I love the design of the hostel - very original and artistic. The hostel is located about 30 mins walk from the center of Ghent and about 45 mins walk from the train station (20 mins by tram according to Google but I haven't checked it). There are shops nearby. There's also a river right next to the hostel. The staff was nice. The hostel was clean, even the bathroom and the toilets (and that's not always the case). There was an individual power socket near my bed, which was convenient. There are also lockers for everyone in the room. The free breakfast was amazing <3 I really like it when hostels provide it. Hostel owners: know we travelers really appreciate it :) In general, it was a nice stay.

The wi-fi kept on breaking every now and then. If you're afraid of spiders like I am - be aware they might appear in the common area (the area is huge though so you'll have plenty of room to escape). The motion sensor in the bathroom could be located closer to showers/toilets.

The atmosphere is super friendly and relaxed; the staff is ready to help and promptly reply to messages in case of need. The place is ultra clean at any time! Breakfast is another added value: simple but with healthy products. Town centre is within walking distance, as well as the train station. Treat yourselves and choose a caravan: cozy, tiny and so 'stylish'. Highly recommended, especially when travelling on a budget!

I spent two nights in the dorm, two more in a caravan. The dorm is a russian roulette in some way, but it's known. Make sure you use ear plugs, which are available for free. Ear plugs or not, guys, put your phones in silent mode for the sake of other people's sleep!!! Caravan is a completely different story!

This is one cool hostel! The atmosphere and decor is unlike any hostel I've had the opportunity of staying in before. I slept in the dorms which wasn't outstanding, but if you go with a partner or have the money, you should definitely stay in one of the campers! The staff was super nice, the place was pretty clean, the common areas are spacious and unique, and it's close enough to what you'd want to see. Plus there's free breakfast and an amazing kitchen! Overall I would stay here again and I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat.

It's a little far away from things, roughly 20 minute from the city center. Which isn't bad but it also means that it's another 20 minutes away from the train station. Lucky public transportation is available. The dorms are not great, not horrible, so like I said before, you may want to splurge and camp in one of the nicer options. Lastly, the bathroom was quite far away from the dorm room I had, but this was just an annoying inconvenience.

I stayed here five years ago in one of the dorm rooms and liked the look of the caravans so much that I promised I'd book one if I ever had chance to visit Ghent again. I stayed in the "mini" caravan and it was such a fun experience! I loved the attention to detail within the caravan itself, and the sofa outside made for a relaxing evening. The breakfast had a very good selection and certainly enough for a vegan diet. I was travelling by bike and there are secure facilities, which is always good.

It has a very lovely, relaxed feel to it, which makes you feel comfortable. The breakfast was simple, but a lovely add on to the stay that I appreciated. I love when a hostel adds something to the stay and this place added character.

A minor note; the bathrooms are away from the rooms. So, if you need to get up at night or anything like that, just know its not in your room and you have to walk through some main areas to get to them.

The indoor camping concept was really fun, something different, we hadn't stayed in a place like that before. The camper van was small but cozy. Shared facilities were ok, enough toilets and showers to not have to queue. Our favourite part was the outdoor space and the little bar, a perfect place to end the evening. Staff was lovely. Fairly priced breakfast.

A lot of mosquitos indoors, including in the camper and the bathrooms.

Unusual Quirky Friendly staff Good breakfast Dorms big and spacious as were the public areas

Too expensive Out of the way location but bus stops are 5 minutes away Not much in the way of supermarkets, alternative bars or restaurants in the area Dorms v basic and far from showers and toilets Dorms didn't have good individual facilities like lights, shelves, individual plug points. Paying a premium price of €43/night I would have expected better facilities. But then there is no other competition in the city. For 43€ I would get a top dorm in Sweden

I loved the breakfast, very abundant and healthy. It was truly the best! Also liked the room, it was very clean, great lighting with all the appliances available. It even had a handwasher inside. Great toilets and showers, there were enough for everyone around the facility. Very conscious disposal of the waste, you had to separate everything in categories and there were labeled containers everywhere. Also, there is free stuff available in the kitchen and bathrooms. You can leave something useful and/or take in case of emergency. Everything was fantastic!

No laundry service available inside the hostel (Called Wassalons), so I had to walk about 3 blocks. Beware, because there are 2 close laundromats. The one called Wassalon Pleintje is a ripoff. Had to pay €13 to get everything clean and dry. This place was a suggestion done by one of the hosts (The only male in that shift, who was not nice). I suggest you go to the laundromat en Schaliestratt, crossing the river to the other side, only 2 blocks away. There, you pay only €6.

Was a great vibe, cool art and nice common areas. Bathrooms were a bit rough but perfectly usable. breakfast was great and the bar salami was incredibly comforting. They provided fans during the heat which was incredibly nice at night.

The two big dorms were a bit personal like a poorer version of big brother. Bed’s didn’t have much distance. Some lockers were broken, but they were big and could hold a hiking bag.

Really quirky look and feel to the place, very friendly and great space to have a good time. Few hiccups that were sorted very quickly. The caravans are very good spaces, do look into it to make sure they satisfy the sizes you need. We had a great time and would defo recommend.

We did have a little few hiccups, but everything was sorted very quickly and efficiently. I did also fall in the shower as it was very clean, but didn't have a grip standing mat! Nothing to worry about though!
