The staff was especially attentive and solved a major problem we had with a tour operator. The hotel manager was excellent in addressing our issue with the tour operator and was able to get our money refunded. When we had issues with our safe (the battery), the staff immediately addressed it. The location is one block from the Ipanema Beach! The hotel provides towels and umbrellas free-of-charge. There are wonderful restaurants nearby -- too many to choose from!

Best possible location you could stay at, for first-timers in Rio. The area is very walkable even in the evening. Going to the beach also works very spontaneously as it‘s a 2 min walk from the hotel. Breakfast was rich in options and very tasty. The Staff made us feel like we were taken good care off and always there to support us. Big thank you to them! The room is also very comfortable and has a good layout. Was cleaned daily.

The only thing that bothered us was the noise coming from the air ventilation unit, but having been around in Brazil for a while now, I guess that‘s just how it is and you can‘t escape it. The facilities could have been a tick cleaner for our taste.

I wish there was a microwave and a kettle in the room. We were eating out all the time because of this and even when we had leftovers from the restaurant we couldn’t take it back with us because we didn’t have a way to reheat the food.

Lovely room, good breakfast selection, amazing location, clean and comfortable.

The 2nd lift was broken for the majority of the stay, so getting to the room was taking considerable time. Also, on the first day, the lady at the breakfast wanted me to pay for it again even if it was included in price. After an argument, she checked with the reception, who confirmed that it is included and that no additional payment is needed. This check should have been done before arguing with me. No apology for the behaviour nor the attitude was given either..

I stayed here with my 14 year old daughter. It was a lovely hotel close to everything. Fantastic Breakfast!!! Great Location. Nice Room. Marvelous View from 11th floor on the lake and Christo. Cool Roofterrace. Friendly Staff. I believe the hotel lets you borrow chairs and a beach umbrella for free. I did not take the opportunity because of the 'cold' weather but it's a nice gesture.

On Friday night the hotel's bar on the sidewalk had some loud music playing. It got really noisy in our room as if we had our windows open and were located immediately next to it but in fact we were staying on the 11th floor! I didn't mind so much though but I can imagine that people do.

I enjoyed the room, especially the beautiful sea view. The rooftop terrace offered an even more stunning panorama. Breakfast was plentiful and featured a wide variety of options, though I did miss having tapioca.

There isn't anything I can think of.

The staff was amazing and they have been incredibly helpful with us: they let us use the chairs and ombrella for the beach even on our last day, and they let us use the gym's shower before leaving in the afternoon!

Great place to stay in Rio in a fun neighborhood a few blocks from the beach, staff was super helpful and friendly and spoke English very well. It was fun to hang out in the roof bar and also very convenient to have breakfast downstairs, we even had a delicious dinner in the restaurant as well one night.

Sometimes we had to wait a bit longer for the elevator but it wasn't too bad.

Close to the beach, good breakfast that starts at 6am, late check out at 12 noon

Our room was right infront of the cleaning staff storage area. We could hear staff chatter throughout the night. If you are a light sleeper suggest that you ask for a quiet room.

Nice room, not huge and no balcony. But friendly and well run. The bar on the ground floor is a great place to hang out at night, good music and atmosphere. The best thing is that it’s in a busy, well lit and safe street, with all the shops and services you need close by. (the beachfront two blocks away doesn’t feel so safe at night)
