The hotel is actually like an Inn; you have to enter through a restaurant to get to a small reception; usually manned by one of the waiting staff. (*At night you have to use the side alley and a card to access through the back door). Things I liked: 1. The staff were all amazingly friendly 2. The room was basic, but clean and nicely decorated 3. It had a big flat screen tv that could easily be viewed from the bed 4. The restaurant food was very good, probably the best we tried in Brugges 5. The location - very central, right in the middle of the shopping district; within walking distance of the historical sights, the train station and there are many good bars, cafes and restaurants very close by. 6. The general vibe of the hotel, the evenings were always bustling as the restaurant was always full, but it never felt 'awkward' walking through it.

Things I didn't like: 1. Very limited toiletries in the room, just hand soap and shower gel. 2. Noisy in the morning – I had a room overlooking the side passage and at 7:30am they were moving bins through there and it woke me up. 3. There's no lift, it wasn't a problem - but I mention it for anyone who has difficulty on stairs, or those with heavy suitcases or baby strollers, etc - it's a steep staircase of about 25 steps. 4. No breakfast or possibility of breakfast as the whole place is shut until midday 5. No one there for checkout - you leave your room card in the room, then exit through the back door of the restaurant.

The room was comfortable and spacious and it was in a great location, it was only about a 10 minute walk from the train station and only about 5 minute walk into the very centre of Brugge. I liked the fact that you could get in to leave your luggage if you arrived too early, however the small luggage room didn't seem all that secure. Luckily all my stuff was untouched when I got back. The hotel was quite quiet too, you never got much noise from the street.

I was going to eat in their restaurant, but I went down the stairs and got completely ignored by every member of staff, so I took my money elsewhere to a lovely restaurant just down the road. I didn't like the fact that I had to pay City tax for two people even though I was on my own.

The location was superb - right in the center of the city and easy to find. Lots of shopping and food options. 10mins walk to the market square.

there was no “humans” at all at the hotel to seek help or ask for anything. It was all self-service with instructions sent over on messages on booking.com. When asked about not having a kettle for hot water, was provided with a rude response that reminded this is a 3-star hotel and it’s not provided and we can cancel the room and look for other high star-rating hotels nearby that provide hot water facilities - and of cos also being reminded that the fees paid of this hotel will only be refunded 50%!!!!

Location and style of the place was brilliant! Lovely restaurant and bar downstairs- we hadn’t quite realised this was here so would have eaten here as looked a lovely place to eat along with the menu but we already had reservations. Would definitely recommend - would be great to provide more tea and milk if at all possible - there was not enough milk for the tea and coffee provided but that was all and just a minor recommendation.

The location is perfect, it's a 15 minute walk from the station, and then you're in the centre of bruges with the famous market square a few minutes walk away. There are wonderful places to eat in every direction, most noticeably at the restaurant attached to the hotel. Our room had a toilet in a separate little room, with the sink outside in the room and the shower in the room facing the bed which was odd and we had to be careful to keep the floor from getting wet, but it worked well for a couple travelling together.

Other than the strange shower in the room which could have been awkward if you needed privacy, everything was fantastic here.

It was a lovely decorated hotel, super comfy. In a fantastic location with a beautiful view of Bruges. Any restaurants, shops, or activities where only a 5 to 10 minute walk away.

There was no elevator, so we had to carry our bags up 3 flights of stairs. There was no one at reception, but we were easily able to access our key card and got emails from the hotel in how to do so. Overall it was a fantastic stay.

It's family runned hotel which makes everything more personal and the staff is so friendly and nice. Everything was perfect for us and we loved the location. Looks far on maps from train station but isn't at all. Nice walk through a park on the way there. Since they don't offer breakfast, they have listed breakfast places around the hotel in short walking distance. Their restaurant is phenomenal, with great atmosphere and very good food and beers on the menu.

We liked everything!!!

Location was great, in the centre with a big underground carpark opposite. The room was clean and a good size with air con. The bed was big and comfortable too. Staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant attached to the hotel looked very nice, we didn't eat there but there were people eating every evening and the food looked good!

The bathroom didn't have a door, which I didn't realise when booking. It wasn't an issue for us, but it might not be for everyone, especially if you're sharing with a friend!

I have never written a review before however I had to to thank this wonderful host! The room was exceptionally clean and tidy and beautifully decorated. It felt very sheek and trendy! Lovely large shower and great air con and heating systems. Hair dryer provided and fresh sheets and room service everyday!

Nothing. This hotel exceeded my expectations. The host Joke was so welcoming and made us feel really special. We were not interested about eating at our hotel as we wanted to explore the area more. However, after exploration and comparing other restaurants to our hotels we decided to see if they could squeeze us in as nothing matched the decor or menu. This was no problem to them and it ended up being one of the best meals I have ever had! Service was exceptional by Alexandro the waiter. The owner, Joke and Emil made us feel so welcome. Thank you so much!

The location of the hotel is fantastic for exploring Bruges. The hotel is beautifully rustic and has a traditional feel.

Whilst the room was lovely, there was no door on the bathroom so no privacy at all (not sure if this is a European thing?!!). We were at least able to use the restaurant toilets downstairs! We could have done with a kettle in the room - a lot of cafes and shops in Belgium don't open until 10am, so it would have been useful to be able to have a coffee in our room to start the day
