We loved our stay at the Shahdag Hotel. Even though our view wasn't quite clear on the first day due to the snowfall, our mountain view room lived up to its name once the fog cleared. The staff was very professional and helpful. Our room was really cozy, clean and was just lovely. The bathroom had heated floors which was quite helpful in the cold weather of Shahdag. The complimentary breakfast seemed to have unlimited options which were all delicious. The location of the hotel is also scenic and right in front of the Shahdag coaster which is a plus point. Room service was quick and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of perfect! Traveling with family can be challenging, but from the moment we arrived, everything felt easy and welcoming. The atmosphere was warm, the rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the amenities made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. What truly made our experience exceptional, however, was the outstanding service we received from the hotel manager, Kamila. She went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, happy, and had everything we needed. Her professionalism, kindness, and genuine care for guests stood out in every interaction. Kamila treated us like family – always smiling, attentive, and ready to help with anything we asked. Thanks to her, our stay felt special and personal. It’s rare to meet someone who brings so much heart to their role, and Kamila is a true asset to this hotel.

A world class 4 star hotel. I think this one of the best hotel in Azerbaijan. We stayed here in late April, so the skiing season was already over but we enjoyed the beautiful spring scenery of these majestic mountains. We hiked from the nearby village of Kuzun to the village of Laza : just wonderful (the hotel can arrange a taxi to get back). The hotel itself is new, huge, and perfectly maintened, as for the rooms. The spa and the indoor pool are fantastic. Turkish bath and sauna are gender separated, so remember to book the 1 hour VIP Spa if you want to enjoy it in privacy with your partner or your friends. The restaurant and the breakfast were both super !

The hotel provides direct access to the slopes. The locker room is approximately 30seconds from the start of the first slope. All slopes and lofts were open and running during our stay. On our first day, 5 of us were checked in to the sports centre, equipment organised, ski lifts purchased and lessons paid for in under 45min. Staff were helpful in getting the ski boots on and ready to go. The ski resort is excellent and expanding every year with a good selection of green, blue and red runs. There is some off track skiing available for the more adventurous as well as one black run. The junior suite was spacious and accommodated my family comfortably. The rooms were well hated but also provided ac to cool the rooms for those who like cooler temperatures. Bathroom had a large bath and powerful shower as well as a baloney overlooking the slopes. The hotels offer a wide selection of restaurants to cater for all tastes and the children spent most nights in the arcade whilst the adults relaxed in the cafe/bar. Staff were helpful and friendly throughout the stay, Kamilla providing excellent assistance pre booking and during our stay. We went in 2024, came back in 2025 and will look to book in 2026. The resort is growing and expanding the very year and I look forward to seeing what next year brings.

WiFi was a little temperamental but apart from that everything else was great.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel in Shahdag. The staff were welcoming and kind, and the location was absolutely beautiful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The food was good, though slightly on the pricey side, but it matched the overall quality of the experience. Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable stay.

While the overall stay was enjoyable, I found a few aspects that could be improved. The bed and pillows comfort wasn’t ideal—it didn’t feel as cozy or restful as expected. Also, while the food was good, the pricing felt a bit high for the portions offered. A few more in-room amenities or thoughtful touches would have made the experience more complete.

Housekeeping rarely replenished the items used or only provided 2 of everything even though the occupancy in the room was 3 (we had the same issue last year). I had to take things from the housekeeping cart every day or call down to reception for towels, water, toilet paper etc etc

Good room size. Big washroom with good toiletries. Great mountain view from balcony. Lots of entertainment options nearby like coaster, paragliding etc. There was welcome biscuits/chocolates waiting in the room. Staff is very friendly

Breakfast could have been better as some bakery items (cakes, croissants etc) were not fresh and needed more items (like waffles, parathas, chickpea curry, bacons etc) considering that the breakfast was supposed to be continental and the high room rent. The Indian restaurant needed proper indian chef as the food tasted more like Azerbaijani cuisine than Indian food. We are a family with 3 kids (one 7 year old and twins of 3 years old), and were forced to stay in 2 separate rooms although we could have easily fit in one King Deluxe room with extra bed. There is this weird booking.com policy that 3 year old babies are counted as grown-ups, due to which only 4 people can stay in one room. Even a suite could have maximum 4 people.

Of course! I had a great experience overall. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The breakfast was fresh with a excellent variety of options, and the staff were really friendly. As for the location, it was perfect. Very close to everything like cable car, roller coaster, as I needed. Would definitely recommend!

Overall, my stay was very pleasant. If I had to point out one small issue, it would be the room curtains. They were a bit too sheer, which made it difficult to sleep in during the morning due to the sunlight. It wasn’t a major inconvenience, but improving this would definitely enhance the overall comfort.

Our recent stay at Shahdag Hotel and Spa was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming staff made us feel right at home. The check-in process was seamless, and every team member we encountered went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. The rooms were immaculately clean, beautifully designed, and equipped with all the modern amenities one could need. The comfortable bed, spacious bathroom etc. truly elevated the experience. The on-site facilities were another highlight. The location of the hotel was ideal, making it easy for us to explore all the snow rides in the area.

I feel like there is room for improvement in the restaurant menu by adding more continental options in the list.
