We stayed in a family suite which was clean, modern, great size room (given we had 2 children too) and very much to our taste. The food varied every night and replenished quickly. The facilities for Children are fantastic and even after hours of skiing all they wanted to do was play in the football area, ball pit or indoor play. Outdoor pool temperature was a great surprise, VERY warm and just what we needed after a days skiing. Ski room with dedicated locker to leave all the gear. Staff were friendly and approachable throughout our stay.

Food slightly too salty for our liking and didn’t like adults drinking around the pool area (maybe that’s just our preference with 2 young children)

Large comfortable rooms, great facilities for children, if made our holiday as a family with friends really easy to all be together and the kids have spaces to play. Enjoyed the all inclusive menus. Handy for getting the ski bus.

I think each room should have a kettle and water should be available for free at meal times.

Very nice, clean, comfortable. The food was very tasty. The staff was very helpful. Ski in, ski out, just few steps or few steps to a bus station both direction - to cityXPress or Trassexpres.Two swimming pools, large sauna world. Children were excited about the huge playground area. Large room, we stayed in the new building in Junior Suite. Just perfect.

A glass wall around entrance door to the room are very nice designer's idea but it is not very useful. There is a noise in the room and light from the corridor but they promised to overshadow it soon at least. The staff in the restaurant could do a better job of refilling the food. It happened that almost an hour before the end of the breakfast/dinner, the food was no longer refilled. And family sauna could be much bigger, it is always overcrowded.

Overall, we really enjoyed this hotel! We are a family of 5 and we stayed in the new part of the hotel. We had a room with 3 twin beds for the kids, a pull out sofa bed and a double bed. We had plenty of space and the room and bathrooms were very modern and updated and clean. We faced the back of the hotel which is the hillside where donkeys, sheep, goats and chickens graze! It was so charming and relaxing to watch the animals on the hill. It's a very quiet location. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the family spa. The food was also delicious! Our kids loved the buffet and so did we. One aspect that really made our stay special is that the owners have their dog in the hotel! My kids LOVED petting and playing with the dog. It just made it feel like a family-run hotel.

The only drawbacks to this facility are that it's a bit far from Zell am See for young children to walk. For older children and adults, it's totally fine - about 1 kilometer. So we drove and parked at the Hallenbad to get to Zell am See. We would've given this hotel 5 stars if there was more for kids to do there. Unfortunately, it rained the entire time we were there. We would've love to have had a room where the kids could play board games, or maybe an indoor playground, or a covered playground outside. There is a playground outside, but it's not covered.

Great hotel for family vacation. We have to give the highest feedback for overall impression. Quality of food is at a very satisfying level with a good variety of meals. Hotel is clean and service is excellent. Staff was helpful and friendly, and I would especially like to give special thank to the Slavica, Ankica, Dusanka, Tamara and Monika, which made us feel whole vacation like home. Swiming pool was warm, playroom area great and kids enjoyed a lot. Ski Bus station is at 30m from hotel.

5 star experience in Hotel Der Waldhof. Beautiful hotel, fabulous rooms, excellent and very friendly helpful staff, wonderful choice of food, excellent pool and kids play zone. Everything was so clean and comfortable- a wonderful experience!

Large, clean, really nice room. Great spa, pool area and fitness. Great playrooms for the kids.

Food was not great. A shame that you have to be naked in the spa. Feels a little unsafe that you can walk in from the street to the playing areas with no key.

Facilities were excellent. Swimming pool . Basic bike hire included nice touch.

The bed was springy and too hard..Every time you moved, it made a noise.

Nice family hotel, close to city centre and 30min by walk to the cable car. The varied breakfast, good also for vegan. Very nice friendly staff.

maybe it will be good to replace the furniture in the room with more modern one (we stayed in the main building)
