkout you get a card from reception to let you out after paying a discounted rate. We had a top floor room with balcony. The room had everything expected, a little warm due to the angle facing the sun, but overall nice. As I said the location made it perfect for exploring this lovely city.

A fridge in the room would have been nice on a warm summer's visit.

The location was very good and the room was spacious with 1,5 bathrooms. Comfy beds and a nice TV with lots of local programs.

It was dated and not very clean. The bathroom door for example didn't open fully, it was getting stuck on the floor, opening at about 40% only. The half bathroom smelled really bad in the evening, maybe from the drain. Fortunately there was an extra door, so we were fine. The drain in the tub was slow and it filled up with dirty water when having a shower.

the room was good with a pretty good bed. the shower was warm and with good pressure. It was a bit cold because the heat was off since it was not the season for heating, said the lady at the lobby. But it was in between 3 and 6 degrees the weekend I was there

I would have loved to have an electric tea pot in the room since there are very few places to eat around the hotel or have dinner except for the Chinese restaurant beside the apartments. When it is cold there is nothing better than a cup of warm tea.

The location is exceptional! You can walk to the old city of Salzburg through this awesome tunnel under Monschberg Mountain. We didn’t have to take public transport to get to any of the tourist attractions we visited in Salzburg. The room was clean, and the reception was helpful and friendly. Compared to other hotels in Salzburg, this was the best value for money.

What I did not like seems to be a common thing in Austria, so it was not the property’s fault. We visited in summer, and it was unusually warm during our visit. The room did not have air conditioning; however, a fan was provided. We were glad for that.

It was quiet, well located and very clean. The room was basic but adequate.

A power point didn’t work so there was little light the first night. Then internet didn’t work on second night. TV was poorly positioned and difficult to watch in a comfortable position after a whole day exploring by foot. The breakfast was very poor value for money - better obtained at a cafe.

Because the room had some issues, the staff was kind enough to get us another room. The room itself was clean, the breakfast offered across the street at the main hotel was nice. The location was just on the other side of the rock Mountain through the tunnel. The room also had a nice view of the mountains between Austria and Germany.

The lobby had an odd odor, but the rest of the hotel was fine

Location was perfect - within walking distance of everything!! Balcony was huge and very cute!! Room was comfy and clean - bathroom was a little small but had everything you needed including a nice size tub :) Parking available was a huge plus for us - this place was well worth the price and value paid - would definitely rent again!!

Check-in was a little confusing - the hotel check in was actually across the street but other than that - everything was perfect!

Good location. The hotel is right by tunnel which leads to city center. It takes some 5 minutes from hotel to city center via tunnel. There is also bus stop next to the hotel.

The room was dirty. Dust was on almost everything which is not used every day, the cleaning should definitely be more accurate. 2 women in reception were so unwilling to do anything, on any additional question they would answer I don’t know which is not a good answer for tourist.

We loved the location at Neutor Express. It was just a few minutes' walk to the city center and a wide variety of restaurants, shops, and historic landmarks. The beds were also very comfortable. The large windows to open were perfect to keep the room cool, in addition to the fan.

The place did look a bit run down which was not the best, and the hallways were a bit stale.
